  1. I'm not sure what the negativity is aimed at, this looks fantastic for 4 months, and will only get better!
  2. The principal function of the drug is no different to that of anabolic steroids, in the sense that they disturb and manipulate your bodies natural hormone process chain. I’m yet to see or hear of any doctors who recommend lifelong use of AS’s . . maybe because there’s no pharmaceutical companies able to benefit millions from it considering they are illegal to sell pretty much all over the world. Aside from the legality aspect, I don’t understand why the stigma around finasteride should be so different to that of AS’s. They’re both hormone altering drugs, essentially used for cosmetic purposes.
  3. I’ve seen an equal amount of cases that have claimed they have developed side effects many years into taking the medication, as I have with people who have experienced sides within the first 6 months. From a logical perspective, early onset of sides could be arguably more attributed to the psychological apprehension, particularly relating to sexual sides such as erectile disfunction, which is intrinsically linked to psychological influences. Interestingly, sudden onset of sides after prolonged duration on the medication, are seemingly more severe and take longer to subside, or ever return to baseline, which further backs up this theory.
  4. Sorry to see this OP. I think the positive we can take away is that you are involved with a great surgeon and clinic, so rest assured some diagnosis and solution should hopefully be identified on your next in person follow up. Please keep us all updated, as threads like these are very important to the community, and personally I would love to see you overcome this.
  5. IMO oral minoxidil is the most powerful and effective hair growth/stimulus medication available. Dosage ranges between 1.25mg - 10mg daily. Personally I wouldn’t go near it - it’s a cardiovascular medication. Anyone who chooses to subject themselves to unnecessary cardiac side effects in the vain of hair loss is insane, end of.
  6. Looking fantastic in general, but even more so for 6 months. As the hairs start to thicken, and mature, becoming less wirey, you will see a cosmetically marked improvement In the months to come. Can you tell a visual or textural difference between your beard grafts and scalp grafts? Do you take any medication? At 18 months, if you felt it necessary, 300-500 Front to mid scalp strategically placed grafts would be able to reinforce the density even more so, and accentuating the overall illusion that little bit more dramatically - looking at your donor, I think you’l have the luxury of this option. Keep Up the good work
  7. Looking great, you have really good hair calibre that should provide very nice coverage, and your beard is also very strong! Keep us posted
  8. Hairline looks really strong, amazing for only 4.5 months - this is going to be one of the results of 2020! Love your videos aswell!
  9. I'm guessing its with Farjo, as this site only recommends Reddy and Farjo from the UK, and Reddy always consults himself. Having said that, I'm still surprised at that as I over the years I gathered Farjo was conservative and wouldn't touch a case like you, let alone sign up to giving you a feminine NW0. Contact the decent European clinics, and you will be surprised, I'm pretty sure they'l be able to fit you in, in July - what with all the disruption and cancellations. Belgium - Feriduni, Bisanga, Lupanzula Spain - Lorenzo, De Freitas, Couto, Turkey - Keser (he's historically reknown for cases such as yours, however I haven't heard or seen much from his work on here recently) Book online zoom consultations, agree a date, fly out the day before, have an in person consultation just to make sure everything is ok, 1200-1800 grafts later, you'l be returning home with money left over, and a much better hairline to last you a lifetime.
  10. Can’t help but feel all the advice has fallen on deaf ears, but it’s your head, and your life at the end of the day, and I wish you all the best with whatever path you decide to take.
  11. I think the take away that you need to focus on, is that you need to place more weight onto the severity of this ‘error’ as you put it , as this hairline design is so grossly unnatural, incorrect, and quite frankly bizarre . . It straight away flags the clinics incompetence in something which should be quite a basic step of the whole process itself.
  12. I've actually just had to return to this thread for my own conscience getting the better of me, and I felt I was too 'polite' with my first reply to this thread, but this is actually a truly awful hairline design, and it would bring into question who the dr and clinic are. Please for your own benefit provide the forum with the details of the surgeon and clinic, and as a community we can help steer you in the right direction. I've seen many people with your level of recession going ahead and getting work done, also without meds, so personally I don't feel that is too much of an issue, however as long as its in the right surgeons hands! I'm guessing if you can afford UK surgery, there are plenty better options for you nearby, or even in the UK if you dont want to travel (Dr Reddy, Dr Ball).
  13. Wow it’s night and day compared to from where you first started! Crown looks to still have quite a few hairs that need to thicken and mature which should provide you with a marked cosmetic improvement over the next 6 months, and even then, you’l have enough reserves to stick in a couple hundred extra multis if you wanted! Very impressed with your hairline and frontal 3rd!
  14. He’s recommended on here, and has most notably done a decent job on YouTuber Mike Thurston. He’s pricey, yet conservative with grafts (which isn’t a bad thing). There’s always good hairline work coming out of spain (de Freitas, Lorenzo, Ferria, Couto) and Belgium (Feriduni, Bisanga, Lupanzula) . . Which are close to London.
  15. Interesting hairline design - particularly your proposed left temple, the downcurve resembles more of a female hairline. Was this the surgeons design? Who is the clinic?
  16. Your post ops look great - lovely dense hairline design, dr Hasson is very good. Where was the recipient area for your first HT, as alot of the untouched area this second time round looks like native hair? I agree it would be good to see before pics of both the first and 2nd HT. Also you seem to have quite a lot of dandruff, you may wish to speak to the clinic about this and seek their recommendation as to what you should do! Good luck, to me its looking fantastic for 3 months
  17. After reading through your posts, and gathering a general consensus of your story/requirements - I'd highly recommend enquiring about an FUT with Hattingen in Switzerland. Budget wise they'l still be over your pre-planned budget, however cheaper than every quote you will receive from the UK clinics and BHR's quote. Quality wise they are very good, and I feel you may benefit greater from an FUT in your particular case - and they are the european champs for this. Your hair calibre looks good, and you also seem to have a good beard aswell, which may provide useful down the line for BHT - however I'm not sure how much your crown seems to be dipping, and you have extensive hairloss for your age. If your heart is set on FUE, and your budget is still of concern - then Eugenix seem to be doing pretty well at the moment with high NW mega sessions, there are a few good cases on the forum at the moment from them - look for @Paddytheirishman and @Zoomster Good luck, do your research, and take your time, and please don't rush into anything. You're not a straightforward case, however I believe you will get a great result in the right hands!
  18. I do not agree with you one bit. Quite frankly, I think the nonchalance of many Hair Restoration professionals advising men to jump onto a hormone altering medication to be one of the most reckless occurrences within this industry. Needless to say, my opinion on anonymous forum posters or representatives with no medical background also doing so. Not only is every single one of us a unique entity, with a different biological make up, lifestyle, age, and overall health status, not one single doctor in the world could accurately inform you how this drug would affect you as an individual, even after a detailed and in depth hormone and bloods assessment - let alone after a 5 minute consultation of measuring your donor hair quality in a surgeons office. Quote me any manufacture backed study you like about side effects, it takes 5 mins of scanning forums, blogs, and youtube to realise they are a lot more present than what is officially reported - and what's a more likely scenario, 'fear mongering patients' who have literally nothing to gain by reporting their experiences, or corporate led propaganda, who stand to make millions? If I want to improve my 100m dash, do I go and speak to an NFL coach and ask him to give me some of his wide receivers drills, or do I go and track down the US mens 100m coaching team, and have a sit down and properly analyse where I'm at, and how we can put a programme together to improve on that? Same logic goes for this - With the greatest respect to all hair surgeons across the globe, but put me in a chair with a urologist or endocrinologist and let see what they have to say. Oral minoxidil - lets speak with a cardiologist and see what they have to say. I invite and encourage everyone here to do exactly this. So now, after having a full understanding of this drug from medical professionals within the relevant field - that leaves us with the capability of deciding upon ones personal risk vs. reward analysis. Are we prepared to alter one of our bodies natural hormone conversion processes, to help attempt to prevent further hair loss from ocurring? There is no doubt in my mind, that prevention wise, finasteride and dutasteride are the most effective options we are currently aware of in the world today, and I have respect for every individual who takes the drug, as it is THEIR individual choice. It is THEIR prerogative. What I don't have respect for, are professionals within the field being thoughtless with their quick off the mark recommendations, and leaving millions of men uninformed on a potentially life changing medication. The drugs may serve their purpose - but at whatever expense that maybe, it certainly isn't the correct choice for everybody, and that is the takeaway message from this post.
  19. Hello, I have recently been researching PRP, and the overall consensus that I can find is that it is a generally recommended and positively thought of treatment, either as a stand alone or to have in conjunction with other treatments, to work synergistically. The published studies clearly indicate improvement, albeit varied. The science adds up - especially more so now than ever, whilst there is a big focus within the industry on the regenerative techniques, such as Exosomes etc. on the horizon. The most common protocol over recent years is to have 3x initial loading treatments, separated a month apart, and then follow up treatments perhaps every 6 months thereafter. My questions to experienced forum members please; What is it that distinguishes the difference between 'good prp' and 'bad prp'? Do the new gun methods of administration provide a higher quality service? What is the optimum centrifuge to be used? Does it cause fibrosis - and will this be an implication down the line for a HT? (Feller and Bloxham seemingly take a highly negative stance on PRP, and they state this as one of the reasons - i find this to be confusing as they are clearly industry leaders, however a lot of other industry leaders are advocates of the treatment). Has anyone had personal experiences of regular PRP treatment (good or bad).
