  1. Its quite understandable that the back of the head hair is thicker and more calibrated. However The hair has trouble holding mositure, is kinda dry and rough feeling, like its brittle. It also doesn't handle heat to well and is easily damaged by heating tools i.e blowdryer. I am 14 months post-op so maybe by 18 months it will start to smooth itself out. I don't recall having so much of an issue with this at 7-8 months, but I guess the hairs began to mature more and more. I went to a highly reputable surgeon, I've also seen people with this issue a year or more but then they seem to never follow up after the 18 month mark.
  2. I am not thinning, I simply just covered my temple peaks ive had all my life. So its not because my hair is thinning making the transplanted grafts look thicker. They are genuinely coarser and brittle also kinky in nature.
  3. I am now 14 months post-op from my hairtransplant where I had 1850 grafts put into my hairline. Overall the coverage is great, I will eventually go for a additional 300 grafts to strength one of the sides to match the other. The major problem I am having is the texture of the transplanted hair. They are so much coarser, thicker, wiry, brittle, and dry so much faster when wet. It is almost impossible to style because they tend to be stiff. Can anyone comment or has/had this issue? does it resolve?
  4. Thanks Spidey, I still have shockloss in the higher up areas that should start coming back in by month 5-6, I also took the worst lighting to do it in to show the worst case scenario of it. I am hoping it picks up for the 5th and 6th month I always see it being night and day when looking at other peoples results. I guess my main concern is density and hoping I can spike my hair without it being see through, and if what the doctor said is correct I had great than 50% yield. I hope it works out, I will update month 5.
  5. Whats worrying me is in the 7th photo you can see the right side and then the left side is just looking like it is not as dense maybe hairs still need to sprout, also I have a sorta bald spot on the right temple that does not seem to be filling in, although im a few days short of 4 months, I'm hoping it will start to sprout by month 5.
  6. I am coming up to my 4 month mark on Dec 18th, 2015. I had 1800 grafts implanted to lower my hairline slightly and fill in the temple peaks. I am hoping I achieve good density as I wanted to be able to spike my hair as opposed to always seeing people slick their hair back after their transplants have grown in. I know its still early, but I cant help think that the left side is not going to fill in like the right side has on the hairline. I also have a thin patch on the right side that I feel is not growing or didn't have enough grafts put in. I have attached my before pics with the pics of today. Let me know what you think.
