  1. He definitely wears a hair piece that is done quite well. Its too perfect that it throws off the naturalness at his age
  2. I wouldn’t touch it at this point. The hairline you drew is feminine. Temporal angles should not go forward like that for males. esp past age 20. They should be “ L “ or “ /_ “ shape. Some folks have them in the “ ) “ Shape too. youd probably want to try meds that suit you first before you go this route. You do not want to chase repairs as this is extremely risky surgery. Best of luck
  3. Since there are no guarantees by some docs for this particular elective procedure your not really saving any money. You go to expensive surgeon and shit hits the fan, tough luck your out tons of money and a piss poor result. You go to a cheaper surgeon and shit hits the fan, your not out of too much money but you still have a piss poor result. But from experience, it doesnt matter if you go to a known doc as it is mostly marketing. You can still end up screwed. What you need to do is Study the ethics of the doc, the surgical protocol, the method, the graft yields, the real patients vs clinic posted ones, the patients you can see in person. Very few are true and follow ethics, very few reach out and help their own unhappy patients, some do it for the money, very few do it due to passion and genuinely helping people. Hell, some docs keep changing patient reps on you as point of contacts with you when you question the result and damages. These are all strategies. You need to be aware of them and in the end, a lot of business relationships end up being los big time, including between doctors and other doctors. I actually know of cases like that. Patients and doctors and so forth. In the end, expensive or not, its about protocol and not about turkey or europe or usa or canada. It is all about ethics and surgical protocol by that doctor you choose. Some folks wish they can turn back time. best of luck
  4. Very true, but the visual appearance of density should look natural and carry as if you now have hair in the area. It shouldn't be damaged scalp or see through to the point that after paying for a Restoration it still looks like you need a restoration again in the same area that was worked on before.
  5. Keser does some great temples. There are more but thats a good start.
  6. Very feW surgeons can artistically use less grafts and achieve higher graft yields. Depends on your hair type and texture and surgical protocols used by a surgeon. Generally, less is more and the less your grafts are outside your body for given amount of time, the greater the chance of graft survival. Be careful though, i thought i was a norwood 3 and now stuck in worse state since this journey started. Wreckless and unethical actions resulted in damaged scalp. All proven by other professionals. You do not want to be in that situation. Ive lost trust in some surgeons and realized how folks can be and how they’ve negatively impacted others. Just be careful. If you are local I can show you what to expect with my particular hair type and from what. You should definitely consider getting at least 10 consults from surgeons and weighing what majority tell you. Do not rely on false marketing tactics that show a highly dense result in like a Norwood 4 or so, which is indicated by a doctor as their typical patient or so.
  7. Hasson & Wong seem to be the kings in Canada. Probably the best options for Canadians. That is what you call a hairline that met its goals and expectations.
  8. Toubey, i know what you mean. When it looks artificial, it is hard to conceal. I am trying to figure a best route for this as well. My situation whether long or short hair looks fake and draws eyes. Hang in there. some folks take the thick irregular grafts out and yes it can lead to scarring. Some even do electrolysis to kill the hairs so you dont have extraction scars. It’s a tough call, but there is hope. Hang in there. Get some consults just to look at your options very sorry you have to go through this buddy. I definitely know how this feels. Wish you the best
  9. Whilst no surgery may be the best option, No body hair, nape hair, beard hair should be utilized here. FUT should be maximized and considered before FUE can be tapped. Transplantedphil made some great points about it. Dmtek if you need to see limitations and ever swing by east coast to see just how shit looks like on the scalp, feel free to contact me and i can show you in person and being someone from similar background and hair type. You’ll probably see how it really is versus any hooked up or paid rep or etc that may try to show you. You really have to approach this carefully as it deals with your face. key thing here is your hair type, texture, etc .
  10. This is true. Even though it’s elective surgery, patients should have options when something goes wrong.
  11. If you need an ethical doctor, ask each of those doctors questions like have you done touch ups To COMPLETELY rectify a situation Where there were (if any) issues for free? are you about patient satisfaction and ethics? since this is an elective procedure, what do you provide as a gaurantee for patient satisfaction and safety? it’s wise not to reveal your total budgets online, by now youve probably gotten messages asking you how folks are ready to help you . I havent gone to any of the docs you mentioned nor any marketer. However, i know a lot of folks that have went to some of those docs. H&W does have a large portfolio and have plenty of results. They are very patient centric and make sure their patients are happy. Ive actually spoken to Dr Wong before and he really cares for the patient and probably has really high ethics. Dr Nadimi has out out some good work as well it seems. You even have other doctors that also put out great work that they have a waiting list if 5 years. So forth so forth. Yaar research it and see who will cater to your goals safely, for your hair type, and what they offer as gaurantee (if they do) to make sure you are satisifed in the end. At the end, this is face changing surgery and you should be covered from all ends. Be careful with smp as well, there is a patient here that is trying to get it removed. Look at a couple of those threads for limitations as well.
  12. Toubey, sorry to see this. The work looks below par. If you shave your head do the pits still show? Have you reached out to other surgeons to see what options are available as avenues of repair? Was this doc from North America?
  13. Some shedding does occur And did. Usually, this is why some folks freak out first 1-3 months of use. They think rogaine made them lose hair so they give up. Little do folks know it takes a full year for hair cycles yo adjust to rogaine and show you it’s max potential if it is working for you. Once you start, you need to commit for year unless you are allergic to it.
  14. Woa, just read that article. cbs4 did the investigation and Even though this is elective a lawsuit was done. Large scar was a complaint in that investigation.
  15. Interesting, i know there was a product called lipogain that had azeleic and minox in it. I wonder how it differs from this
  16. Non surgical will be the best route you can ever take. You have a lot if native hair. I have similar hair type as you and transplant done wrong made it worse. I am now fighting to find ethical repair surgeons and a way out of this nightmare. My life has been made to a living hell. definitely give minoxidil, finasteride, nizoral a shot. Also, get bloodwork to check vitamin d and nutritional deficiencies. Give it a year to work. Avoid any surgery to your scalp at this point. wish you the best!
  17. Honestly, for some folks like me, Scalp looks so unnatural now that folks stare at my scalp and say hey are you wearing a wig or going bald or did you have a transplant? Im asked that so many times and it really hurts. Glad the docs that took part can eat meals and enjoy restaurants and go out and enjoy the lives while im just suffering. Can continue to make money and have other folks go through this and not have any remorse or anything about it. No one loses sleep except the sufferer who is on forums trying to figure out what is the best thing to get out of this god damn situation and how to get out of this damage appropriately so you can move on with life and Focus on family. After so many years it keeps getting so toxic and starts building up. I know there are probably some ethical docs out there, need to know if they will help assist and how would they proceed. Graft counts and etc for a person that is trying to get repaired. lots of folks Now are asking me to consider media reports and stories and it may be a good route to highlight how things are, who supports who, and what happens, with audio recordings and proof. i have been very respectful based on what krap ive endured physically and emotionally, financially, and its hurt my family big time. They all suffered due to damages done. The costs of surgeries to everything is miniscule to the damages, harm, suffering, and pain etc inflicted against a patient. i really am advocating for this industry to be regulated based on my cases like mine and in detail. It may take time but luckily if you know people in right places and folks that sympathize and understand things can get moving. Many years of hell and counting— i am sure ill get some awkward stares to scalp and comments this week as well. Thats what my normal routine is. Its that normal now to be asked so honesty is like the best way to stop repetative questioning for me. Now, i just show and tell and tell folks this is how it is if you get it done and the limitations . I cant even hide my situation at all. My Friends and family noticed it all negatively. Coworkers same way and i even got ridiculed but more for the quality of work and how it looked. Not for the reason that i got a transplant. Some even want to get a hair transplant and it was a learning lesson of what to avoid for them. you were half bald and now have hair, Thats a Real good thing and exactly how it should be. but obviously you may have folks that may sense a change in the new you as they havent seen you, if you dont have older pics online where they can compare, you should be good. Try not to worry, as long as your hair looks good, thats what matters. You will get no awkward stares but the comments that probably say you look good. These days so many people get surgeries for various reasons. Best of luck with the meeting with fam and friends and enjoy. If you get asked did you get something done, you might as well let them know. Itll probably stop the gossip later
  18. Mitts, 3-4 months is not enough to see viable results from rogaine or finasteride. Try it for a whole year without missing any days. I am telling you it may make a big difference and you may get back what youve lost to a degree if all goes well. It will make your hairs stronger if you follow regimen. Also, consider vitamin d3 one a day if you can tolerate it. Believe it or not, vitamin d deficiency is very common in folks with melanin, thus resulting in weaker hairs, shed hairs, and etc. yaar surgery risky hay
  19. Wow, this is a distinct change. Its as if you went in and had a large sized procedure. Thanks for sharing
  20. For a normal noticeable impact in good scenario, youd need terminal hairs around 61-90 microns. This could mean average number of extractions are needed to get a satisfactory result woth those particular micron ranges. The high the micron the less grafts may be used. 30 to like 60 microns are like miniaturized Hair ranges. In this case a varied density is needed and more grafts are needed as a result depending on where you land. The exact count would be based on microns. In your case you are 50? Is that medium to fine hair? Is it curly or straight? That’s another factor. Remember this, Real Lateral Slit recipient site creation will enhance the illusion with your hair as well. So even if you are 59 microns, a proper lateral slit will probably make it seem 30% or more in density based on how it is angled on your scalp. There is greater risk in high de sity for both reasons, the doc can cause too much trauma that some hairs in high density may be wasted and die and you can lose a lot of hair to follicle death if left outside of body for a long time. High density is extremely risky if you have existing native hair in between as well.
  21. This is somewhat promising and I hope this works out. Definitely distinct change for 3 months!
