  1. Hi mrmane, I used to use Toppik hair fibres but they can be quite expensive so I now buy refill bags of Sevich hair fibres from Amazon Germany that seem to do the job for me.
  2. Hi bigmistake, Yes, I'm on finasteride. I take a full tablet of Proscar on Mondays and Thursdays. As for the beard hair, after I wash my hair I used Olaplex No 6 Bond Smoother. It is a relatively new hair product that hairdressers use to reduce frizz and straighten hair in people with natural frizzy hair. I also use a very small amount of a mix of castor oil and rosemary oil to take away the dry fluffy look and help style the hair. Hope this helps.
  3. Hi guys, Eugenix have uploaded a video of my journey on youtube. Check it out....
  4. 11 MONTH UPDATE I was away with family for my 10 month so I missed that - apologies all. I am just a little over the 11 month mark since I had my surgery at Eugenix with Dr Pradeep in October 2021. As a Norwood 6 to 7 with a depleted donor area due to 4 bad FUT procedures, I just want to share with you the outcome of my daily routine with the use of hair fibres. As you will see from my attached photos I haven't got 100% coverage but it is a vast improvement to my hair prior to the amazing work done with my surgery with Eugenix. I took two sets of photo that are attached:- One was just after a workout where my hair was wet and no fibres in. I then showered, dried my hair, applied the fibres and took the second set of photos in the exact same place and under the same lighting conditions. I'll let you see for yourself how I use hair fibres to massively enhance Dr Pradeep's fantastic work.
  5. Sorry gents, I forgot to upload the close up pics of my temple points. Here you go and thanks all for the feedback.
  6. 9 MONTH UPDATE Hi guys, My sincerest apologies for the radio silence but I have been uber uber busy the past couple of months that I never got a chance to do my 7 or 8 month updates. Anyhow I managed to find a few hours two weeks ago to set up proper lighting and a photography camera to give detailed updated pics of my results 9 months post surgery at Eugenix. I also managed to film a brief video that I will hopefully edit over the coming week which I will send on to Dr Pradeep for the Eugenix youtube page. The attached photos were taken about half an hour after I had a shower and washed my hair so the hair is very dry and frizzy. It was also a really warm day so I was starting to sweat a small bit from running around trying to set up for the photos and video. Just to note - I usually add a few drops hair oil to ease the dryness and frizziness of the hair as well as my daily routine of adding hair fibres. However, I wanted to keep the appearance as natural as possible for the photos so I waited until afterwards before adding the oil and fibres. As for my results, I am confident that what you see are pretty much close to my final outcome. I am really pleased with the results from Eugenix. Consider how difficult a repair case that I am, Dr Pradeep and his team have done marvellous work in trying to achieve a positive result. When Dr Pradeep visited Ireland in May, he mentioned to me that he may manage to get a further 3000 beard grafts and a further 1000 scalp grafts for a second procedure if required. As my hair appears now, I don't have 100% scalp coverage but my daily hair fibre routine helps eliminate that problem. You will also see from the pics that the temple point on my right side temple could do with a few more grafts to help improve the density. I plan to be patient and wait at least another 9 months for my hair to mature further and I will then assess what my next course of action will be. One of my main and constant concerns is the dreaded existing 4 FUT scars on the back of my scalp - do I go to Milena in Rome for scalp tricopigmentation or do I look at the possibility of getting beard/body grafts transplanted into the scars. It is something that I will definitely need to consider in Spring 2023.
  7. Hi The Truth, No, my first 4 hair restorations (if you want to call them a restoration) was with a guy called Dr Conor Kiely at Kiely Healthcare based in Cork, Ireland. I heard a lot of rumours after mine that he butchered others too and he seems to have disappeared about 12 years ago.
  8. 6 MONTH UPDATE Hi all, Just to give you my current update of photos 6 months post surgery with Dr Pradeep Sethi at Eugenix Hair Science. I took this photos shortly after I got out of bed, hence the kind of messy and unstyled appearance. As I mentioned in my previous post from my 5 month update, the current results are a vast improvement to my hair pre-surgery and an improvement was my one expectation. I could be wrong but it is my understanding that 50-60% of transplanted grafts should have sprouted at this stage. I still don't have full coverage and my temple points are still kind of thin, so my daily routine of a small amount of dermmatch with hair fibres helps acheive the illusion of better coverage. My scalp hair is naturally straight but I also find that the majority of the beard grafts that were implanted in my mid scalp and crown seem to have a wirey and wispy appearance (particularly noticeable in the overhead photo and the rear of head photo) which may settle as they mature over the next number of months. I still have not got a hair cut since my surgery last October and despite the length of my hair, my previous FUT scars are still slightly visible from the back without the daily use of concealers (dermmatch, fibres, etc.) so I am undecided as to whether to go with SMP with Milena Lardi at Beauty Medical or to consider a further FUE procedure of grafts into the old FUT scars. This is something for me to consider maybe next year. For my 7 month update, I have promised Dr Pradeep that I will do a video update along with high quality resolution photographs - both of which I will try and upload to here too. Thanks for all the support and kind words too guys.
  9. Five Month Update Hi all, I am just over the 5 month mark post surgery for the 7000 graft surgical procedure that I had at Eugenix Hair Sciences Clinic in Gurgaon on 12th to 14th October 2021 with Dr Pradeep Sethi. So far progress has been good. When showering and washing my hair I can definitely feel and notice density when massaging shampoo into my hair. I have not got full coverage yet so on a daily basis I use some Dermmatch and hair fibres to help add the illusion of full coverage. As for the finer details of the work, I seem to have more growth on my right side temple point as opposed to the left. I'm not entirely sure how many grafts went into each but hopefully month 6 or 7 will show an equal balance. I have not had a haircut since my surgery as I want to grow my donor area out to help cover my dreaded old FUT scars (from previous very below average work at the hands of Dr Conor Kiely from 2006 to 2010), some of which are still visible in my photo at the back of the scalp. I am still undecided as how to deal with the old FUT scars - either to have tricopigmentation with Milena Lardi at Beauty Medical in Italy or to opt for further hair restoration surgery of having grafts implanted into the scars. My expectations before the work carried out by Dr Sethi have always been very practical - I just hope for an improvement. And I can certainly say at this stage that it is mission accomplished. It is a definite improvement and I look forward to the coming months as I anticipate further density and growth. Stay tuned for my 6 month update next month.
  10. 4 MONTH UPDATE Hi all, I took these photos last week which was exactly 4 months post surgery for my 7000 graft FUE procedure with Eugenix (apologies in the week delay in uploading them - just been very busy). Despite full coverage hopefully being another 4 to 6 months away, I have noticed more density starting to creep through. Some fine hair is starting to come through around the reconstructed temple points and when I shower and shampoo my hair I can feel more thinkness or density in my overall scalp. Just for everyday life when out and about, I use hair fibres and dermmatch to help hide the previous FUT scars and boost scalp coverage, until new growth and coverage develops further in the coming months. I'll give you another update next month.
  11. Hey Everyone, Here is my 2.5 month update. My donor area hair are just starting to cover my earlier FUT scars. I think I'm nearing the end of the shock loss phase which started after the end of the first month. Going forward I hope to see some serious density on the recipient site :
  12. Hi everyone, Sorry about the delay in the update. I am nearly 5 weeks post surgery with my 7000 graft procedure with Dr Sethi at Eugenix in India. Most of my transplanted grafts have shed as I enter the ugly duckling phase. However my original transplanted hair from the previous procedures over 10 years ago have started to grow through. My donor area has healed and growing well - hopefully in another month or so it will be a sufficient length to hide the bad FUT scars from the original surgeries.
  13. @Curious25 frankly I don't even remember how many grafts those local FUT clinics extracted, ultimately the job was so botched up that it was impossible for me to verify the graft count. It was a mistake at my end to have gone for those local clinics without doing my research.
  14. @follically challenged Dr Sethi told me that I have a thin hair caliber, to which I fully agree. Rest, I couldn't care less about the thickness in microns since the exact measurement of hair diameter won’t help anyone get thicker hair later!
  15. Just an update of Day 6 after my surgery with Eugenix. The recipient area and donor area are healing well. In particular my beard donor area has practically healed completely and my beard hair has begun growing out again (very little sign that over 3000 grafts were extracted less than a week ago). The Day 7 head wash is tomorrow so I'll let you all know how it goes.
