  1. Keep saving until you can afford the Dr you want to visit (within a budget that is of reason to your circumstances) - whether that be an extra few months of putting money aside, or even a year. You’ve lost a bit for 31, but the rest of your hair doesn’t look like it’s been affected by MPB at all going off your pics - however that is not to say that it will stay like that, most likely it won’t. However your hair calibre is strong, and your beard is dense - so you’re not in a bad place at all. Your pattern of loss and hair thickness reminds me somewhat of @lukeyb1687 - although I’m not suggesting you visit the surgeon he went to, just more of an observation of what could be achieved. For your case, I’d be favouring one of the decent European FUE surgeons, potentially in spain of Portugal, as your hair type appears similar to those of Mediterranean descent, in which they obviously have a lot more experience on working with - Dr BF, Dr De Freitas, Dr Lorenzo, Dr Pinto - I’ve seen a few good cases and heard good things, however know less of him than the others Dr Bisanga, Dr Feriduni, Dr Mwamba,
  2. Donor looks amazing. Have you contacted the Dr’s RE. the lingering scab?
  3. I think it depends on what Eugenix see in front of them on the day of surgery, in terms of what they have to work with. I think 500 scalp grafts directly behind your hairline will reinforce that area really well, and open up new options for hairstyling. Your beard is going to supply you ample grafts IMO , but there also needs to be some scalp hair used in the crown remember - IDK for example, an ideal breakdown could look like this; 2000 grafts BHT - crown and some mid scalp boosting 2000 grafts Scalp 1000 - used to create crown whirl and centre crown area 500 - used to bolster your hairline/frontal third 250 - left temple point 250 - right temple point. I think that would be pretty cool. But over a 2 day session, or course !
  4. It’s certainly an improvement. And your donor to me, still looks like there is 2000+ scalp grafts available - which strategically placed throughout your recipient would make a huge difference IMO. I’ve seen nice density increasing on patients in similar positions to yourself from Dr De Freitas. and Lorenzo - however if you are concerned about doctors being conservative with your donor, Eugenix always seem to be able to fully stretch out patients donors to their full potential, without leaving them looking thin. What happened to you taking finasteride by the way, i thought you came back from this surgery with Pekiner really adamant you had to take it?
  5. I’m sure you’ll look fine - we always look worse from our own eyes. A guy I work with has had 2x FUE’s, and prefers to keep his hair at a short buzz cut , maybe grade 2 . . and it actually looks really good, even though a HT geek like me can make out his NW5 balding pattern, to the rest of the world, he just looks like he has a buzz cut. His salt and pepper hair, and tanned skin complexion definitely helps with the illusion. December/January . . Not long at all my man, we are all rooting for you, and I’m sure it will become one of the most comprehensive threads online!
  6. So you are attributing finasteride to escalating the deterioration of your hair?
  7. Nice honest video. I’m glad you’re going to shave down for the procedure, 1) Because Im really interested to see what your hair looks like shaved down, and 2) Because despite the no shave FUE capabilities - I still believe it is a lot easier for surgeons to carry out the surgery on shaven patients, another small factor you as a patient can control towards maximising the chances of a good outcome ! Do you have a date booked? Really looking forward to following the journey,
  8. Yea I’m not sure on this either - I didn’t think it was designed to be a life long medication for prostate related issues, I’m sure I watched a Dr say in one of those French propecia documentaries that when used for prostate health, it was only ever prescribed temporarily ?
  9. And is that the standard length of course for prostate related issues ?
  10. The standard dosage for combatting hairloss is 1mg per day, so with 5x the strength of that . . Unless you are an unlucky ‘non responder’ to the medication., you should see an improvement, either through; regrowth, general thickening of native hair, less hair fall. I would recommend getting a hormonal blood report before commencing the drug, as you will have some form of comparison to baseline. Out of interest - how long has your dr prescribed you the flnasteride for ?
  11. This will be legendary - dream patient for Keser. Work looks great, Happy Growing
  12. To implant a hair follicle, there has to be an opening of some kind. I think his 'USP' as such, is a vacuum assisted punch he uses for extractions - @HugoX has had surgery with him, so he will be in a better place to help advise.
  13. Really great transformation - love to see it! You have excellent hair characteristics for hair restoration surgery - please keep us all posted with how your crown procedure goes.
  14. Read back your post mate - you recommended cialis, topical fin and dut, CB whatever it’s called (a research drug) and fluridil.
  15. I know you’re meaning well man, but you really should just be advising this guy to go see a specialist doctor. I know there’s an argument to say the onus is on him if he chooses to listen to medical advice from a random dude posting on a hair loss forum, but vulnerable and/or desperate people are particularly susceptible to overlooking sense and logic, and acting on impulse - as a responsible community we should ensure that recommending users to book in appointments with doctors in the respective fields of medicine, is ALWAYS the way to go.
  16. Haha are you serious ? Wonder how the hell they afford that
  17. You are right, there is zero chance a cardiologist would recommend it - I consulted with one earlier this year, and he was beyond disbelief that dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons were willingly prescribing it off label for hair loss - regardless of the lower dosage. His outlook was that it contradicted every fundamental value of medicine . . Potentially jeopardising your body’s most vital organ for survival, in vain of supporting what are essentially useless organs. It hit hard
  18. FUE has came on leaps and bounds, and certain clinics and surgeons are nailing down extraction patterns so well now, that the historic belief of the average donor providing only 5000-6000 scalp grafts vía FUE will soon become a dated concept, such as that of graft survival being far more superior with FUT over FUE, during the initial origins of FUE surgery - which we know now, in 2021 simply not to be the case. I also think your personal arguments to opt for FUE over FUT are very relevant. And you are also debating it with a 3x FUE patient who had substantially more hair loss than you at what I presume to be a younger age, going off one of your replies - which I find quite amusing lol. PS - no one can give you too accurate an opinion on grafts needed unless they had details such as the average thickness of your individual hair shaft, knowing your hair characteristics (wavy or straight), and having to hand your HGI (groupings) - someone who averages closes to 3 hairs per FU will need a lot less grafts than someone who averages closer to 2 hairs per FU.
  19. I’m glad you were able to find a solution within Dr Couto - since there is such demand for patient posted results of his on here, would it be possible if you could make a separate thread documenting your journey with him? Or even ask if @Melvin- Moderator could change the title of this thread to include his name also?
