SMP By HIS HAIR London after 3 years

The ink that company is rumoured to at least contain, Talens drawing ink which says 'NOT SUITABLE FOR TATTOOING' on the bottle. I've had people in the SMP industry confirm this. When I questioned the CEO of that company around the ink they use, it seemed to hit a pressure button. He raised his voice, used bad language etc and said due to 'Health and safety' he can't disclose what's in the ink HIS use. He then went on to say that he gets the ink in big bottles from the USA and it's FDA approved. I can write a book on the amount of dangerous, destructive and even deadly things 'approved' by the FDA.

Yep that is definitely the Paul Clarke look. Signature. Suits you well buddy and completely natural.

I have another laser session in September. Bear in mind this is only week 3 post 1st laser with the ATV 755 wavelength. I had 1 session with 1064 before and it shifted nothing. I'm told real fading starts at 4 weeks onwards, plus another session in sept. Then I've booked for rework in late Nov/Dec subject to fading.

I will not have any goofy hairlines or side profiles. I may go a little lower than yours with the hairline though, and go for a skin fade look, which when pulled off by the right practitioner, looks unreal. It all depends how one Carrys themselves, how they dress etc. This will play a big part in the smp style.

Final laser session complete. To wipe this off, I discovered the hard way that the QUANTA Q PLUS C is the most efficient laser. It literally erased everything in one sitting. So I wasted the other 2 laser sessions with lasers nowhere as good as the QUANTA Q PLUS C. This laser is gold standard in tattoo removal, used by hospitals.

New procedure of SMP due in 8 weeks

Why are you doing lasers? To remove the hair transplants or SMP?

Man this is one crazy thread. I've been lurking in this forum for a long time but just had to post to give you props for sticking through the process of repairing the bad SMP results. This is like my nightmare scenario and I'm glad I found this as I start doing my research on SMP.

Wow man, so happy for you.  I opened this thinking your first post looked terrible.  Glad you persevered and did not give up.

I am a bit concerned that my FUE isnt dense enough on my hairline.  I still plan to have my hair decently long...will SMP to fill in the density help even if I have most of my hair longer or will it look obvious/ weird?

Laser that removed my previous bad SMP is the Quanta Q+C laser. This is the most efficient laser to wipe SMP off. I tried other lasers that were not successful. I also sought advice from Dermatologists and skin specialists who advised Alexandrite lasers are dangerous for use on the scalp.

Quanta Q+C only way to go. Here in London, hospital laser removal Dr's only use the Quanta. It is Gold standard.

I had mine removed by Isabelle van Rijn at beautycarenederland in the Netherlands. She is extremely experienced, over a decades experience with lasering SMP and tattoos. She also has an smp clinic. Cannot recommend her enough.

Can a laser be used to lighten an area like the hairline? Do you mind sharing how much the new SMP cost you?

My SMP looked great at first. Then it faded away 4 months later. The next session they went darker and now it's quite dark. This time it's not fading away.

Hi smp

Yes in theory smp can be lightened however, it is always best to wipe off and start again. You want to maximise any existing hair you have and have a smp practitioner who does small dots. Smaller the needle more real the results look.

Where are you based?

With the Quanta Q+C one session can be enough if you require rework, as the canvas does not have to be 100% clear. You can get it to around 95% clear if you go to the right laser tech. I went to beautycarenederland to see Isabelle van Rijn. You'll find nobody better for laser.

Had my 4th and final amp session yesterday. Pics taken yesterday still a bit red but redness gone down today. Procedure was painless. I would highly recommend elixir as he is from a barbering background originally and has had a hair transplant like me too.

Interesting thread and great results!

just been thinking about SMP recently after giving up on FUE

From what I gather on this thread, All SMP will fade in 3 years?

What made you choose Elixir London to do your procedure? Is it a specific SMP practitioner who works there that you recommend?

This looks much better. What a journey it has been for you man

I also had surgery with Dr Feriduni. I must say I can't see those 2K grafts on the frontal anywhere. Did the powerful laser kill them?

I hope this time your pigments don't fade and you don't have to go through any anxiety in public ever again, I know the feeling.

Take care

"Imo even the BEST SMP doesn't look natural or that good."

Really? I'd argue it looks very natural if done properly and far more natural than a shaved HTSMP makes a massive difference in the way a person looks. I've seen it shave years off of someone's appearance. Having a hairline to frame the face is the reason why. I also think it looks far more natural than most hair transplants when they are shaved down. Here are some examples:

I'm sorry but none of these but the first case look "natural"

I can spot these cases from 100 feet away and know that they have been inked

They don't look bad but they certainly don't look natural at all. Hairlines are to regular except the first case where I would have a hard time telling.

3rd session complete. 1 more to go next week then all done! I cannot recommend Elixir pigmentation enough. IMG_20191231_190919_734.thumb.jpg.33c87c63fbbcbf15ed8c275f1281e3cf.jpg

Great work there!

I wanted FUE and lined up a place in Turkey. At the same time I was also looking in to SMP. Turns out that a transplant might not work too well for me as I have under active thyroid. I went to welfare abroad and in fairness they wanted me during medical screening.

For a few months on and off I chatted to Jay at Elixir SMP.  I finally paid my deposit this week and turned my back on a transplant.

I recall seeing this post on google when i first searched for SMP UK. I also spoke to a few other places and Brandwood clinic etc.

Glad you sorted your SMP out though mate. Congrats.

Only half of those look good. The other half look meh or even bad. The biggest give away are ones with the perfect hairline that's too symmetrical and too dense. This place is by far the best I've seen in SMP,
