Regular Member Shmiggy Posted November 15, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted November 15, 2019 Lol! Dr Shapiro said the warnings are way overblown, but just be aware of your body’s reaction. If you notice heart palpitations or lightheadedness stop taking the med. Oral minox is a blood pressure medication given at a dose between 10-40 mgs. You only need 2.5 mg for hair loss and you start by cutting the pill in half. These guys have been some of the best in the world for a long time. I trust their information. Like I said, he takes it himself and says the efficacy is much better than topical. He indicated increased body hair is the most prevalent side effect. Hey, just more to harvest for a transplant
Senior Member hairlossPA Posted November 16, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted November 16, 2019 @Russ @Shifty you may remember I had great regrowth on finasteride alone, then started to have a significant shed. as soon as I got on oral minoxidil, i noticed the shedding stopped and I started to rebound from my shed and have noticed noticeable, and substantial improvement/gains. Now, I’m not sure if it’s just coincidental of my finasteride shed ending, or if the minoxidil was kicking in.

I think I'm interested in the MINPill because putting foam on twice a day is really annoying. Is the MINPILL something I have to get prescribed by a doctor? Senior Member Greg_Swanson Posted November 17, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted November 17, 2019 In response to your dandruff question mate, I take oral Min. I started on 1mg, then went to 1.5, and now I'm on a compound medication which contains 2.5mg on minox. Never had any sides or anything of the like. Though, I'm unsure which is thought to be more effective (oral or topical)
Regular Member Shmiggy Posted November 17, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted November 17, 2019 @Shifty it would be interesting to know what’s more effective considering you’re dermarolling is done to help with the topical absorption. I wonder if oral is essentially helping with absorption as well.

Regular Member Shmiggy Posted November 25, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted November 25, 2019 Looks good man. I’ve tried Dermmatch on much thinner hair and it doesn’t take as well. Looks more like mascara on the scalp. I’m thinking hair fibers would look better but not hold up.

This was what I was thinking was going to happen. I still have to play with it because it kind of makes the hair look wavy. It doesnt come off though which is great, fibers fly off from a stiff wind. 1 Link to what I did to grow my hair back without a transplant. 2 year update. This is the study that most people try to copy. Do you have a link to that Indian study? EDIT: Looks like it's one of the below? The basic premise for both is that a dermaroller with 1.5mm needles were used horizontally, vertically and both diagonals until mild erythema (reddening) was noted. This was done weekly (or mostly fortnightly for one of the two studies). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4458936/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3746236/ Edited December 11, 2019 by hair4tomo
