Dr. Konior 1600ish graft Session 10/07/20 28yr old
Curious25 replied to MagnificentAl's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
No - a lot of good surgeons do this, in order to preserve as much of the donor region as possible to remain 'virgin'. Patients have to present themselves to be acceptable candidates for this strategy - usually when they have good density in their donor areas, higher end hair characteristics such as texture and coarseness, and are having 2000 or below grafts extracted.- 218 replies

I've not read through the whole thread, but came across this post - and the comparison between these two pics, looks night and day . . great hair calibre at play here on the patients behalf, which has helped a modest number of grafts in this case, go a long way! One critique I would highlight - is that the hairline could be softened. Nothing a few hundred singles wouldn't sort out in a skilled surgeons hands.

1) Considering what you have told us with regards to your father and brother, you are doing very well. Either minoxidil is doing wonders for you, or you aren't genetically as predisposed to MPB as your father and brother - I would probably steer more towards this answer, as opposed to crediting it all on minoxidil, as you haven't been addressing the route course. 2) I would follow the outline of your hairline that you still have, and assuming you have characteristics similar to other asian patients, I would roughly guess that between 2000-3000 would sit you well, depending how far into your native hair the surgeon chooses to go. 3) Very hard to tell from your pictures - you really need a microscopic examination for the answer to this, however, visually it looks ok. It'll be interesting to see how you get on with some in person consultations, if you are able to get them booked in!

Why I'm Not Taking Finasteride *My Current Hair Loss Regimen
Curious25 replied to Melvin- Admin's topic in Hair Loss Drugs
I enjoy reading your posts on the forum, you always put in a considerable amount of thought into what you write, and I think you comprehend the topic of hair loss better than a lot of ‘professionals’ in the industry. -
Why I'm Not Taking Finasteride *My Current Hair Loss Regimen

Totally agree. However I equally understand, that for some, hair > sexual health. -

What happens in 15 years?
Curious25 replied to Faxanadu's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Your hair looks good to me for a 40 year old. If you are able to tolerate and stick sign your oral min and finasteride, then you should be pretty well set up 👍🏻 -
Looks great, and your donor looks incredible after 8k grafts. What was Farjo’s reasoning for turning you away, what were his comments about your donor? It just goes to show how important second and third opinions are in this industry, because for your donor to look like that after 8k grafts, one would expected you to have been like one of the hedgehog patients we see from the likes of Zarev and Lorenzo!

Curious25 replied to James's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Is that your current hairline now ? Or before surgery? Or before onset of hair loss? -

It’s large in size, but population wise they are less than half than us in the UK. -

If you’ve never left your country before, and it’s somewhat of a daunting prospect for you . . from a psychological standpoint I’d probably advise you to stick to hasson and wong in Canada over Eugenix, as India, as fantastic and beautiful a country it is, can be quite the culture shock for even the most seasoned of western travellers. Your hair situation will be an easy fix in the right surgeons hands, and if there are multi’s in your immediate hairline, they can be punched out and re-implanted further behind, if the Dr is unable to soften your hairline just by placing singles around them. You shouldn’t have been taken on for surgery in the first place IMO, too young and too minor a hair loss. -
A combo of maxing out his donor to its full potential, utilising beard grafts, and some SMP - he could potentially get quite a nice result giving an illusion of full enough coverage, and he could keep a shortly cropped hair cut. Scalp/Hair contrast is good, beard looks pretty good, and hair calibre looks ok as well - just there unfortunately isn't a whole lot of it. Eugenix.

I don’t know what to do now
Curious25 replied to Sightnitseen's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
You could quite easily bolster your frontal third area where you have experienced further loss - how many life time grafts did Diep say you had back in 2014? SMP would also be a great option for you, I feel. -
Am I too bald for a hair transplant?
Curious25 replied to Baldazz's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Consult only with afro hair specialists for your own sake please - you are a complex case. I'd be tempted to recommend the SMP route for you, however - SMP combined with FUE may be an option in the right surgeons hands. Bisanga and Mwamba. -
NW5a/NW6 and problems with Fin?
Curious25 replied to affensalto's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
-You look to be a diffuse NW6 with relatively high sides -If you accept the reduction in density, there is no reason why a surgeon couldn't restore you with a NW 1 hairline, and homogeneously place your grafts around the recipient zones in as an aesthetically pleasing way as possible -No one will know until you try it out for yourself -From your pictures - you present a classic NW6 pattern of loss at current. How old are you ?
