  1. Looks great! Dr. Bloxham is a an amazing doctor. He knows his stuff and is one of the nicest guys you'll meet
  2. I had come across these articles a while back and thought it'd be relevant to the post: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/8682871/horrific-hair-transplants-gone-wrong-black-market-ops-warning/ https://qz.com/954680/in-turkeys-cutthroat-hair-transplant-tourism-industry-the-biggest-losers-are-the-patients-and-syrian-refugees/ What are the recourses patients have if their surgery is botched here in the States?
  3. Lol, kudos to you for not raining on that guy's parade. People need all the motivation in the world to exercise
  4. I would suggest seeing a doctor to evaluate what's going on and see what your options are. The doc may deem it appropriate for you to start Finasteride, Minoxidil and other measures to pre-empt hair loss, especially given the genetic history you've talked about
  5. Yeah lol, I'm trying to cut, but dieting is such a pain. I can work out, but eating right is so hard. Thankfully I have enough donor area and laxity that I can probably do 1-2 more FUT sessions. I might consider FUE as well. Your hair looks good Melvin
  6. I actually gained about 30 pounds from becoming a gym rat (went from 145 to 175)....too bad not all of it was muscle though haha. I attribute it to compensating for my hair loss too. Going to the gym is a great stress reliever for me though so I continue to go when time permits. I totally relate to what you're saying. I believe I'm 1 hair transplant away from being happy with my hair (have had 2 FUTs so far).
  7. I agree with you Melvin. Nowadays, there are so many choices with things like online dating, etc. To get an edge and to distinguish yourself, hair can go a long way
  8. Hi Sir, any updates? Would love to see the results.
  9. I agree Melvin. I used to post under an old handle and have seen a lot of negativity recently. I think it's important to maintain the brotherhood and appreciate what you and the other moderators are doing. It's a tough and thankless job. Let us know how we can help
  10. Hi Everyone, My name is Sal and I'm a doctor in Philadelphia and aspire to become a hair transplant surgeon. I looked on this forum and didn't see a thread with members introducing each other so I thought I'd get started. I suffer from hair loss and have gotten 2 FUT sessions, with the last being in 2013. I'm looking to get at least 1 more session, especially for my crown. I've been a member of this forum for a long time (just created a new account) and find the resources here invaluable. I will certainly be posting my before and after hair restoration photos when time permits. I aspire to become a hair transplant surgeon because I know personally how frustrating and depressing hair loss can be. I was wondering if anyone could offer me advice on becoming a hair transplant surgeon? I earned my MD in Illinois as well. Would love to read more introductions and advice from fellow forum members. All the best, Sal
  11. Let us know how it goes. He's a great guy. Very nice, prompt at replying, and knows what he's talking about. I would highly recommend him
