  1. I’m not an expert by any means and everything I’m about to say is just my opinion. for 99% of relationships, the initial “spark” is the physical attraction between two people. Looks basically help get ur foot in the door, it’s not the end all be all. As men, we are heavily looks biased. For many women (Mid 20s and above), u need to meet a minimum looks threshold, then other things come into play: your personality, confidence, status, etc. As women start to fall in love with their partner, looks take less of priority. Of course you can’t just assume you can now become a slob and not have good hygiene and not take care of yourself. there are exceptions to everything in life however and there are some women who are heavily looks biased. But that raises the question, did she love you bc of your looks only? If the answer is yes, that relationship wasn’t meant to last anyway. We all get older and less attractive as we age so it’s very unreasonable to expect someone to retain their looks as they get older.
  2. It actually has a 22 hour half life when topically applied. Many people get away with once a day application. I’ve seen several success stories. Twice a day is likely slightly better if I had to guess but by how much who knows.
  3. Can u share your doctors name? I think the work looks pretty good
  4. The cool thing about this site is that it remains pretty fair. Just in the last year two recommended physicians were removed because of various issues. On other sites that I wont mention, there’s heavy censorship all over the place. part of that is due to better moderating as the previous moderator was flat out horrible (all my opinion of course )
  5. The doctor really pushing it is McGrath out of Texas. I very highly doubt a mediocre hair transplant physician like him would be able to come out with a revolutionary treatment. I mean what are his credentials? Oh yeah he’s a D.O. likely trained in nothing regarding hair. he was a huge proponent of pushing fut and going against fue, but funny enough now he’s doing fue as well.
  6. Yep he had an fut. had an “artistic” tattoo to cover the scar but it looks like he may have removed it. His hairline after the fut was crazy blocked off and low. I think he had it undone with maybe electrolysis to a more natural height and shape. Looks decent now
  7. Art classes in college? Um...he went to medical school in the Caribbean (fact).
  8. the reality is that the OP looks exponentially better with a framed face and good coverage that is very age appropriate. It’s shaved many years off his appearance. But most importantly, he’s happy with the results, and rightfully so. to the posters that are yelling “but density!”: this is the reality of hair transplants. I’d place this result up very high especially given the patients starting point. To any norwood 6 that doesn’t think this is a good result, I highly recommend you stay away from HTs and find another solution.
  9. Dr Diep is one of those doctors that has some outstanding results posted here and on YouTube. He is a marketing machine on YouTube and I feel like many of his patients find him on there. with that said, I think the reality of this doctor is a little more clear on this forum. The past few years there have been many complains regarding donor management and now recipient issues such as the ones already mentioned. i think he designs some great hairlines but has some of the most unnatural temple point restorations I’ve ever seen (non African hair) I consulted with him over the phone and it was quite pleasant for what it’s worth. But in this industry results are what matter
  10. OP listen to this guy. Do not rush into this surgery. Dr Yates is a former Bosley doctor.
  11. 1. Why is it not required? What if a patient wants a gelled/wet hairstyle? 3. Isn’t the purpose of FUE to be able to cut your hair short? 5. This cannot be stressed enough and more clinics need to be transparent about this 8. I’d be careful with this statement. There are 10 year finasteride studies showing efficacy for a majority of patients but it’s far from a drug that will stop hair loss forever. 9. there is also dutasteride
  12. Personally I’d stay away from Pakistan and India. Dr path in Thailand seems very ethical and does decent work. Stay away from turkey outside of a few doctors/clinics such as hlc and keser. Europe has many excellent options in Belgium, Spain, Portugal, etc.
  13. There’s differing opinions on this. I’ve heard people get off fin while they are trying to conceive. Others say it does not matter. I believe there was a rep on here by the name of spex that claimed he had healthy children on fin and maybe even dut. I would definitely talk to your doctor about this and maybe even an endocrinologist to get their opinion.
  14. @Fluffhead how often are you using Nizoral and which strength? Spex has stated in the past that overusing nizoral could cause shedding
  15. Cool thanks. Did they tell you how many grafts you have left?
  16. Looking good. How’s the donor? Did hlc tell you what your total donor capacity is?
  17. Thanks for keeping us in the loop through all these years. How many grafts total have you had and how much has the journey roughly costed?
