  1. 7 Month Update! Last month I think I had a bit if a wobble regarding my hair transplant. Well, I'm happy to say that those feelings have completely subsided. Why? Well initially i had been trying to do my hair in the same way that I was doing before the transplant so of course I had all these preconceptions of what I thought my hair should look like after the surgery and perhaps I wasn't being realistic enough. So I've cut my hair much shorter than usual in an attempt to try something a bit different...it's actually been cut to the same length as the recipient area so my hair is now the same length for the first time since the operation and I have to say I'm really loving it! My hair feels really thick and healthy and im not afraid of wearing it up and I feel much more confident and attractive haha. In terms of growth from month 6 I can't say I've noticed much but tbh I haven't been looking out for more growth as I'm already in a place where I am very happy with the results. The left side is still weaker than the right but it still looks a hundred times better than it did before. Right Left Lastly a thank you to those who sent supportive messages when I was having doubts after my 6 month update, I was definetly getting in my head about things but you're feedback really helped give me some perspective!? Thanks for reading!
  2. I've uploaded some more photos of the hairline and hopefully these are better quality and give you a better idea of the hairline design. I'm ignoring the redness as i'm confident that it will fade in time (even if it is taking its sweet time), what i want to focus on is the actual placement of the grafts in the hairline. The right side in my opinion looks great and im very happy with it. The left side however looks kinda artificial in comparison and at 6 month i have reservation about how much difference there will be in the next 6 months. Front left Right
  3. Hi there, i'm currently 6 months post op from having a hair transplant on my hairline and let me tell you if you grow out your hair long enough on top beforehand you wont need a hair piece. I took 2 weeks off from work to get my procedure and when i returned not one person clocked on that i had anything done, they all just thought i had decided on a change of hairstyle. If you have a look through my post there are photos of how i styled my hair after surgery. All the best!
  4. Baha yeah my hair was rather wild when i took those photos, I'm actually thinking of getting it cut short later this week so that the native hair and transplanted hairs are the same length but not sure if i can go through with it as i like having my hair longer haha
  5. 6 MONTH UPDATE!!! Things have come a long way since i first had my hair transplant procedure. I'm enjoying wearing my hair up or down without feeling self conscious but there's still progress to be made....well....i hope there is The right temple is doing great, its starting to blend in with the natural hair and the density is good. The left however is starting to concern me, its noticeably thinner than the right and i feel that it looks quite unnatural, hopefully it's just because there's still a bit of redness which is highlighting the transplant but i find when i push my hair back it looks very artificial. I've uploaded some photos to give a better idea. Should i start to be concerned or does it look about right for 6 months? Left side (weaker side) Right Side (better side) I'd be really interested to know what you guys think if how everything's looking. Thanks for reading
  6. Thank you yeah I'm very excited, I'm hoping it will all thicken up over the next couple of months so I can really start trying out different hairstyles!
  7. 5 Month Update! A little early this month but i had some spare time so thought i would update my results for the 5 month mark. Things have continued to grow nicely and the grafts are getting to the length where i can start experimenting with hairstyles. I've started wearing my hair up which is a real milestone for me on a personal level because i would always get so self conscious about my hair falling out of place and exposing my receding hairline, but now i feel like i can confident go outside with my hair done up and not worry about any wind or rain. The right temple has really filled out over the last few weeks which has been exciting to see, the left is still a bit behind in comparison but there is an improvement and i can notice lots more tiny hairs sprouting out which im guessing are hairs that have taken a little longer to start growing. I've attatched 2 photos for either side, one with the grafts pushed forward like the previous photos and another pulled back to give you a clearer picture of how the hairline is looking.
  8. Thank you, Yeah I'd heard a lot of good things about Dr Feriduni' bedside manner, that was actually one of the reasons that swayed me to him over the other surgeons that I was researching at the time, he genuinely seems to care about making his patients happy and stands by his work... and I thought if anything were to go wrong I would want to make sure I chose a surgeon who wouldn't leave me in a bad situation. Thankfully I've not had to put that to the test
  9. Month 4 update! It's crazy to think that 4 months ago today I was sat in Dr Feridunis clinic nervously awaiting to have my hair transplant done, where has time gone?! Things have thickened up nicely on both temples...the left side is still much thicker than the right but supposably it's normal for one side to grow faster than the other, for me as long as i can see an improvement from last month's update I'm happy....and I can see a definite improvement
  10. Thanks I can't wait for it to start thickening up and get a bit longer so I can style it...although i think im getting ahead of myself there haha
  11. Have posted a couple of comparison photos for you. The area wasn't very big compared to what some people have had on here.
  12. A quick side by side of month 1 and month 3
  13. 3 months today! Finally an update that's actually on time In the last month I can really see a change in the recipient area, I'm spotting more hairs every day and as the hairs are getting longer I can see the beginnings of my new hairline. The right hand side is still much thicker looking than the left but I'm still seeing improvements on both sides which is my main goal at this point. It's funny, up until now I've been very good at ignoring the fact I've had a hair transplant, but now that I'm seeing results I can't help but stop at every mirror and have a look for new hairs haha! Redness is still lingering but not as bad as it was a month ago, its not particularly bothering me at this point but its definetly worth noting for anyone looking to get a hair transplant, youre recipient area is going to be red for quite some time!
  14. I sure do hope so! Yes I've been taking a combination of fin and minoxidle for the past 2 and a half years.
