  1. Honestly if your dead set on doing another procedure you should just go to H&W in my opinion. These new hair transplant rockstars and YouTube sensations and clinics with crazy marketing and artificially inflated reviews have come and gone but they’ve been at the top for 30 years. I think you mentioned you do risk analysis for a living and in my opinion it’s the least risky option.
  2. I like the cautious approach they are recommending to you. When they say they want to do it in “small sessions over several days after already scheduled interventions” it sounds like they’re willing to accommodate you a lot sooner then the crazy waiting list I’ve heard about with this doctor. It’s a tough decision even though his results look amazing because there has never been a documented case by a patient that went to him on this forum on a virgin head let alone a repair and it’s your last shot to get this right. You would be the first.
  3. How old are you? I agree with hairlosspa...don’t lower your hairline any more reinforce it and add grafts in the mid scalp if you really want to but truthfully it looks good in that pic with you slicking it back
  4. 1. What do they use for creating incisions? 2. How do they manage depth control with grafts and do the incision sites vary by follicular grouping? 3. Do they trim their grafts? 4. In patients that are more challenging cases with very dark thick hair and lighter skin with minor recession and no temple point work how do they approach it, do they target mostly multi unit hairs leading to the very edge with scattered singles at the front? How many singles would they want for an average case like that? 5. Do they regularly split multi hair grafts or do they prefer to keep the follicles in their natural groupings so they don’t sacrifice the yield? Thanks Melvin! Edit: crap I just realized I think I’m too late
  5. Bloody hell what a freakin result! I’m happy for you man! This is what a 90%+ yield looks like at asmed. I hope to get to where you’re at soon to be able to style my hair freely back like that.
  6. This looks great they’re growing in fine and you’re scalp had no issues healing. Those hairs are gonna thicken up like crazy in the next two months also. 👍
  7. If I was a betting man I would bet that Diep got this one right and it is gonna be a total success. Scar is looking really good this early and the grafts look nice, clean and dense. Did you get prp or acell or anything? Good luck with everything by the way. 👏
  8. When you use the advanced search feature you can narrow down results so much by checking “content title only” or “all keywords” if you’re using multiple words for example. Honestly like Melvin told you, the absolute best thing about this forum is the backlog of patient results and experiences whether positive or negative. All the answers are there if you can find them. Send PM’s to a lot of guys and ask them about their experience with their doctor. You’d be surprised how many guys who haven’t logged on in a long time will take the time to come back and answer you.
  9. If he aint that wowed by Dr. Hasson’s results you think he’s gonna like Dr. Ferreira?
  10. Wow what an amazing result from a doctor that obviously knows what he’s doing.
  11. @Portugal25 No what I meant was the cheaper chain clinics in the US the op is thinking about going to like Bosley and maxim hair. I’m explaining to him that if he’s sticking in the US a quality surgeon will cost him a few grand more but it’s cheaper then a lifetime of regret.
  12. As far as damaging your grafts I think your ok I wouldn’t worry. Just make sure you keep it clean and apply antiseptic. Definitely give Dr. Bloxham a call though he may recommend a tetanus shot if that was an old rusty nail.
  13. Honestly when you make a statement like that about two of the worlds best doctors then yes please show us.
  14. Trust me the extra money to go to a top surgeon is worth it. It will probably be around 15-20k. A lot of doctors have financing options. You won’t regret paying the extra money knowing you put your faith in a quality surgeon and you’ll know that every time you look in the mirror. Going to a cheaper chain clinic and ending up with a bad result and potentially nasty scar, you’ll regret that forever and wish you just shaved your head. Don’t take my word for it, use that search function at the top right and look for guys that got botched procedures and look at doctors posted repairs of guys that went to those kinds of clinics.
  15. It sounds like you’re in New York. Have you consulted with Dr. Bloxham yet? I don’t know of any reputable clinics in Eastern Europe or Latin America. Don’t budget shop for this procedure. If you really want to do surgery and don’t like the way you look with a buzzed head then find a good ethical surgeon and if you don’t have the money yet then save up for it.
  16. The second procedure they should have punched out the misdirected hairs in the temple area and gone for a less aggressive more angular and masculine look. Instead they attempted to camouflage it by going for an ultra aggressive straight hairline. That would require a lot more grafts and based on your thick hair caliber and lighter skin they should have known that. Don’t go back there. It took you two surgeries but it sounds like you’ve smartened up and you’re consulting with multiple ethical clinics. Just trust your gut on which doctor you think is looking out for your best interest.
  17. Clean work as always from Dr. Gabel...gonna be a nice result.
  18. Eyebrows are hard to do right so ya this is a great result.
  19. I think in the case of @dredd77 by all accounts the doctor did right by him. He followed up with a second procedure and offered to send him to a dermatologist. I didn’t like the way the rep was behaving in that thread though. It was very unprofessional. He was blaming the patient and practically accusing him of sabotaging his own poor results. It is definitely possible that the results were due to his physiology but the rep should understand that after everything @dredd77 went thru of course he was gonna be unhappy and vent his frustrations. All the rep should have done was state the support the doctor offered him and take the L and move on.
  20. Amazing how clean Dr. Konior’s work is post op. I looked like I went 12 rounds with Tyson Fury while you could barely tell this patient had anything done. You could always tell which doctors truly care enough to take the time to do it this methodically and the results show. Well done...I’m jealous.
  21. Did Dr. Ferreira tell you why he wanted you to grow the sides out for 1 & 1/2 months before the procedure?
  22. Konior is heavily involved and is highly ethical. Other docs in North America that stand out like that are Dr. Gabel and Dr. Cooley. Research their results and surgery protocols and if possible you should try and get evaluated in person just to get a trustworthy opinion. Then you can see who you’re most comfortable with. Just to clarify so I’m being real with you. I haven’t had procedure done by any of these doctors. I don’t like it when guys on this forum start throwing out names of doctors they’ve never had a procedure done with but because of your unique situation I’m trying to tell you to be cautious. I had a shitty procedure done by a non recommended doctor in LA. I have done extensive research and met with one of those doctors I recommended to you to get his opinion though and spoke to patients that went to him. It’s always better to speak to real patients of doctors and if possible go in for an person evaluation before scheduling the procedure and get a feel for the doctor and his surgical protocol. Then you can decide to go with H&W or another doc. I wish I had done that kind of research before my procedure.
