  1. Good decision - grown out donor is so much better for surgeons to get a better idea of what they have to work with.
  2. Very nice result. Extraction pattern higher up than what we usually see from Dr Bisanga, what were the factors that determined this?
  3. Your posts really are quite unnecessarily dramatic - this thread is just going round in circles, and you keep asking the same unanswerable questions each time a new user adds their piece and entertains you. No one can tell you how much hair loss you are going to have over the course of your life time, because a) we don’t know when you’re going to die, and b) there is no possible way as of 2021 to determine 100% what hair is safe and what isn’t. The input on here has been sufficient enough for you to go away and make up your own mind about what it is you want to do. Going to see the dermatologist is likely going to be a waste of time and money, because your hair loss is due to MPB, as it is for pretty much every other guy in the world who is losing hair. Go and consult with a reputable surgeon, find out what your donor potentials are, and what signs of miniaturisation you currently have showing throughout your scalp.
  4. Going off your pics, your donor is going to allow you to be as greedy as you like for many years to come 😉 I’m going to reach out to your SMP artist this week, one of my only doubts is what it would like shaven down, if I go for long haired density look just now - because I will be getting a HT next year at some point and will be requiring to shave down.
  5. If I’m honest, this is what caused the most scepticism - it just looked like a very typical ‘Hollywood’ style marketing Marvel. The results on their Instagram are fantastic , I’d love for them to be without concealer or lighting effects. Yea I have came across @EvoXOhio ‘s thread . . He has done really well from it. Are these guys in Chicago considered up there amongst the best in the world ? My HT knowledge is great, but literally just delving into the depths of the SMP world , so don’t know where to begin!
  6. Good advice. Your donor looks pretty good, so if money isn’t of too much concern, you can carefully select a really great clinic after researching more. How’s your beard by the way? That tends to be the game changer these days for higher NW’s who choose not to use medication, as a good beard can provide an extra 2000-5000 grafts, which help a lot for coverage. I think as a rough estimate, dr’s such as Sethi @Eugenix Hair Science or Zarev in Bulgaria could probably get 10,000 grafts out of your donor, whereas other clinics couldn’t/wouldn’t - so if you add another 2,000 BHT on top of 10,000 scalp grafts (over multiple surgeries) . . You will be looking great.
  7. I hope Melvin gets the insta live in soon, and speaks in depth about these topicals. I want to believe the hype , but I’m sceptical on just how systemic they do actually go. I read a dutasteride mesotherapy study the other day , and they claimed serum DHT levels remained the same after 3 treatments over the course of 6 months I think it was, and recored marked improvement was observed in all patients ?! Just sounds too good to be true at times.
  8. Does anyone have any experience with these guys? The results on their social media look the best I’ve came across , however would much prefer to hear from real patients. Anyway - I’m looking into long haired SMP for density at the moment, would be keen to hear from people and doctors on here who have had it done; Where to go? How many sessions required? Does it implicate on future transplants on the same area, from the ink, or potential scarring ? Appreciate all input, Thanks
  9. 1) As has already been mentioned, the further the miniaturisation, the higher the risk - however surgeon skill level, and technique is also an important variable to consider. 2) There is no stipulation to take, or not to take finasteride before, during, or after a hair transplant. 3) It's probably at the absolute lower limit in my opinion - your donor does look great though.
  10. Well this was my point exactly - I find it very hard to believe Dr Zarev is just fortunate enough to encounter these types of patients. I don't understand why other recommended surgeons don't have examples of this type of restoration, unless; a) they aren't able to execute the same level of restoration b) a higher volume of lower level restorative surgeries is more financially beneficial - so they choose to prioritise business first (which I'm not suggesting is wrong to do so, just don't publicly criticise other surgeons who are performing this type of surgery as not being a viable or safe method, because your clinic chooses to put profits first).
  11. That’s unusual for Pekiner , he normally only does smaller surgeries. Anyway - from what I’m presuming you to be, from the photos you have provided, you are a diffuse thinner in a NW5 pattern of loss, with some fully recessed temples. Adding density to this whole area could risk shock loss of your native hair, and result in no net gain once your grafts have grown in, due to the possibility of losing the hair you already have on your head. If you really are insistent on a HT at the moment, I would address it in a 3 stage approach, of 600-1000 grafts at a time , targeting different zones each session, over a course of at least 18-24 months. This will mitigate the risk of shock loss, and also give you and your surgeon more of an idea of how to address things going forward into the new session. I would also look at surgeons who specialise in working with diffuse thinners, and use methods such as stick and place, as this tends to be optimum for these types of surgeries.
  12. I hope there’ll be a treatment for regaining pigment in your hair one day!
  13. Pretty awful quality photos I’m afraid. Were they the ones you submitted to the clinics? And what did Pekiner propose to do with 300 grafts.?
  14. I’m guessing the extraction pattern he adopts. And yes, hair characteristics will obviously largely determine just how viable this will be. Regardless - I maintain some dr’s have better donor management skills and extraction patterns than others, because we have numerous patients on here who are walking examples of this. Until Dr Zarev is ‘recommended’ on here, if he ever is, the general consensus on his work will remain sceptical and cynical.
  15. That patients post op recipient from the Dr Zarev video is immaculate . . I saw it watching that very video a while back and was extremely impressed. Dr Konior is another another who has extremely clean looking patients post op. It pays to be meticulous.
  16. You might consider SMP? There have been a few SMP for density results that have been promising of recent.
  17. You can’t flat out say that, because it’s just simply not the case. It all depends on the individual and what characteristics they present.
  18. Good for you man, will look forward to the final results coming in - I’m guessing you went back to Feriduni? What sides did you experience on minoxidil if you don’t mind me asking ?
  19. Hey Gas, you kept that one quiet - what did your latest surgery address?
  20. Too many variables to give any sort of answer to this, You have to consider; - HGI - Hair calibre - Size of head/balding area - Contrast between skin colour : hair colour etc.
