Did you ever consider micro pigmentation into the scars? Im always concerned about using donor follicles to go back into the donor area in younger patients who may need more transplants for thinning/balding areas in the future. Plus if you were not pleased with the results you could always have grafts placed into the scars. FUE into the temporal areas does work well. I know Dr. Lorenzo and he does excellent work and have also heard good things about the other Dr you mentioned. Good luck!

I thought that if the moderators had a concern with a post they would private message the person making the post and give them the opportunity to make the proper changes. All forums do have have some rules and regulations. -
sebaceous cyst removal from crown
Dr. Glenn Charles replied to Mikey1970's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Another good option would be to go to a reputable hair restoration surgeon. I have removed many of these cysts from patients scalps and the incision needed is very small and should not cause balding. -

Dr. Glenn Charles replied to stinger99's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I agree that good diet leads to better overall health and faster recovery from surgery. All the supplements mentioned above are potentially beneficial and you might want to add some Zinc and Selenium. -
FUT donor discomfort?
Dr. Glenn Charles replied to ConfusedRose's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
It can take several months for a scar to form and therefore it is important for a patient to minimize unnecessary tension/stress in that area for a few months. I do think that exercising carefully can be resumed in 2-3 weeks post-op. -

Definitely avoid chin to chest motion (Hyperflexion of neck) for 2-3 months post-op to avoid stretching of scar. -
Toppik after FUE
Dr. Glenn Charles replied to Ramez's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I will allow my patients to apply Toppik two weeks after the procedure. However, I also insist that they wash it out before going to bed. -
That is still a controversial topic. Some docs feel it can have a negative effect on results while other think it will not play a roll or are not sure. I do think that testosterone supplementation can increase conversion of testosterone to DHT and may accelerate the hair loss process in those who have the gene fore male pattern baldness.

Catching up transplanted hairlines
Dr. Glenn Charles replied to NAVI's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I suggest at age 28 if you are considering having work done in the hair line you stay conservative. You possible still have many years remaining of further hair loss and want to save as much donor hair for later if necessary. (Hopefully not but must always consider worst case scenario) -
How effective is FUE-into-scar?
Dr. Glenn Charles replied to JeffC45's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Placing FUE grafts into scar tissue is much less predictable than grafting into virgin scalp tissue. I have had some remarkable cases and also some that did not take as well. A lot depends on the quality of the patients hair. Thinner/finer hairs generally have a lower survival rate compared to medium and coarse hair types. -

Dr. Glenn Charles replied to JimmyPage's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Unfortunetely this does happen occasionally. I many of these cases the hairs do become softer and more manageable over time.
