  1. No not at all...H&W over Diep if I were you. My point was that both those clinics...the doctor is either not involved in one or more critical aspect of the procedure. With Diep it is the graft placement process...with H&W it is the extractions and the graft placement process. This is taking nothing away from the techs at H&W who by all accounts do outstanding work and are probably better at their jobs then most clinics. All I’m saying is because especially because you need to make every graft count at this point, I would in addition to H&W consider one of the doctors with a heavily involved approach and see who I’m more comfortable with.
  2. H&W does solid consistently great work. But at this point you already had a procedure with a robot extracting your grafts, you then had a procedure with technicians extracting and placing your grafts. This is pretty much your last shot to get it right. If I were you I would also consider a doctor who is heavily involved in the whole procedure including extractions, incisions and the placement process. There are only a few in North America that I know of that operate like this.
  3. If you can get some good quality green tea and make a spray for your scalp with it. I’m not one that believes in odd recommended treatments but the trust me the green tea soak will get rid of the dryness and improve the condition of your scalp.
  4. That clinic is the perfect example actually. 1.2 million followers on Instagram and almost 450 google reviews with an average 5 star rating. It is total BS and manipulation to lure suckers that don’t do enough research. On the flip side look at Asmed who I’m pretty sure is by far the most popular clinic in Turkey and has only 5,500 followers on Instagram and less than 100 google reviews. Forget about dissecting the actual quality of their results of the work they do, any clinic that behaves in unethical and deceptive marketing practices like this should be ashamed. I wish google and Facebook would actually do more to stop this kind of behavior. It’s one thing for a restaurant to behave like this where the worst case scenario is you get suckered into having a bad meal but more online regulation is needed for medical type establishments performing surgeries that will effect people for the rest of their lives. Deceptive marketing happens on some online forums from US clinics too. On another US forum a clinic just posted a result insinuating that it was recent. I responded back with proof that this was actually done 7 years ago in 2013. The moderator didn’t approve my post though. Go figure. Everyone beginning their research should learn how to sniff out this kind of deceptive marketing and never consider any kind of medical or cosmetic facility that behaves like this.
  5. Love the design it really suits you. Those are some chunky temples there! I always say asmed is underrated with their temples they do a good job there where most clinics are too scared to touch them. Good luck with everything and grow well!
  6. @Legend007is out hookah up with girls half his age because of his awesome new locks! I envy him...he somehow dodged his way out of every shitty California clinic and ended up in one of the worlds best. I wish I was so lucky.
  7. If you can’t afford the Belgian clinics your best choice in Turkey is HLC. Why don’t you go with H&W in Canada though if you can afford them?
  8. Everything looks fine you’ve healed well. You’re about to shed the rest of the hairs and enter the 3 month waiting period before the action starts. You covered a very large area so keep that in mind and went a tad aggressive. It looks like you have a lot of multi hair grafts so that will help with density. You also have some in the front hairline which I don’t like to see but if it all grows well it won’t look too noticeable when grown out. Just be patient and stay busy to keep your mind off it (not easy I know). Good luck with everything I hope it grows well!
  9. How old are you? You don’t need hair restoration surgery you look fine.
  10. Honestly there is no way to know until 6 months from now when the majority of grafts that survived have started growing. I won’t lie to you it’s definitely not a good thing that these hair shafts shed this early looking like this. But I have seen cases on this forum before where guys shed like this and ended up with a good result. Either way there is nothing you can do now but take care of yourself and wait. Good luck.
  11. Your concerns aren’t unwarranted. The only difference between H&W and Dr. Diep is a technician extracts the grafts at H&W and Dr. Diep extracts the grafts himself. Technicians place the grafts at both clinics. Like it or not I am here to tell you that apart from a few doctors that are very involved in these procedures you are always going to entrust yourself to technicians although the techs at H&W are extremely well trained and probably do better work than most of the doctors in this horrible industry. If that makes you uneasy, some of the few highly experienced doctors in North America who are well known for being involved not only in extracting the grafts but placing them along with their techs and monitoring the whole process are Dr. Konior, Dr. Gabel and Dr. Cooley.
  12. First of all, congratulations for being smart and doing your research and being willing to travel to have your surgery by one of the elite surgeons in the USA. The fact is once you get a hair transplant especially at your age you need to be prepared for the strong possibility that you’ll more than likely want to get another one in the future as your hair loss continues to progress. You are on meds though which is a good thing it will stabilize and slow down your hair loss. Dr. K is an ethical doctor who will no doubt consider all this and judiciously plan your procedure. I wouldn’t worry if I were you but like I said hair loss is progressive and you need to be mentally prepared that you might want another procedure down the line. I would even go so far as to say you need to be prepared for the possibility that the procedure might not be as successful as you’d hoped and you may want to have another procedure to correct it....but the odds of that with the doctor you’ve chosen are extremely low.
  13. That is some crazy dedication! If you have a laz boy recliner it makes sleeping a heck of a lot easier. I don’t, so for 5 nights I slept sitting upright at the end of the couch with my legs laying on an ottoman and a nice travel neck pillow. I also put a heavy box on the seat to my right so I wouldn’t roll over at night. I wasn’t as concerned with scratching my grafts as I was rolling over on them and damaging them. Sure enough I found myself waking up in the middle of the night trying to roll to my right by the box stopped me. The clinic I went to provided me with Xanax to help sleep which it definitely did but in general the first 5 nights sucked until I could sleep on my back in my bed. You need to find the best way to get some sleep while staying a little upright so the fluids go down and you don’t move over on your grafts. Other than that every clinic varies in post op instructions so just follow your doctor’s instructions to a T and you’ll be fine. Good luck with everything.
  14. Don’t go to an unknown doctor in Turkey or anywhere. A bad hair transplant is much worse than naturally balding. You said money is tight right now so your budget shopping for a procedure that’s going to effect the rest of your life. Think about that. Either save up the money and go to an ethical doctor that does good work or buzz your head now since you said you like the way it looks, work out and you’ll see your confidence improve. If you are dead set on doing this procedure than take out a loan so you can go to a great doctor. People take out loans for stupid material things all the time but like I said this procedure will affect the rest of your life. And just so we’re clear, if you end up with a bad hair transplant the solution is not as simple as buzzing your head. You WILL have scars on the back of your head and on top where the hairs didn’t grow. You were smart enough to seek advice on here be smart enough to listen. Be careful and do more research.

    .

First of all take a deep breath. I guarantee you that whatever the final outcome you have enough grafts to get where you want to be in case you need a touch up. It looks like you’ve got growth and the work and design doesn’t look bad. You should post pre op pics and try taking better pictures of your hair from a normal angle with how you normally style it if you want to get advice on how it’s looking. You also mentioned the scarring is visible on your donor area? Again, better pictures would help. Did you get your medical file from them so you know what size punches were used? What red flags were there about the clinic that made you nervous?
  16. Hey @AftermathYou work for Dr. Hasson at all? You promote him on these forums so I’m just wondering Before someone pays the price is there any info we should Know. When he saw some of the bad work from fario did you end up removing some of it?
  17. You should stay the F away from LA. Love the city but You shouldn’t trust any doctor here to be able to help you out. Mostly nothing but unethical scum bags. Look for Dr. Gabel in Oregon or hasson/Wong up in Canada both 2 hour flights, less time than being stuck on the 405 during rush hour. This place is a cesspool of hacks.
  18. The only thing that is important is tons of genuine patient posted results. Have yet to find a patient who found recourse after a bad experience with a doctor thru one of those organizations.
  19. Great hairline design👌....as far as the gap you’re worried about I wouldn’t put too much nto it . Doesn’t dr rahal have you spray with fut Brown bottle as we’ll as vitamin e to keep them moistured ?
  20. Don’t beat yourself up, you’re not the only one.
  21. Yes I think it’s a good sign that you were able to remove the heavy scabs without dislodging the grafts. There’s nothing you can do now but wait.
  22. What’s done is done. You got excessive scabbing because they didn’t clean the blood well during the procedure. Were you able to gently release the scabs? When the scabs came off did you have a sort of buzz cut look that lasted for a few days before you started shedding or were there big gaps? It is an overly aggressive design. Hopefully you get good growth. Whatever happens don’t go back there.
  23. Did the second doctor you went to confirm with you that you had poor angulation on the grafts and enough scalp damage that scalp reduction was your best option? I don’t doubt you have some punctuate scarring where you didn’t get growth but I’m still struggling to figure out how that was recommended to you when I don’t see enough tissue damage to warrant that at least from the pics posted. That’s usually a last resort for guys who got mini grafts done 20 years and need to be repaired.
