  1. thanks for the info. would you mind sharing the US practitioners that you’re referring to?
  2. do you happen to know where Gatsby had his work done? thanks in advance.
  3. thanks for your input, Gatsby. do you happen to know any talented SMP artists in the US?
  4. thanks, Doron. are you able to provide links to the repair cases that you’re referring to?
  5. if I have hair transplanted into the scar, I can still get SMP at a later date, right? in other words, is it still possible to have SMP performed on a scar that has undergone an FUE transplant?
  6. thank you to everyone who has contributed to this discussion. you have all helped put my mind at ease. I began this thread believing that I was going to have a scar revision performed. now, I’m leaning towards an FUE and SMP combination. does anyone know the order in which I should have an FUE and SMP performed? for example, should I have an SMP performed before undergoing an FUE on the scar? or vice versa? and on that note, does anyone know of any good SMP clinics? thanks again, guys.
  7. is a scalp laxity index something that I have to request? or is that something that a surgeon will automatically perform when assessing whether or not the prospective patient is a good candidate for an FUT?
  8. I cannot ascertain exactly when the scar stretched, as I was growing my hair long, and I only noticed the scar when I cut my hair. in hindsight, I probably would have gotten an FUE procedure. however, with that said, FUT can still be a viable option for some patients. but, unfortunately, for me, I suppose my scalp is too elastic for such a procedure. I do wish you all the best.
  9. thank you for your input, doctor. would an in-person evaluation allow a surgeon to determine whether or not my scalp is exceedingly lax? or, alternatively, is it impossible to diagnose a lax scalp based on visual inspection? thanks again.
  10. thanks for weighing in. I’ll definitely look into Dr. Mwamba
