  1. This is close up view under bright light from last week of hair line, maybe there are few, i am not sure, I think it looks ok, again, my main objective was to fully restore the roof, was not in a luxury to neat pick perfect hairline at my level of hairloss
  2. Hey, it’s holding well, considering i was a NW 6, for 1 pass , am happy, of course more density in crown would make me even more happy 😃 but i have to be reasonable, 5k grafts for such level of hair-loss is awesome. Im in mid 40s, so probably will not get a 2nd pass, if i was younger in my 20s of course i would be more inclined to, but what i got from this ht, really changed my life for the better, if i really want to flex on some special occasion event, i might sprinkle some fibers, but never done so, i feel for my age a bit of see through is expected. Hope this helps you with your decision, its all about what your expectations are out of ht, for me it was adequate coverage, & that’s what i got out of it, nothing more, nothing less 👍 .
  3. Thank you Melvin! From day 1 of my journey you and other OGs,( Gatsby, behappy .. here have been a great support & source of info , happy to see that more people are sharing their results & opinions on clinics/doctors and helping the community grow. Happy Holidays!!
  4. Hey guys, 12 Month Update. I really think the thickening & overall maturity of hair is still at work, i see much greater density in midscalp & crown without having to part hair to the right, as i did in previous updates. It’s true guys, after 12 months the crown does keep getting better. I took the pic from exact same place/room/chair as before op pic, there are no fibers, as is. I am very happy, thank you dr V ! Have not yet had my 12 month follow up with him, been busy living life😎but will soon.
  5. Thanks E! Appreciate your following from the beginning of my journey.
  6. Thank you Melvin! Yes, that is a good idea, i will try to trim sides & leave front longer, i have a 12 month follow up with Dr V next month, will see what he thinks, but i am very happy, it is certainly life changing, as you and many others here in the community can fully understand how liberating it is to get hair back. I was well prepared before surgery to have realistic expectations, thanks to this forum & the great members who share their wealth if knowledge, if i do decide on 2nd pass, i will most likely have to consider beard as donor to not deplete my scalp donor.
  7. Thank you my friend! You have a good point there, perhaps if i get good haircut it would look better, the thing is my scalp is very pale😩and hair is very dark, could not have been a harsher contrast. Also, i took photos outside in sunny day for transparency, certainly it looks much different indoors as you may have seen in my prior update. I will definitely think about of 2nd pass for more density after few more months perhaps .
  8. Hey guys, Almost at 11 months, i took these photos outside today for this update, no product of any kind on hair, as is. For the 12 month update i will include indoor & outdoor view of ht.
  9. Yet another example as to why 5-6 months is not an end result, everyone has different time frame for hair to start growing. During my 5 month i was also concerned for my midscalp & crown, then after month 7 it started to take off and still growing. So if anyone reading this , be patient, it will grow.
  10. This transformation is definitely life changing, and only us who been there can truly relate on every level the happiness it brings, very happy for you brother! My life has also changed for the better since undergoing ht. i really think govn’t should mandate tax write off on ht. why? Because the confidence that ht brings leads us to higher paying jobs, being more productive members of society & hence paying higher taxes on more income😎
  11. All good my friend! This topic been on my mind for a while, as i too am not immune from hair greed-) and hence opening a thread in this is also theraputic to myself. Hey, if in the near future some miracle new fue technic is developed or Zarev shares his method with more docs, i will be the 1st in line to get me more hair😎, i too want to flex on Instagram with Elvis like density.
  12. Good points guys, yes, i see your point of views as well. What my main point that i wanted to drive home is that if one has a good coverage from ht , that is, Under Normal light Conditions it’s not a see thru, then in my opinion, there should be no need for adding density. Certain acceptance is a must when undergoing ht. i by no means defending any mediocre results. We are strictly elaborating on hair greed, which usually strikes those of us who have satisfactory coverage but wish for more density.
  13. Guys, before we get into the topic i just want to preface by saying , let’s keep this lighthearted & not too serious-) As we know, hair greed is real, yes it is. We are all here in therapy, & as 1 wise man said, ‘there is no lying in therapy”. We gonna keep it real here. One may wonder after ht, when is enough really enough (hair). Of course , it depends on 1s donor capacity, finances etc. but hear me out, i look at it as retirement account. We all know we need to plan savings for retirement, we can’t really depend on social security checks, simply cause it’s bare minimum & some might not even survive on that alone, given rising cost of living etc. Now let’s look at ht, we do consciously realise that ht is not hair-loss elimination, it’s a hair loss reduction, but yet subconsciously we dismiss it, yes, we do, 😬. My pops is 90 yrs old, he was a solid NW3 till like 50, but at 60 he progressed to NW5 & now NW7. His sides dropped low. Now this made me a bit scarred that if we follow the hair greed at even till 60, & most high will bless us with another 30-40 yrs of life, are we ok sporting an island ( should sides start to go)? And once they go they really go, it would need a lot of grafts. As much as i , and i assume you, want to get that Elvis density, we have to be real with ourselves. Donor supply is finite, risks of ht are always on cards, Zarev’s wait list will be 20+ yrs, cure will still be promised in ‘5yrs’ 😝is it really worth it? right now my coverage in natural light is very good, as is most of yours who had good hts, do we really walk around with fluorescent light bulb 💡 over our heads? No. So, in my opinion whenever hair greed strikes, be mindful of it😎
  14. Hello guys, quick almost 9 month update. I just took these pics from work hallway, so this is how it looks indoors, very happy at continued progress. There is no hair fibers nor any product, all natural , as is😎 the side where i part my hair , under direct light(last pic) is still awaiting thickening, but again, i really think Dr V did great work , considering my roof was completely gone, with only 5k grafts for NW6 with high contrast (pale scalp/dark hair), yet he managed to pull it off nicely. I will keep updating as months go by.
  15. This looks very good, i would not even entertain an idea of 2nd ht. we tend to forget that ht was never meant to give perfect density, what you got is very very good result, if you style it to the side, it would look even more dense. I would save the extra grafts for future in case sides start to drop, other than that, absolutely no go for 2nd ht for what already is excellent coverage. I am in similar time frame, and will do 9 month update soon, i have zero desire to add to density, will save them grafts in case sides start to go. They say “life is short” . I disagree, when we have hair-loss , life is long😎So keep the rest grafts for that long future, not waste any now.
