  1. He didn’t go through with it as Covid *thankfully* ruined his travel plans from Australia.
  2. Thanks for the update - looking great! If you did opt for a 4th session, do you have any idea of how many remaining grafts you have to play with?
  3. Placing value on anything in this world is subjective. There is no right or wrong answer to this question . . As the importance of having hair, and the financial means one has, will vary from person to person. You could be a bald multi millionaire, who doesn’t give a rats ar*e about his appearance, and wouldn’t part with even the cheapest of surgeries in an attempt to get him some hair back. Equally, you could have a minimum wage worker who deems the revival of his hair as such an important aspect to his life, that he spends his life saving towards surgeries with the best and most expensive clinics. We, as a community of hair enthusiasts, naturally sway towards the mentality of the minimum wage worker in my example - however you have to acknowledge that is won’t be the case for everyone. I have a friend for instance, NW6, late 30’s, and had planned a package deal to Turkey for something like £2000 all in, flights and accomodation - with the promise of getting his hair back. He wasn’t interested in paying more, because his philosophy was, if it doesn’t work out, he’ll just go back to shaving his head. So for him, he valued the potential opportunity of having hair again, to be worth no more than £2000 - this was his budget, and he was content with the roll of the dice attitude, of worst case scenario I’ll just be back to square one. Just because I would never dream of taking that approach for myself, I couldn’t argue with his rationale.
  4. This looks amazing shaved down. How many grafts are you guys going for in this pass ?
  5. Looks excellent for 6 weeks. I’m guessing at 12 weeks you’ll be pretty set up!
  6. Looks like you’ve got some pretty good coverage! How many grafts did each of your previous FUT’s yield ?
  7. Would love to see an update if possible !
  8. I think @mustang made an interesting hypothesis , that hair loss could be looked at as seasonal , similar to a hair cycle , and medical treatment as such, could be executed in the same mindset. I wonder if that would become a new thought path for patients . . You could potentially commit to taking a course of medication 3 months a year for instance,
  9. Awesome. if you could get hold of the Clinic pics before your second surgery, be great to see them!
  10. You can have visual loss in a NW2 pattern, however have miniaturisation across a NW5 pattern of loss. So a person could come on these boards claiming to be a NW2, however a surgeon would categorise him as a NW5, based on what he saw from the microscope. I wonder if this was the case with your brother?
  11. Be interested to hear on what the community’s thoughts are surrounding this topic, given a higher frequency of cases displayed by top clinics being more adventurous with their extraction patterns, and venturing out of traditional ‘safe zone’ areas. Is there now a consensus that a patient destined for a high NW would exhibit signs of this at a particular age? Or Would it be more accurate to speculate, that you can determine a patient being likely to reach a high NW level, potentially in his 40’s or 50’s . . By signs in their 20’s or 30’s?
  12. No idea - but one piece of advice I personally live by, is to never commit to surgery with a clinic unless I have seen a decent volume of unbiased patient posted results. This industry is far too hit and miss to take a clinic at face value - you have to remember that your grafts are a finite resource, so you don't get many chances in this game.
  13. 3500 up front will leave you nice and dense, I like Dr Hasson's FUE results. Did he mention how many grafts remaining you are predicted to have in your donor?
  14. How much is a full pipet? Have you noticed any sides, both negative or positive ? Edit: How long do you leave it on for ?
  15. Follow the Dr's pre op and post op instructions - and give yourself the subsequent 2 weeks after surgery to recover as best as possible, the first 4-5 initial days post surgery are particularly important, so give yourself the mental peace to do very little, and relax. Eat well, drink lots of water, and aim for at least 8 hours of sleep per night. Good Luck
  16. It’s pretty logical - the larger the surface area of the donor you can keep Virgin, the easier it is for surgeons in future surgery’s to execute new extraction patterns from. It also mitigates risk - carrying out as much damage limitation as possible throughout every step of the surgery is best practice. Like I said in the other thread , anything less than 2000 grafts in a candidate with a good donor, won’t make a visual difference at all from only one side of the donor being extracted from.
  17. I imagine it will be a combination of both the inflammation around the cells, and potentially some of the ingredients in the creams you were using could have also unsettled the growth cycle. It’s temporary though, so try not to stress on it too much man.
