  1. I would add @Dr Blake Bloxham to your list. While he's less experienced than the surgeons you mentioned, his work so far has been amazing and he's well known.
  2. Get the mix. You want the most potency obviously. Check eBay too. There is combo finasteride/minoxidil sprays 5% (Morr F is the brand)
  3. Yes, it arrests hair loss and spurs hair to go into the growth phase. The chances of side effects are essentially zero since it's not absorbed systemically like the pill
  4. Looks good so far and you still have lots of growth left. Please keep us posted and welcome to the community
  5. Topical finasteride works and has been peer reviewed: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6609098/ You can search for it online and eBay has it as well. I use the topical finasteride/minoxidil combo myself
  6. Yes, get on finasteride and minoxidil ASAP. Consult with a surgeon as well. Would you be open to body hair transplant?
  7. Welcome to the forum! As others have mentioned, 6 months is still quite early. But it does appear you're growing appropriately thus far. Please keep us posted with your progress
  8. Yes, I'd recommend the same amount of time for FUE. FUE isn't scarless. They're just MUCH smaller scars as opposed to strip: https://ishrs.org/2019/07/19/is-fue-scarless/
  9. I would wait 1 month to start lifting and start off light. You don't want to stretch the scars.
  10. Have you tried topical finasteride/minoxidil combos? It doesn't enter your body systemically so side effects are virtually nil. I'd recommend @Dr Blake Bloxham. He's got amazing results with both FUE and FUT.
  11. Lol why is that? I've heard homes in Florida don't have basements either
  12. Place them in a cool place...not sure if you've got a basement but basements are usually cooler. Also, I'm assuming your minoxidil is in foam form and the contents are under pressure. It's dangerous to have that around high heat....it's essentially a projectile. See this: https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/explosively-hot-aerosol-cans-and-high-heat-dont-mix
  13. Given the new pictures, I'd still wait to get a hair transplant. Stay on finasteride and minoxidil
  14. What is the chronological order of these pictures? Hard to tell without comparing older pictures.
  15. Based on those pictures it doesn't look like you had any surgery. Perfect example of why going to the right surgeon makes all the difference in the world for both results and wound healing.
  16. Did you try topical finasteride? The chances of side effects are basically nil since it's local and not systemically absorbed.
  17. Great question. I start off at 2.5mg based on published literature, as well as results from other physicians and my own practice. Use the following to guide your research: https://www.practiceupdate.com/content/effectiveness-and-safety-of-low-dose-oral-minoxidil-in-male-androgenetic-alopecia/83335 https://www.jaad.org/article/S0190-9622(19)30685-1/pdf
  18. Not common at all. I'd start off at 2.5mg obviously (lowest dose) and the most I'd go up is 5mg. Obviously talk to your doctor since everyone reacts differently and you might have other comorbidities that would put you at a higher risk for side effects.
  19. I'd recommend getting in touch with @Dr Blake Bloxham as well. His work has been consistently excellent, his bedside demeanor is great, and he's a general overall stand up guy and esteemed/longtime member of this forum. His FUT scars are not even noticeable.
