  1. I am open to it. I am just wondering if I need to do that? Price to get to Europe and hotels and stuff add up. Also no in person follow up if something goes wrong. However, I would love to go to someone really good and have piece of mind. Do you have any recommendations for Europe?
  2. Hi there, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I am looking for a great HT dr in the Bay Area. I have heard about Mohebi and D**** as being good but some have mixed reviews. I can travel if nessary and I will pay for quality but don't want to get ripped off. Do you think there are better options if I go outside the bay area? I'm open to it and probably looking for 2500 or 3000 grafts. Thank you all so much for any help or info.
  3. Do you guys recommend going out of the country or staying in the states if money was no object? I don't think I would need that many grafts to fix my hairline. I just don't want there to be all these other issues like scarring or it looking obvious, that makes me regret it. Are most people happy with the outcome?
  4. Thanks everyone who responded. I really appreciate it. I also teach martial arts and I am worried that rolling around on the mat will mess up the procedure. How long would i have to wait to exercise before the procedure heals?
  5. Hello Everyone, Thanks for opening. I have been insecure about my hairline for many years and I just turned 47 and want to be proactive. I have taken propecia for 20 years and used rogaine but it's not enough. I have posted on here a few times and members told me to wait. I am here to get another opinion from you guys. I have no idea why the photos came out upside down but i can't figure out how to change them. I am unhappy with my hairline and would prefer it to be like the last pic where my hair is pushed down. Please help me find a good surgeon. I am in the bay area but I am happy to travel out of state or country. I just want to stop being upset when i see my hairline. My hair is light color so I'm worried the transplant will show or be obvious. Do light haired people get good results? Thank you all for reading and any advice. 47 year old, trying to figure out first transplant. Thank you, Macavelli
  6. That's what I think! The dr. told me you can start getting side effects after years of being on it. I had sex or jerk off everyday for 20 years.
  7. Hello everyone, I have been on propecia since my 20's and I am now 46 so probably at least 16 years but maybe 20 years. I don't remember having any sexual side effects when i was younger or for the first 10 or so years. But in the last few years it has gotten worse and worse. I spoke with my dr and urologists and they recommended quitting propecia. First or all, I want to make sure that it is the propecia that is causing it before I quit. I am scared that I permanently ruined my sex life and even if I quit it won't come back, but instead I will start loosing my hair. It's really stressful and I have other factors that contribute I am sure, ( anxiety, stress, poor sleep, not exercising enough). If anyone has any experience in this area I would really appreciate it. I don't want to loose my hair, but did I sacrifice my sex life? Thank you for reading.
  8. I’m not trying to bad mouth any dr. He said many celebs get it done and he could give me the results I want.
  9. Thanks again guys! I really appreciate your feedback. I thought i could get a transplant to help me age more gracefully and keep my hair later in life. I want to look natural and good for my age. I also have a young girlfriend. With your feedback its hard to justify pushing forward and doing the transplant. The Dr. was so convincing. He told me I could look like Brad Pitt! I was ready to drive over there! I guess I need to work on my self image. I focus on my flaws.
  10. Thanks for responding guys! I have been on propecia for 15 years, regain once a day 10 years, and capillus for 2 years. I just feel like I'm still loosing and I don't like stressing.
  11. Really!?! I went to another dr. who said I wasn't a candidate yet, but I thought he just wanted to sell me the capillus laser hat! I feel like everyone is staring at my hairline and it makes me insecure. I didn't think about shock loss.
  12. Hi Everyone, I spoke to the dr and he recommended 1200-1300 grafts. He said Fut is better results and cheaper and i will have to wait longer to get in for fue. About me, I teach martial arts (bjj) and have red light hair that i usually wear short. Fue price quote was $11,800 -1200grafts and 12500.00 for 1300 grafts. fut was 7500 and 8000 respectively for Dr Diep in northern california. Please let me know how this soundsabd any advice. thank you.
  13. Wow! I haven't been on this forum in a while and just saw this thread I started 13 years ago! I still want to get a transplant and would love some good doctor recommendations. I understand I shouldn't limit my search to the bay area but if there are some good doctors here I will check them out. I am willing to travel for a top doctor. I am mostly interested in my hairline.
