  1. To cast a bit more perspective on your grafts - it’s almost a 1/3 of the grafts @1978matt has recently used to successfully cover a pretty evident bald spot on his crown - so it would be a shame to risk throwing them down the drain with a dermatologist in training . . Given that they don’t grow. @transplantedphil makes very valuable points re extraction complications - one also has to consider potential damage around the puncture wounds to grafts that would otherwise be able to have been further utilised one day in the future if needed.
  2. Thankyou very much - this is what I was looking for. Interesting to note you mentioned that the scarred donor area may impact upon growth, as this was a concern I had previously pondered.
  3. I have to agree with gillenator - for me 15% wouldn’t justify the gamble. However I’m pretty risk averse
  4. I agree with the above. I forgot to mention in my previous post, however it goes without saying that you would need to ensure it was 200 grafts and no more.
  5. Personally I’d hold off from a hair transplant as I don’t think restoring your level of loss will enhance your appearance much at all - your hair looks good, and it is hard for probably 99.9% of the population to even see that you are losing hair. Easier said than done from an outsider, I understand - therefore if you are still insistent on getting surgery, at least you have narrowed it down to two of the best clinics in the world (H&M and Konior) and I am sure they will advise you ethically and well. If you are coping well with finasteride I suggest it’s keeping you in good check hair retention wise, and your donor looks strong which bodes well for the future. And to answer your earlier question - every single person who commits to hair restoration surgery continue to lose hair, regardless of whether they are taking medication or not - it doesn’t halt hair loss, it slows it down at varying levels dependent on the dosage and patient’s androgen sensitivity.
  6. Only you can answer that question, because it is you who is living with ‘you’ each day. For some people those side effects would be severe enough to stop, for others not, It’s all subjective. Some people aren’t affected by hair loss - we all clearly are, albeit at different levels on the scale of concern, in which you seem to be at the higher end judging by your double dosing self prescription. Just be aware of the potential side affects and think long and hard about whether you would be comfortable living with those long term. (They may or may not occur).
  7. Interesting, who’s the clinic? As preached from the heavens on here by many, price should never be a deciding factor - I agree with this to an extent, but my heads also not so far up my own arse to realise that for some people, they actually wouldn’t consider ht surgery if it meant paying the top top rates out there, and luckily today as there are many very talented surgeons who are more affordable than the highest rates in the game, I think it is a fair factor to base your decision upon, albeit you have maintained your due diligence in every other area of research ... largely patient results and having met for face to face consultations. Anyway, I digress . . Depending on the size of the discount and the surgeon in question, I would potentially say it is a low risk/high reward option. If you feel comfortable providing more details, I think it will help the community offer you further advice.
  8. Natural, one of gods chosen ones when it comes to aesthetics.
  9. Thankyou for your response. I appreciate that each patient needs to be evaluated on a case by case basis, and there is no 'one shoe fits all' school of thought, however I think this is relevant for all areas involved within hair restoration. My question was more towards identifying whether Eugenix believe replenishing the scalps donor region with beard grafts, rather than using them as fillers for the recipient zone, is an approved, and good methodology, which would allow for greater use and depletion of native scalp donor for balding recipient sites. In essence, enabling the patient to optimise their scalp donor to its full capacity and beyond. Thanks
  10. Belgium - consistently good surgeons, reasonable pricing, a lot of patient testimonials Dr Bisanga, Dr Feriduni, Dr Lupanzula Spain - Long wait times, and limited patient results on english speaking forums Dr De Freitas, Dr Couto, Dr Lorenzo, Dr Bruno Ferreira UK - very expensive, more conservative hairline design, Dr Reddy, Dr Ball Turkey - Price competitive, a lot of patient testimonials Dr Keser (used to be a hairline specilist - may have gone off the ball now?) , HLC, Dr Pekiner You seem to be a pretty standard case, assuming your crown isn't thinning, and donor is average at worst - so it shouldn't prove to be difficult for any of the above surgeons to give you a great result that you will be happy with ! Good luck
  11. Melvin is correct - unfortunately patient physiology can vary from person to person, and ultimately influence how results turn out. As he equally pointed out however, you are able to use someone else with similar pattern loss, and similar donor hair characteristics to build an accurate guide of what could be possible. The best way to eliminate any other high risk variables is to proceed with a highly regarded surgeon with years of experience, choose a clinic who deal with similar cases to your own on a regular basis, practice a healthy lifestyle (avoid smoking, address any scalp conditions etc), follow post op instructions, and be positive! 😀
  12. Don’t make any decisions before you have had in person consultations, in order for surgeons to accurately assess your current state of play. You may well have more than 3000 grafts, you may not - however it is imperative you don’t make a decision based on feedback and donor assessments from photos sent online. @Zoomster was turned away as a bad candidate from a clinic a few years ago, yet has one of the best NW6 transformations this year after his operating team managed to extract 7000 scalp and beard grafts - just an example of how doing your due diligence can pay off. Surgeons assessments of donor quantities differ from one another based on a whole host of criteria, such as their extraction patterns and types of punches they prefer to use etc, so don’t be deflated if a few clinics regard you as having limited donor, it’s not necessarily a reflection of the actual number of grafts you may be able to utilise. Keep in mind your beard and chest hair too - sounds like you are likely going to benefit from extracting from these areas also, so focus your research on surgeons and patients who have been in similar situations to yourself. All the best
  13. @Rolandas your results are looking better and better each month my friend , and your video documentation with the comb throughs under daylight are extremely honest - superb content for prospective patients. I’m pretty confident Dr BF will shortly be one of the next superstars in the Hair Restoration field, keep up good the work!
  14. Looks a lot more dense after your second pass, and the change in your appearance is quite dramatic! Very pleased for you, hope you are enjoying it!
  15. When you come to extract the further 750 grafts later on down the line , has there been a strategy in place in terms of where dr muwamba has placed the BHT in your donor eg. Purposely refilled areas close to Higher groupings of grafts to ensure that when they are later extracted , the area doesn’t appear sparse ? NB - I wasn’t alluding to the overhavesting of the scalp donor as a negative, rather a clever strategy designed for this very technique that you are conducting. I’m genuinely interested in this approach as it is the first patient thread I have seen with it, and has the potential to increase donor graft availability by quite a few extra thousand so think it’s fantastic!
  16. What type of HT do you first of all wish to have, and second of all - advised to have? FUE or FUT? If you're NW6 and on a budget - Eugenix in India have had some great FUE patient results on this forum recently. FUT in Europe - Hattingen in Switzerland are the leaders by a country mile IMO. The Belgian clinics tend to be more FUE focused, and from patient results recently posted, they seem to be focusing on hairline and frontal restoration, as opposed to larger sessions in which you seemingly require, however thats not to say they aren't good options, as they are incredibly skilled surgeons. Lorenzo has great step by step NW6 transformation strategies, so with BF training under him and working alongside him, I would hedge it a safe bet you will be in capable hands, however more patient results are required from him before I could comfortably recommend him to you. Don't bother with anyone in the UK aside from Dr Reddy or Dr Ball, they are good, however their huge prices don't justify the surgery there when you can hope across the channel into Europe and have surgery with equally talented, if not better surgeons, for a lot less. RE. Finasteride - some people have claimed for it to help strengthen donor hair and eradicate any potential thinning out of those areas, however I have to agree with your consensus that it's not really worth the risk for patients as far gone as yourself. Plus BHT may be a secret trick card you are able to utilise further down the line to increase coverage and density, which is reliant on DHT - therefore I think theres a credible argument which isn't discussed enough on these boards which looks at a different angle of finasteride usage for those higher norwoods, who wish to use BHT for scalp coverage (it doesn't stop hair loss, it slows it - so you will still inevitably reach your destined pattern one day). You are potentially inhibiting available donor reserves.
  17. I think it looks good , even more so for only 1 month post op! Are there any other doctors Currently with this trail of thought - purposely over harvesting scalp donor to later replenish with BHT! It’s a concept that really appeals to me, and strikes me as being more logical on a number of fronts, however I’ve not seen or heard anyone doing this until now in this thread ?
  18. Do Eugenix believe that it will soon be acknowledged that a more optimum utilisation of beard grafts would be using them to replenish a purposely over harvested scalp donor?
  19. Apologies for raining on your parade - but the poster whom my comments were directed towards had previously spoken out about not having seen many/any patient testimonials from Couto patients, and was basing his decision from the (admittedly excellent) YouTube videos his clinic put out. Not once did I say there weren’t any patient testimonials, So I don’t think questioning somebody’s decision to proceed with a surgeon purely based upon the clinics marketing, as being of any particular reason to make the forum a dangerous place to ‘trust someone’.
  20. You’re not worth arguing with because you can’t articulate the contradictions in what you have said in your previous posts to what you say in your replies.
  21. Amazing result and fits with the OP’s narrative of what he’s hoping for. Great to see it can be done. Congrats
  22. Very natural and artistic design. Well done to all involved 👌
