  1. All you need to know is your going to be speaking to one of the best doctors in the world. Let him know your concerns and what bothers you and he will be up front with you and tell you what is achievable. Listen to his advice. You won’t get any better advice from anyone.
  2. No you won’t be able to cut hair with #1-2 without an FUT scar being obvious. However as long as the hair is close to 1” long it should cover the scar if it’s done at a good clinic. I would personally let my existing hair grow longer and use it to help mask the procedure. I know the awkward combover won’t look great but it’s better than walking around with a short buzz cut sporting a pink recipient area and a fresh FUT scar for 2 months. It’s worth the awkward 2-3 month period if it bothers you enough. If you can wear a hat it’s a non issue.
  3. I agree with Vox. I’m not sure why you aren’t going Fut since you plan to wear your hair longer in the back.
  4. No one is going to notice that scar. Nice improvement and I’m sure this guy is much happier now.
  5. Everything looks to be right on track. I went back and looked at my 3.5 month pics. My scar was not bad at that point but still slowly improved a lot between 3-6 months. Once all of the hair directly against the incision line all grew back and my redness all faded, things really began to look good. You made the right decision by getting this problem taken care of by a top notch doctor. I know I was in the same situation as you were in with living with a crappy result for 15 years and I am very glad I fixed my problem and can understand and relate to your situation. Congratulations and I hope things continue down a positive path for you.
  6. Yes you will look good in my opinion and you are doing it when you are young and still have some hair. As you get older, people will think you just like the buzzed look and probably won’t have any idea that it’s SMP. Most people your age will have no clue what you did because most have never dealt with hairloss and have no idea about any of the options to combat it. Good luck with everything! After considering your age and not wanting to take meds, you are making the right choice with SMP in my opinion.
  7. Everything looks great and you are right on track to a home run result. Congratulations on your procedure. You made and excellent choice of surgeon and it shows.
  8. If you were taking it and had no sides, why would you stop? That makes no sense.
  9. Great result from the surgery and this is also a great example of what fin will do for you. Congrats
  10. Do NOT go to Bosley again! Some of the surgeons in the US that I feel are the best are Konior, Gabel, Cooley. I would recommend doing another FUT with one of these guys to minimize your scar as much as possible.
  11. Go to Cooley or Konior regardless of how much more expensive they are. Save your money and go to someone who has a proven track record. This isn’t a one size fits all procedure where all surgeons are alike and do the same work. You should not bargain shop for surgeons or limit how far you travel.
  12. I agree 100%. If you don’t want to take it, that’s your choice but don’t try to scare others that it might help. I’ve been on it 18 years taking it every single day with no problems and have fathered 2 kids and have another on the way all while taking finasteride daily.
  13. The last 20 years have had to be an emotional roller coaster for you. I have a ton of respect for what you do with all of your documentation and photos. It really helps guys on the forum. I agree that you looked great and have came a long way even before your last FUE. I wish you the best of luck!
  14. Excellent work Dr. Cooley...very natural result with a scar that’s not noticeable at all
  15. From your explanation of the size of the hairs, I would bet my paycheck they are transplanted hairs that just never fell out and are now being pushed out from the new growth that is starting. I’m guessing good things are in the very near future for you.
  16. You look like a good candidate to me. You won’t find anyone better than Dr. Konior. If it bothers you, do something about it.
  17. If it were me I would get on Fin and do nothing. Your hair looks great to me and is very age appropriate.
  18. I’ve been taking 1 pill a day for the past 18 years. I have 2 kids and another on the way. My wife had no problems and I took it the entire time.
  19. I would look into SMP with Ahead Ink. I’ve seen some impressive results. Check their results out that are posted on this forum.
  20. Everything looks to be right on track. I agree that once things come in thicker in the front, you will look great with the hair a little longer in the back. I know when my hair was thin up front and didn’t have much density, my hair looked way better shorter all over. Although my scar improved after my second procedure and I can now cut the back a little shorter than before, now that I have more density up front, I can leave my hair a little longer on the back and sides and it looks fine. Honesty, the difference in hair length between the scar being visible and not visible is only about 1/2” difference. You will be fine and this won’t be a big issue for you in another 2-3 months.
  21. I would go have a doctor look at it. This is not normal for 5 months afterward and nothing should be tender or inflamed.
  22. Drive up to Charlotte and see what Dr. Cooley says. He is top of the line.
  23. I have seen some good results from both doctors. I have never seen a bad result or heard any complaints from anyone about Dr. Konior. I went to Dr. Konior and I am very glad I did.
