  1. I’ve heard as a general rule of thumb (and of course it varies) is that you can expect 80% hair growth at 8 months so you may have 20% yet to pop through... Have you asked your doctor?
  2. For sure...I have seen many posts where people think they have their final results only to be pleasantly surprised as time moves on. At 8 months, I am hopeful you will get even better results. If not, you have plenty of options.
  3. This looks great to me as I see no scalp. As you know, HTs don't restore natural density so some degree of styling might always be necessary. Like you said, SMP might be a good option and if it really continues to bother you, you could always do another HT down the road. Also, you definitely might continue to see improvements as you are only 8 months. Crown they say takes longer, closer to 18 months so you will likely continue to experience thickening and maturing! Looking forward to learning the name of the doctor who did a great job on your hair!
  4. Good question, @Melvin-Moderator- So I have seen the number swing greatly especially with regards to FUE harvestability. As for FUE, I have heard one prominent HT doc (Epstein) say in a webinar that on most people FUE harvest ranges from 4,500-6,500; he thought more with combining FUT. Dr. Sethi said in a Q&A that average is between ~6-8k (I think he was referring to scalp donor, but I could be wrong). One forum member went for a consult with Pekiner who said he had ~3,500 FUE grafts available, but went with Ferrara who said his capacity is between 9-10k grafts. I think this number swing wildly depending on the transplant surgeon and how they measure the 'safe' zone. Might have to do on whether they are assuming people become a NW6 or NW7. On Shapiro's website, it says the average person has ~6,000 grafts in donor area. ...and then there is beard hair. Dr. Bansal estimates most men have between 3-4k available; I would guess it could be more if one does not sustain discernable scarring and is willing to forgo ever having a beard. According to her, supplementing with beard hair is super successful ~60% of the time and 10-20% it does not grow well. One test how fast the beard grows. In other words, if you shave and don't need to shave again for 3-4 days, your beard hair might not grow well on the scalp. So if you have a suitable beard, I am guessing the average male has between 8-10k lifetime harvestable grafts.
  5. @Wandererindif you showed this photo and said it was the final 1 year result, I would say it was a success!
  6. In my opinion, I also think some of crown results has to do with contrast. When I have seen crown results on a slightly older grade 6 or 7 who had their entire head treated, the crown sometimes looks fuller because there is less contrast in density with other areas on scalp. See example below. In the bottom right photo, you can see that while crown is still a little diffuse, it is age appropriate and does not have a drastic density contrast with other hairs. This OP was a 53 year old treated by Eugenix in 2 sittings. ~8k grafts total, 3k grafts in crown (2k scalp, 1k beard)
  7. Survivability rates with FUT used to be better than FUE, but this is not necessarily the case any longer. Ron Shapiro did a study on graft survivability between the two techniques and actually found that FUE survival was slightly better. We must remember that it was a small study and more are needed to confirm. Melvin posted a video and another thread of Shapiro talking about the study (see below). I think new extraction tools have even allowed more protective tissue to be extracted with FUE thereby protecting grafts.
  8. WOW! @Wandererind. Growth looks phenomenal! You are going to have some excellent months ahead of you. Thank you for continuing to update us as a many of us are strongly considering Eugenix. Looking forward to seeing future progress.
  9. @juanjs84Once again, you are looking fantastic! It is only uphill from here! I have a question about placement of the beard grafts. It was my impression that beard grafts are implanted strategically by mixing with scalp grafts in the midscalp and parts of the crown rather than implanting them in isolation. In your write up, you mentioned that the scalp grafts were implanted on days 1 and 2 and the beard grafts were extracted and implanted on the final day of the procedure. How did they mix the beard and scalp grafts together? Did they implant the scalp grafts in the midscalp on days 1 and 2 and intentionally leave some of the slits created in between the scalp grafts in the midscalp empty and add beard grafts to them on day 3? Thanks!
  10. Get well! The practice you are getting waiting now will only serve to help you when you have surgery and have to wait for the outcome
  11. The video is good @Abhinay Singh. In order to instill further confidence in prospective HT clients, it would be great to create a video with other Eugenix doctors in which perhaps Dr. Sethi and Bansal introduce them and talk about their training and competence. To further instill confidence, I think prospective consumers would love to see a video with senior technicians who do a majority of the extractions in most packages in which they show and possibly talk about their number of years of experience, overall competence and ability to achieve minimal transection rates.
  12. WOW! You are looking great for 4 months!!! Sooooooooooooooo much growing still left to happen, Juan! Can't wait to see you transform as the months progress. Keep us posted!
  13. Hi @rubberduck- By my calculation, you should be ~7 months post HT. Any updates?
  14. It is WAY early...you are just at the beginning. Stay positive and patient!
