  1. Another option if you decide (or don't decide) to go with Arocha is to add SMP to give the illusion of more density. You can also use SMP to camouflage the donor area too. My personal response would be to leave it. All the best!
  2. Looking good mustang! That's just in 4 weeks. Imagine in 14 months. Wishing you all the best and I look forward to your updates!
  3. No one and I mean 'NO ONE' is ever going to know that your beard was a transplant! Looking forward to your updates! All the best!
  4. I like the design of your 'natural looking' hairline. The clinic sounds very transparent. I look forward to your updates and thanks for sharing!
  5. Abhinay that is another incredible result from Eugenix in the Norwood 6/7 range! It's not just the coverage with 5,000 grafts it's the naturalness that seals it.
  6. jc80220 please seriously consider the advice given above. I'm really concerned that your expectations are far too high in what a hair transplant can do for you. Also, as has been stated if you go to Turkey or any other hair mill for that matter you run the serious risk of a bad result which will require further surgery and money. You need to read Doron Harati's thread where he literally nearly did die during a hair transplant. In the past couple of years people going for a cheap hair transplant have suffered necrosis, losing an eye and one death in that period. The others who are left with terrible results are legion. The amount of great results from Turkey are the exception, not the rule. All the best.
  7. At this early stage of your final result your hair looks fantastic! You chose a great clinic and a great surgeon. I'm also booking with Dr Arika Bansal next year for myself, covid 19 willing. I look forward to following your journey! Thanks for sharing!
  8. Congratulations vic hush! Do you have any more pics (before and after) that we can celebrate with you? Thanks for sharing!
  9. As others have said, with the hair that you already have, the results from having surgery far outweigh the benefits. The majority of hair transplant results can never come close to what you already have naturally. At best you will end up with surgical scarring. At worst the possible list is endless. The meds are working well for you and a hair transplant is always the last resort. You look far more natural now compared to what a hair transplant will add.
  10. You donor looks impeccable at just 5 days out from your procedure. All the best!
  11. To be honest I had very little hair loss at the time of my two hair transplants. I always had a high forehead and my temples were starting to recede. I had the surgery as much to lower my hairline (biggest regret) as much to fill in my temples. By 21 the recession was more and by 25 the crown was thin and as was the vertex. I’ll drag up some old pics and post them.
  12. It could just be slightly shaved to get better access to suturing the FUT. Hard to tell from the pics but looks great overall!
  13. Fantastic result. I think the hairline is perfect and I wouldn't want it any lower. Are you willing to go on finasteride to prevent any possible future loss? Thanks for sharing!
  14. I would get in touch with teams such as Eugenix, etc and provide them with all of your history and good quality photos of your hair/donor, etc. If your hair in general is suffering from miniaturization a transplant just now could make your current situation far worse in the long run. If you're patient and do your research you will get out of this. It's finding the right answer to the right problem. All the best!
  15. I totally agree with everything that JohnAC71 has said.
  16. I was also wondering what your age is Raymond92? The reason being is because the older a person is (compared to someone who is in their late teens/early twenties) the more concrete their expectations are with hair transplants. You could grow your hair and one day decide to shave it (like I have currently). You may or may not be too concerned about scars. I'm concerned about my scars but I'm certainly not depressed. If you had FUE then you would be an excellent candidate for SMP. Joe Rogan does have a noticeable FUT scar from only one procedure I believe (?). He calls it his 'smile.' He's done nothing to hide it (in terms of SMP, etc) and has moved on with his life. All the best.
  17. I would be telling my younger self "RELAX! There's a thing in the future called the 'internet' that has a thing called a hair loss forum! You can share your pain/depression and fear of losing all your curls and living a life of being bald! There will even be a drug called finasteride that might help stop your hair receding!" If only I could have gone back and changed my perception of reality back then when I was 18 before I pulled the trigger on what turned out to be the biggest mistake in life so far (well not really. It's only a mistake if you learn nothing from it). But little did I know then the implications of what my decisions at the time would have on me for the rest of my life. I have a theory that at age 18 your brain hasn't fully developed in the frontal cortex region and doesn't fully mature until early/mid twenties. That's why you are most vulnerable in poor decision making in that early stage of life (in lots of areas). Another reason why holding off until your around 25 makes sense. Anyway I found a photo of myself at 17. In a year from when this photo was taken my scalp in the donor and hairline were unnecessarily ruined. The upshot of this is that the gift of getting older is wisdom.
  18. Hey Ukspur. Are you able to post pics now of your hairline. One of the features of a natural looking hairline is that it is asymmetrical. Are you taking finasteride to try and stabalise your hair loss? All the best and thanks for sharing.
  19. MM2020 forgive me as I guess I'm a perfectionist! Others recently have also gone to Dr Vik. Also you chose the best that Australia has to offer so you made a smart decision. I've had an interest in the air transplant industry for the past 35 years -being a victim at a young age to now out dated techniques. My concerns here are based on what I've seen and know. two years ago a 'well known' hair transplant surgeon in Melbourne Dr Rhett Bosniach died of a recreational drug over dose with his wife one morning. Can you imagine how many patients had surgery performed upon them with him high as a kite or coming down and crashing? Another is a long standing surgeon in Adelaide Dr Mario Marzola who performs only 1,000 grafts per procedure. Why? Because he is at such an advanced age that 1,000 grafts is all he can now harvest! Anyway you are in good hands and looking forward to your results! 👍
  20. MM2020 a great write up. I've met Dr Vikram and Dr Knudsen and I had scar strip removal surgery performed before by Dr Sheill (who taught and trained Dr Knudsen how to perform hair transplantation). One thing though that I was just concerned about was why you based your choice of surgeon on proximity to your apartment? This is a life changing surgery and that really should be the last worry on your list. I don't mean to sound harsh but it surprised me. I look forward to your journey and thanks for sharing!
  21. With the greatest of respect to Dr Zarev as a surgeon I have a lot of doubts. Firstly;y because he will not reveal his 'technique' to other world class surgeons and keeps claiming that it is 'currently awaiting patent approval.' The other thing is that I believe he himself wears a hair piece, but you be your own judge.
