  1. Scabs will almost certainly not be coming off on the second day, even if you went in for a wash, cleaning etc. Again there is a possibility that the photos are somehow so bad I am not seeing what is going on, but even in terms of refinement and the size of the scabs, bloodied areas etc the work to me does not appear of a high standard, I doubt I'm missing any visibility of entire grafts somehow. Also for getting 2000 grafts in the crown, it would be idiotic not to shave the recipient area and the only reason I can think of why they didn't is to make it easier to get away with charging you for more grafts than were placed. What makes me suspect this moreso is the fact that if I compare these two photos from two month post-first op to final result of the first op, again it looks like you have had substantially less than 2900 grafts yielded. Perhaps around 500-1000 maximum. For example if I showed 99% of the posters here these two photos on a fake account and told them that this was pre-op first procedure, and the second photo the first day of my first op, they would 100% believe it without a second thought. Again I'm not guaranteeing anything, but from these (bad) photos I feel very confident of what I'm saying. I would absolutely take what I'm saying into serious consideration. Did the doctor take high quality before and after photos with high resolution and detail visible? You need to find them and take a look.
  2. If fin, keto shampoo, laser, derma and lipogaine minox don't grow hair for you (from the sound of it you're already almost completely hairless on top?), don't blow a cent on PRP because its virtually assured you'll see no benefit. If you have the money to even consider blowing $5500 on PRP, take your money and consult HnW or Rahal (both on the cheaper end also) for the potential of a large FUT procedure for yourself. All of these treatments you mention actually cost a reasonable amount of money and require consistency, imo drop every single one except for finasteride, and get a transplant.
  3. For anyone that is crazy enough to believe that there are 2000 grafts here, I have a bridge to sell you. Good photo quality or otherwise, OP clearly did not get the number of grafts he thinks he did. No amount of trying to explain through other means will get around this.
  4. Hairline looks terrific, but imo this is a perfect example of why temple work should be a last resort for someone with serious recession issues to the point hairline work wouldn't be natural without it. There is a giant difference between the texture of the transplanted temple hair and the natural temples that imo someone off the streets could pick out. It also draws attention to the different texture of the transplanted hairline, which usually isn't an issue because it is naturally different than the temple hair. If the temples are going to be transplanted, the entire area should be rebuilt such as not to leave such a wide contrast immediately visible such as in this case. The bottom of the temple as in the design markings has been left natural and the upper area transplanted which makes this an issue.
  5. I don't know for sure but in my honest, and educated judgement from looking at endless results your second procedure post-op looks like it has only a few hundred grafts. If 70% of that 2850 went in the crown, I am 99.999% sure you did not get 2000 grafts there, almost certainly under 1000. Also strongly suspect you lost a lot more hair after dropping Rogaine. As I said I think its virtually undeniable you weren't given as many grafts as you're told unless the photo is somehow completely missing everything (admittedly the pics aren't great) and after dropping Rogaine you have lost more hair than the second procedure could have ever given you with whatever small amount of grafts you got in reality.
  6. Its things one might take for granted pre-hairloss particularly after the second procedure, simply being able to go about my day without considering hairloss, I vividly remember going to the cinema once to see one of my favourite films prior to any transplants at 22 and spending virtually every minute thinking about my hair or judging the hairlines of those in the film. Another particularly memorable moment was going to pick up a package from the post-office for my 55 year old father as a 22 year old and the person at the counter asking if I was his brother. Even things like ordering a coffee can be a nightmare when you're a 22 year old with a diffused NWV3. I'm sure some people might think it sounds silly and bring up "its just confidence brah" (it isn't), but things like walking down the street or being on the bus and getting smiles or looks from attractive girls, same situation when ordering a coffee etc. Prior to surgery ordering food/drink a girl serving would noticeably look away or refuse eye contact, be visibly unhappy, awkward and unsure of how to handle themselves. Its truly like living in a different world where in one everyone is an asshole and dislikes, ignores or just wants you out of their way, in the other everyone is friendly, respectful and helpful. Same with long term friends, both male and female. They'd be less interested in hanging out, less honest especially emotionally (particularly girls), awkward and constantly avoid eye contact. When you go from having perfect hair at 18, to being virtually bald at 22, and back to being in a similar range to your average 24 year old subsequent to that, the way people judge and treat you based on hair becomes extremely noticeable. So its largely not having to think about hairloss everyday, and secondly being treated as an equal or respectable person by others, such that you no longer feel inhibited by hairloss, when I clearly was while enduring it. Both easily understandable when fundamentally I looked ugly, unintelligent and a sorry sight without hair (and whether anyone can admit it that's the same for most people), with hair I look slightly above average. The reality is that's what it gets down to, hairloss ages you a decade minimum, looks incredibly unattractive, makes you look less intelligent and friendly, often implies sickness or bad genetics, and can suddenly make certain facial features stand out and appear ugly when prior they looked normal.
  7. A few snippets around 10 months. Don’t think there has been noticeable improvement since roughly 8 months. Overall very happy, constantly amazed at how good my hair is compared to before my first hair transplant. Still niggling desire to perfect things, I think 300 multis in the crown and 1200 in the hairline + adding maximum density to the weaker side of the frontal third would be worthwhile. I’d probably consider a stick and place doctor like Keser or Konior. I’ll probably give it 3-5 years minimum and see how I maintain on fina
  8. Compare the size of the hairs in the snippets at the bottom to the punch wounds. Also notice the circled areas of punch scars where multiple scars blend into each other. I'd bet a million dollars that there are at least some adjacent hairs that were transected when the punch size is that large. I'm not saying hes a bad doctor, nor that the result will be bad because you'll very likely get a good recipient result and after 12 months the donor likely will not be cosmetic issue, but Bisanga for example has done a study on this issue of transecting nearby follicles through large punches and its visible through common sense and simply looking at the photos. Its absolutely going to make a larger impact overall than a smaller punch would, its basic laws of reality. If various punch scars are blending into each other and they appear as big as multiple separated follicles, this is not going to allow the absolute maximum amount of lifetime grafts from the donor. A larger punch may allow simpler means of getting high quality individual grafts, but it will scar and it absolutely can damage separate follicles to those targeted, its visible above if you consider it logically and analyse it visually.
  9. "The next time you are with the girl, pull out her hair...see if she likes it." Chances are she probably will.
  10. Some surgeons in India definitely tend towards consistently implanting at lower densities than doctors in the West for example, even when they are working on Caucasian patients so I would definitely consider this. They can get away with it due to the hair type they're dealing with and a result on an Indian can still look cosmetically impressive, but often I find its an issue for Caucasian's who go there. Its typically visible even to someone with an untrained eye. In terms of the Eugenix cases I have seen this doesn't appear to be the case however and they're likely doing the best work I've seen from the country, but you should make your own comparisons and find those of your own race that have gone to your intended clinic to look at.
  11. Freitas uses techs for extraction, Couto does himself.
  12. OP, imo I would consult surgeons who are top-tier at small refined FUE hairline cases like Keser or Konior.
  13. When I see people look at a case like this and say its all fine when clearly there are ample multis in the hairline, the density is bad, the placement is unnatural and all over the place with hairs placed in at random at the front in a low density fashion for no particular reason, the angles are off and there is obvious cobblestone scarring, I continue to scratch my head at the people losing their minds saying that ASMED can't produce a good hairline. This thread is proof that people have zero ability to objectively judge hairline aesthetics as much as they want to pretend, period. If this was produced anywhere in Turkey, people would be shitting on this result. I mean for god sake, at least on the multigraft issue I'd expect people to be able to see an issue.
  14. There's data suggesting that 0.25mg of finasteride has similar efficacy and effect on DHT levels to 1mg, I'd get get the 1mg tablet and quarter it to see if that makes a difference. The peak effect of the drug in your body won't change whether you take it daily, every 2, 3 etc so I suspect that won't change any issues you might have. Little good data on this though its mostly trial and error and hearsay.
  15. IMO from what I’ve experienced and discussed with multiple doctors that have prescribed it for me the situation is far simpler. The doctors I talked to all said it was one of their most prescribed drugs, and a few times a year they’d have a person come back mentioning side effects. Roughly a few %. This aligns with the studies suggesting anywhere from 2-8%. The truth is most people aren’t at all susceptible to any sides whatsoever, and another small group of people are extremely susceptible. My experience was a large increase in sex drive for the first month, and back to normal after that. Over two years down the track I can’t say I’ve lost any more hair despite closing in on a NW5 as a 22 year old and I’ve experienced zero side effects. If you have sides I’d definitely come off, or maybe try 0.25mg as I have done to begin with.
  16. Very much agree. It is what it is though, hard to expect clinics to do any different but people can always make sure they do extensive research of patient posted results.
  17. You can call it whatever you like, at the end of the day its about accountability in an area where people are spending significant sums of money. If someone posts a result that is 12 months in with zero growth and a surgeon doesn't offer a touchup, refund or anything at all, then the leverage is important and a surgeon ought to be aware their reputation is at stake. The entire point of the forum is accountability, there's nothing unethical about being aware of this when dropping ten grand or more on surgery. Also strongly agree with Melvin's point in that its also unfair to a surgeon to post a result you're not happy with a name drop with before consulting them, and likely an independent surgeon before doing this. By leaving the name out, you can get a broad variety of opinions from forum goers, along with perhaps another surgeon elsewhere to take back to the surgeon at 12 months if you're still unhappy with the result and are looking for a remedy. Someone might come in and post a result at five months they're unhappy with (and I've seen this before) and name drop the surgeon, already leaving a permanent mark that people newly researching transplants might see and instantly be put off by without having any understanding of the way a procedure works or the time it takes for full results. I'm also not saying at 6 months you should be telling your doctor "if it doesn't turn out ok you're getting shit on all over the internet", but a smart consumer is going to be as fair as possible, wait twelve months, discuss with their doctor at any point if they're ever uncomfortable about their current result, and consult various external opinions before putting the surgeon in a bad light without confirmation. If at that point they're not willing to do anything, it will have been very helpful to have kept available leverage and good relationship with the surgeon prior to that.
  18. If you don’t put the doctors name you can still get opinions to refer back to them to make a case. You can then explain that if they don’t remedy a bad result you will make everything public and complain about them in every place possible. You lose this leverage if you make their name public from the outset. That’s the smart version anyway. Some people might just not know the forum rules, be worried they’re misinterpreting something or don’t want to insult the doctor without getting opinions first.
  19. I don’t have access to the good camera anymore and at this length my hair gets very curly so the hairline isn’t exposed. Can’t say I’ve noticed a difference since 7.5 months. Anyway this is how it looks atm. Planning on buzzing it in a few weeks.
  20. Yes however they focused most of the added density on one side and the other could still do with more grafts imo. But with wet hair or under harsh bathroom light the difference between the new areas of hairline and previously transplanted with added density is visible. The other side which most of the density was added is literally perfect, or very close to it.
  21. I would definitely consult Lorenzo, he’d be a good fit I think. Cinik of course you’re not going to be getting the best service in the world for those prices, but in terms of the procedure itself I do think largely he has an effective and reasonably consistent system in place. If I had serious budget issues I would consider him with more research. I wouldn’t disregard Rahal completely if price isn’t a huge issue to you, but if I remember the graft quote was in my opinion too low.
  22. Honestly in your situation the main surgeons I would be considering are Erdogan or Hasson/Wong if you were inclined to go for FUT. Knowing your situation it is an issue of coverage, no one else is doing the huge FUE graft numbers I think best suit you in one go. I'd also definitely look at Lorenzo for FUE although I think he maxes out at 3000 grafts for one procedure, but you could do the crown/midscalp and hairline spread 6 months apart. He also has many cases on below average donors with people requiring extensive coverage.
  23. This would be a fair enough comment if not for the fact that OP went to one of the most expensive surgeons in the world. Plenty of top-tier surgeons at significantly cheaper rates, many would be better off selecting an elite surgeon like Hasson/Wong who are relatively inexpensive for their FUT work if it meant they could afford a second surgery. I’m also not suggesting that is usually a “requirement”, but rather virtually no one gets perfect results in a single pass, or even one that can’t be significantly improved usually. It’s just a fact. Obviously time factors, budget, location all come into this too but it should be a consideration and the vast majority of people would be better off budgeting for multiple procedures. OP got a great result however and certainly doesn’t need more work at this point. But always room for improvement.
