bleeding infection on 3rd day after surgery
Gasthoerer replied to jake888's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Visit a clinic immediately. Best would be a recommended hair transplant clinic like Melvin mentioned. But if there is a waiting time: Go to another clinic / GP or anything else today. It appears to be (based on a picture and a me not beeing a medical doctor) a nasty infection. It not only affects the grwoth negatively but can lead to severe medical issues. For five days it also looks very bloody. So try to get some more advice on the washing procedure from a recommended clinic indepentendly from the infection issue.- 13 replies

2,300 grafts w/ Dr. Bisanga (temple and hairline work)
Gasthoerer replied to kimura50's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Payam, every case is different. Bisanga is great, but he also had some poor results like every clinic. You will never (!) get 100 % guarantees. -
If one company finds a cure, this will be within a single day the biggest company in the world. Do you think that they would care for another company loosing their propocia profits? Also, if there is a cure, the bald guys from that company would steal it in a milisecond if it is not commercialised. Just look what happend when the found that viagra had some side effects like serious boners.

2.5 years after 3700 grafts - pics
Gasthoerer replied to motopokep's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Very good advice for anyone who is losing hair. -
I am very sorry for you that you did not get the results you wanted. But: We, the mods, the clinic and other clinics need better pics (and a clear timeline) to understand your situation and give advice. Of course, I know it is hard, cause it is emotionally exhausting, but we do not know what you know we can only rely on the ics we see.

Wow, great progress since month 4. Are assume you are very excited. Personally, I belive this is going to be a great result.

Get Hands-On, Life-Like FUE Hair Transplant Training
Gasthoerer replied to Abbie's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
Yieks, sounds ... sorry, lack of words ;-) But better than beeing traind on my head :-) -
I think we are spaming the TOs thread with unrelated football player results. But: Just because they are rich, the are not making better decisions or go to better clinics. Typically they all go to the same clinic. There is such a clinic in almost every country with a dr. presenting himself in TV with the B and C stars.

Down to two last choices - Bisanga or Erdogan
Gasthoerer replied to DaveyJones's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Both a great and I think on a very similiar level. It comes down to personal preference of the hairline design IMO. To make it a little more complicated: If you are a hairline case and little less grafts then the ones you mentioned are required you could also go to with a hairline specialist who does most of the work himself. -
What percentage of my donor can be used ?
Gasthoerer replied to Legend007's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
When people speak about X grafts left, it is the remaining hait until the donor thins out. There is an interestig video from Erdogan/Lorenzo. They have an excel to calculate the amount of availabe hair. It is easy to reproduce and calculate the # yourself. There are other methods as well. -
With this advanced balding and much more after quitting the meds, I do not believe that 3500 FU would even be close to be enough. He looks great now anyway.
-
What is going on with you? You said sth which is not related to you case and which is IMO wrong according to todays knowledge. If you only want to talk about your experience: Go fot it. But if you open a discussion, you cannot expect expect everyone to agree with you. There is no need to go crazy or start name calling.

Istn't that the guy who uses still micrografts? That does not sound like a great idea anyway, but in between exsting hairs it sounds terrible. Question is IMO: Is there a special method which helps to go in between existing hairs? Typically one says this is the "stick and place" method. - Lorenzo would be my top choice for that. He has also a lot of cases like this at youtube. But there are other clinics using this method as well. - Lupanzula offered me "batchy" FUE (which is his word for in between existing hairs), but I do not know if he uses stick and place - From Arocha I also have seen a lot of cases at youtube, but again do not know the method One recommendation: If you can handle it, fully shaven is better, as it is less rick for the existing hair.

This is really only your opinion and it contradicts the current science. Also, it has nothing to do with the crown known as "the black hole of hair transplants". 1) The crown is known as black hole for several reasons: a) It is a big area b) Due to the swirl you need very high density to make it not see through c) Blood flow is often worse therefore less graft grow d) If the diameter of the open crown doubles the area grows with the factor 4. If you lose more hair after a crown transplant, you get a ridiculus "donot" look, but might run out of grafts to fix it. 2) If the hair is DHT resitant in the donot it is also DHT resistant in the recipient area. But for most people also the donor is not 100 % resistant against DHT. Also, there is an aging effect overall which is not directly linked to genetic balding.

+1 Facebook results from the clinic are not worth much. See if you can find real patient reports in a trustworthy forum. -

Gasthoerer replied to ticker 's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
They are very popular in a german forum "alopezie.de", but you need to sign to see patient reports. I guess there is sth on youtube too, but real patient reports are better. Hattingen was specialised in FUT for a long time and only added FUE to their repertoire some years ago, kind of like H&W. Also they are very conservative in their hairlines which for some guys might be negative, but for you case it is a plus. I do not know pricing etc. and for sure it is not turkey or india price range. But maybe cheaper than US? Anyway, most clinics I see in this thread are good and I think you will make a proper choice. My recommendation: Visit several clinics in person and see whose plan sounds good. Recommendation for me were totally different in a live consulation compared to assessment via pics.- 35 replies

That is not true. There are still great clinics performing FUT in Europe. Just turkey is a FUT wasteland. Feriduni, Bisanga, Devroye and my favorite for your case Hattingen are all top notch FUT (and FUE clinics).- 35 replies

Are you referring more to the kid brad or the kid david? https://hairstyleonpoint.com/brad-pitts-fury-hairstyle/ http://www.stylesnew.com/hairstyles/celebrity-hairstyles/david-beckham/ Don't get me wrong, I prefer more conservative hairstyles myself. But if you complaining to much about "kids" hair, it is a sign that you are getting an old fart ;-) -
It is called buyer's remorse and is very common. Is the hairline low? Yes. Will it look great! Yes, I think it will. Did you "need" a transplant? If it has bothered you in the past, then Yes, why not. Wait it out, and see how it goes. Most likely you will be very happy. It is not a good idea to raise the hairline and is only done in very critical cases. Yours is not (!) one of them. Your focus should be to keep the remaing hair as you spend a lot of grafts already and your donor is not the strongest one (typical for asien).
-
I do not agree with this thread, because it is a simplification of a complicated topic. A) Why is there such a focus on turkey? There are many countries in the world where transplants are performed. B) Just from the back of my head I can name several clinics in turkey where the doc is doing the entire procedure: - HLC (actual several docs in a joint clinic) - Keser - Kaan (former HLC employee) I guess there are more, and there are even more if you look outside of turkey say belgium, switzerland, greece.... C) There is not one typ of clinic for all type of situations: The "do it all" approach limits the amount of grafts per day (typical 500-800) and per session (1500 - 2000 as a rough value) which can be moved. It also leads to fatique to the person performing it. No one can fully concentrate for 8-12 h / day. Depending on the approach it can (!) also lead to longer "out of body times" of the grafts.
-
I think it is important to understand how many grafts you need. With the method of Konior (or other clinics like Lupanzula, Keser, Nadimi (student of Konior), Hei.tmann, ...) you are limited to a certain #of grafts / day and per session. Most of them are very conservative too. Lupanzula does a little more / day is my feeling. You have to understand that all clinics have their bad cases. Konior mentioned it himself in here. Good luck.

Shameless Bathroom Selfies
Gasthoerer replied to Bill - Seemiller's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Haha, nothing, but it requires very short hair at the sides and the back. Not sure if that is possible for Bill. Also: Not everyone wants to have the "Standard" look like all the others men ?
