  1. I have had it done on multiple occasions, from Dr. Umar, the king himself, and yes, it works. It has worked in all of my numerous strip scars from the 90's, but more importantly, it has added density to awful transplants from the 90's. Were it not for beard hair I would still be wearing a ball cap everywhere.
  2. Yes, but we need more than that. We need a HT repair section, as well as a bulletin board of horror stories and doctors to avoid. Perhaps someone sees that BEFORE they are butchered.
  3. I know you don't, I don't expect you to. I know this forum helps people, it's extremely beneficial.
  4. I don't think Admin. likes to shine a light on these kinds of unethical butchers, as it makes the industry look bad, and they get paid to make the industry look good.
  5. You don't know what you're talking about, and your judgement is flawed, as are your assumptions. But it's a free country, and you are free to be wrong. Getting back on topic, I have also visited Dr. Konior as I live in Illinois and he is not far away. I had hairline revision by him before he started practicing FUE, and he did, and does, great work. He had little to work with in my case, as my donor sources were almost depleted. I can personally say, from someone who has sat in the chair of both of these doctors, that ethically and professionally, they are both amongst the best choices you can make in a crowded field.
  6. What sickens me is how nothing is done to stop this clinic from continuing to knowingly disfigure people, why hasn't someone contacted a medical board and posted pictures of his work? We have two members here that can attest to their willful negligence, are there no medical standards applied to this industry? Well, I do think that s a rhetorical question, and there has never been any standards applied to this industry. Make no mistake, it's still the Wild West out there. Technology has yielded excellent results, but only in the hands of those with talent and ethics, the latter often lacking in the history of this industry.
  7. So how do we stop this scumbag from butchering anyone else? Is the medical community, including every single doctor who publishes their results on this forum, going to coalesce as a unified group and utter a public condemnation, as well as contact their local medical boards with a photographic evidence of this so-called doctor's malfeasance, lack of medical efficacy and repeated violations of the Hippocratic Oath?
  8. You've been on the forum for how long? Dr. Umar was on here posting pictures of not only amazing repairs, but amazing HT's of guys approaching NW7, from as far back as I've been on the forum, which is 2007. You weren't around for all of that. I don't know what you mean by "boutique/niche" surgeon, do you? His extensive experience doing amazing repair work is certainly no impediment, and every one of his patients can expect an excellent result, as his body of work has repeatedly shown.
  9. We want to help him, but we also want to help others avoid his mistake.
  10. I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but I've seen your pictures, and you won't look anything like him, your density from the work you had done will not be anything resembling the density he has.
  11. Well, I am an actual patient of Dr. Umar, he did my hairline and it simply can't be done any better than it turned out. You live in California and are considering a flight to Europe when one of the premier HT surgeons is in Redondo Beach, probably an hour or two drive? Alrighty then.
  12. Did you have a personal relationship with him before your surgery? If you did not, there was no reason to think of him as your "friend", if he worked to somehow make you feel this way, simply as a paying customer, then the guy sounds like a sociopath and a con artist, which further explains how he could do such awful work and then continue lying to you and now refusing to take responsibility. There are good doctors out there, this forum is where you can find them, but trust me, this aint my first rodeo, and this guy is taking the default position that was the primary response to bad work for many decades. Did he make you sign any disclaimers before he operated on you? If so, forget legal action, and if you didn't sign anything, know that your chances of successfully suing him lie somewhere between slim and none. Furthermore, it's smart to do your research and "trust, but verify", so don't let this scumbag change your worldview. Anything medical related, from HT's to colonoscopy, needs to be thoroughly researched and the doctors vetted. There no guarantees even if you have done your homework, and if you haven't, well, you are more likely to sit in the same chair that you did for your procedure.
  13. Yes, it was, but I had two things going for me: I kept my original hairline, which had always been high, and my crown was untouched (this was 25 years ago, when they were doing something called "scalp reductions'" (Google it) so my repair was limited to filling in the numerous strip scars (exclusively beard hair) and softening the hairline (scalp hair) and filling in the front half (all beard hair) and I can vouch for beard hair, because without it, I could not have been repaired. I wore a hat for 20 years I was so embarrassed by my hairline and hair plug appearance, It was a long running nightmare, and there were only a handful of doctors in the world who could have repaired me. I'm extremely grateful, and relieved, to look normal again.
  14. It makes absolutely no difference what the clinic who did this to you said, they have proven to be utterly negligent and incompetent and you cannot take their word for anything. This clinic should not be in business, it does look like someone who had never done a transplant before. It also makes zero difference with how nice and personable they have treated you, as you now face the prospect of getting repaired with a diminished donor, and prior to this procedure you were well on your way towards a Norwood 7 scale of hair loss. You have to be extremely careful moving forward, you cannot read some Google reviews and pick your next clinic based off of 5 star reviews, because you don't have enough donor to repair two mistakes, it will be challenging enough to fix this as you have a large area to cover. I strongly suggest you visit with someone who specializes in repair and has a proven track record of success doing that. I speak from experience, it took me years to repair my botched procedure and I had to use beard hair, as I was long out of scalp donor. Best of luck to you.
  15. Curious, why did Dr. Bhatti reject you? Did he discuss using alternate sources, like body hair, for your restoration? I was rejected myself for any repair work, because my donor was tapped and there was nothing to work with, and then in 2014 I found Dr. Umar, and he changed my life when no one else could. Perhaps there are others out there who can do the same now, but in the U.S., there was only Dr. Umar 6 years ago.
  16. Sanjar, how has your repair been going? At what stage in the process are you right now?
  17. Once again, the butcher walks away scot free. Young guys need to realize it is still the Wild West out there, and just because someone has Dr. in front of their name does not mean you can trust that person. Like it or not, this business is populated by some very shady people.
  18. If they did a poor job the first time, why trust them again to repair it to your satisfaction? It’s time to cut your losses. Don’t throw good money after bad. You have a finite amount of resources to harvest and you are squandering those visiting this clinic.
  19. What kind of house of horrors is this place? Why did they use a drill to make holes in your scalp that are unrelated to your surgery? I'm really sorry to hear about your result, and sincerely hope there is no hydrocephalus, you have to DOCUMENT everything, get clear pictures, doctor statements, etc., you can sue this clinic but I don't know if this is viable in Turkey or not, and if you have a chance to recoup damages. I think it is a shame this forum does not have a STICKY to warn prospective clients to STAY AWAY from horror shows like this clinic.
  20. Did this guy ever post his results? It would seem he did at one time but I don't see them now, nor remember if he did. All I see is a picture of him right after his surgery, which does not look like it's gonna lead to a favorable result.
  21. It's not worse than the era of plugs, not even close. No need for hyperbole, because back in the plug/minigraft era, you often had no options for repair. Today you have multiple options for repair.
  22. It sounds to me as though you are one of those people who will never be happy with their hair. You had 1000 grafts into a very dense and thick head of hair, probably unnecessary to begin with, and now you are obsessing over your result. I think no matter what you do, you won't be happy and will continue to obsess over your hair. Your hair looks fine. Go live your life.
  23. So you think looking at his pictures that he is going to be happy with the density he'll get from the number of grafts he received? You might, but I sure don't. Friedman I'd suggest you spend some time looking at FUE results on this forum, and look at the immediately post-op pictures. Notice what those patients looked like in relation to the pictures you posted. Another pass is going to be necessary, but getting it done on the cheap the next time will mean you'll have limited options and very limited scalp donor, and using non scalp sources is very expensive and not nearly as reliable. You' always spend more on repairs, and your results are usually never as good as doing it right the first time. Some people have good success at the cheaper clinics in Turkey, and even India, and your risks are far lower than what you took in Georgia. Save your money, do your research, and get it right the next time, and you'll be a happy camper.
