The "newer" version of the company uses a hyphen in the "regrow" name, the older one doesn't lol. So I guess they needed a "new" name. If LL turns out to be McTyre operating under an alias (he's used alises before), then that would be hilarious.

What's really awful is that they'll probably just change the name again and reincorporate as they have been doing for like what 10 years? They (well, he, it was always Logan Lynch) said they had been in business for 20.

Another fun fact that I forgot to mention: This Logan Lynch person was very keen on me paying cash for the procedure. Gave me 275 grafts "for free" (plan was originally for 3500) if I paid cash, which I did (because I'm a moron).

Also I won money at a casino and mentioned it to him a few days after the procedure, and he asked me to bring some of the winnings by to pay toward the rest of the money that I owed. 😐 (That, at least, I did not do. I was like "uh I thought we were doing monthly payments that's my gambling money lol" and he just replied "monthly payments are fine" and never mentioned it again.)

No, they won't. Just like any low-quality person, he/she/they will continue to offer low-quality things to people in life if he/she/they wish to. All we can do is encourage and teach as many people as possible to not be swindled by scams, disingenuous and low-quality work, etc.

Here's a local news report I found on YouTube about Chris McTyre. Well at least he and Logan Lynch aren't the same person, lol.

Given that Lynch and McTyre are both the registered agents for this clinic at the same address (one time the name has the hyphen, the other time it doesn't lol), what seems to be going on here is that Lynch (who was the out-front guy for all my interactions with the clinic) is fronting for McTyre, whose reputation is now so insanely awful that he can't be the face of anything.

Holy crap - this news report is wild. So happy that this got brought to light, and I hope they get the toughest legal repercussions imaginable and that this entire business model goes up in flames.

I've been around this forum for so long that I forget that there are millions of people out there who aren't well-versed in this industry and it's so easy for them to be taken advantage of. Hopefully a lot of guys learn from this and end up dodging a bullet. 

Also, $2/graft in the US is absolutely insane, and I hope this thread helps any newbies reading this that that is a huge red flag.

Like I said earlier, they will just keep changing the name, changing who is the one in charge, maybe change locations once in a while, etc etc. They can do this their entire lifetime. The place I went to did it for 30 plus years until they all eventually retired.

They can't get better at it because they aren't the Drs performing the surgeries. They (Chris McTyre and Logan Lynch) were probably techs or consultants working for other hair transplant Drs at one time and decided they can make more money opening their own HT clinic. But they can't actually perform the surgeries, so they hire inexperienced Drs who are just starting out and getting some practice in before leaving to go on their own or they hire Drs who couldn't make it in other areas and were maybe barred from performing surgery in their chosen field. Experienced HT Drs wouldn't work for them because they would just own their own clinic and make more. So these guys offer low priced HTs to get people in the door who are more interested in getting it cheap than who is doing the HT or what is actually being done to them until it's too late.

The actual Drs are always moving on and being replaced along with changing the company name. That keeps them (McTyre and Lynch) from being held liable for anything that goes wrong because they didn't perform the transplant and they can say the Dr who did they already got rid of (probably left on his own, but that doesn't matter). What can you do?

This is the same kind of thing that the place I went to did for over 30 years

What sickens me is how nothing is done to stop this clinic from continuing to knowingly disfigure people, why hasn't someone contacted a medical board and posted pictures of his work? We have two members here that can attest to their willful negligence, are there no medical standards applied to this industry? 

Well, I do think that s a rhetorical question, and there has never been any standards applied to this industry. Make no mistake, it's still the Wild West out there. Technology has yielded excellent results, but only in the hands of those with talent and ethics, the latter often lacking in the history of this industry.

@Oxiborick don't stress at only 8 weeks. It takes many months for your donor to recover. My donor was very thin and whispy after my surgery (from an already botched donor). Give it time and you will be fine. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to soon to be even thinking about repairs, etc. 👍

Very true! 8 weeks is too early, my donor also took a while to recover, it’s a process, same goes for recipient area, we all tend to want results within 5-6 months & forget that it is a process takes up to 12 months, the anxiety can get very real as we compare ourselves to select few. I stopped looking at my midscalp every 12 hours-) will let the time do it’s thing.

Hey thanks for thinking about me! Nice to know I'm not alone in this.

I haven't gone after this bunch. Feel like it's not worth the effort, really, and it turns out these guys aren't merely incompetent but honest-to-god scary criminal types. If the grafts actually grow in I'll just move on. If they don't... this clinic is in trouble.

I'm leaning toward the theory that they just transected half the grafts they took (without killing the follicles) because my donor is growing back surprisingly thick. I'm on the Rogaine train on top of the finasteride and I always respond really well to both so I'm cautiously optimistic. If they really did lose half the grafts to transection and just had been honest with me about it I wouldn't have had a problem with that at all. They insisted up to the last time I spoke with them that I got all 3800 placed.

This is like week 10 so we're still very early in everything. I'll post pictures at the end of February probably.

I'm really sorry for OP for what he went through. I was very lucky to get help back in 2015 and 2016 here and I'm always thankful for it. Yes, it's Chris Mctyre again! He went too far by practicing medical services without any license and even without a doctor to hide under his/her license ( like he did with Dr. James Boland back in 2015) .

I mean really there is no law here in the US to go after him or criminals like him and stop him once and for all? Maybe if admin agrees, one topic about him and his crimes might help many other victims in the future. My experience is already posted here and I hope no one experience what I wen't through and my wish can't be realized as long as Chris Mctyre is out there and butchering people like myself and OP. Chris if you read this I have to say you're worse than any animal I've ever seen and I hope you pay for all of your crimes one day in the court of law.

His full name is  "Don S Mctyre" but he goes with " Chris Mctyre " ( I found some info about him on the internet) he must be 67 years old by now. I don't have his picture but I remember his face clearly and I swear he exactly looked like "BUCK" from "Kill Bill" movie. Ironically I remember him in the exact same blue scrubs! If someone read this and plans to be butchered by him and his gang I have to say please stop. Don't waste your time, don't be robbed and don't be butchered! Please! for your own good!

He has a doctor on staff for his current place, though I never met him. I did see the nurse practitioner on staff, briefly.

The doctor's name is Joseph Bush, the NP is Victoria Volz.
