  1. I'm going to be honest with you and give you my opinion. You can take it or leave it. If you are concerned about hairloss, get on Finasteride and stay on it. I would not lower your current hairline at all and I would not get surgery until you are older if you need it then. Right now, you do not. Your hairline looks great in its current location now and it also will when you are 40. If you lower it to what you have drawn in your picture, it will look bad and very unnatural at 40 and beyond and you will be fighting a battle you wish you never started. Please think about the long term and not just about your 20s.
  2. I agree that your donor area looks fantastic, especially for almost 4000 grafts. Your doctor really did a nice job.
  3. A lot depends on what you want. If you want to move somewhere else and aren't happy in your current situation, do it. If you like where you are at and don't want to leave family/friends then stay. I see nothing wrong with living with your parents for a little while longer and wearing a hat for a while until things start to grow in and you feel more comfortable. Telling everyone that you got a hair transplant is not easy, especially in the early stages when things don't look good. It is really nobody else's business that you had a transplant and you aren't obligated to tell anyone anything until your are comfortable and ready. It would be much easier to break the news of having had a transplant once things start to grow and look better in my opinion. Not many people have that option. Consider yourself lucky to have some down time.
  4. I would probably do either #2 or #3. I agree #1 would be tough but if you have enough guts to do it, it would be the easiest route. You are already 2.5 months in so the growth isn't too far away most likely. I know it sucks having to wear a hat everywhere but it also sucks wearing a system everywhere and worrying about if people know it's not real. Look at the bright side, in a few months, you will have your own hair that is real. In the mean time while you wait for it to grow, I would try and work out a lot and do a lot or cardio to improve yourself physically and take your mind off of things. Working out and running have always helped me in this way. Good luck and remember there are better days ahead!
  5. These pre op and post op pictures are very clear and use the exact same lighting. Some clinics appear to use different lighting in their post op pictures so the hair looks more dense. That is not the case with this doctor. Great result!
  6. I would answer yes to all of your questions and I don't think your scenario in question #5 is typical with top clinics. Honestly at your age, my advice would be to get on Fin for at least a year or 2 and see how you tolerate and respond to it before you do anything else. If you are willing and able to stay on Fin daily for the rest of your life than I think it's possible to have something done but I would make sure you go to a top doctor. They will make sure that your hairline is appropriate and not placed too low. If you aren't going to take meds I would strongly suggest not getting anything done at your age. If you are already losing hair at 21, chances are you are going to lose a lot more if you aren't on meds. I think with not taking Fin, you are setting yourself up for a potential disaster down the road. Good luck with everything.
  7. Everything looks good. Once the scabs come off and the hair grows for a couple more weeks, you won't be able to tell you had anything done in the front. How is your donor scar looking after one month? I was really impressed with it at 10 days afterward.
  8. Why do people grow their hair out before coming in for a transplant when they are going to shave the recipient area for the transplant? Then, 10-15 days later when the staples come out they buzz down everything so it's all the same length and the scar is then exposed anyhow. Why not just buzz everything down before getting the transplant. Wouldn't that be easier to take care of the donor area the first few days?
  9. Wow... this is a very impressive result. This guy has to be thrilled with his outcome. Seeing results this thick and natural are truly amazing. Great work
  10. Everything looks awesome for the 10 day mark. I can't believe how thin and clean the scar looks at this point. I'm guessing in just a few weeks it will be a non issue. Your redness also seems very minimal already. This will be a fantastic result.
