  1. If you're married with 2 kids and have a good job then you're in a good position to decide not to have a transplant. The fact that you've looked for 3 years at getting a transplant and then decide against it on ludicrous reasoning is a thread that didn't really need to be posted however and didn't have anything to offer. I'm 22, so in my case yes it is a big deal, however I have had a transplant. In your circumstances I think it sounds like you've made the right choice, however don't be so narcissistic to think that's whats best for you is best for others, or that they are "weak" to worry about their hair. Trying to better yourself isn't the slightest bit weak.
  2. "I went bald and accepted it, I'm a stronger person now" "I lost my job and live on the street, I'm a stronger person now" "My testicles fell off and I accepted it, I'm a stronger person now" "I'm a strong person, I've accepted how pathetic my life is and don't even care" Unfortunately you have got things reversed, someone who settles for mediocrity and a decrease in their quality of life when they have the ability to fix it is the one who is pathetic, not the one who puts in effort to better themselves. One who cares about being the best version of themselves is the stronger person, not one who settles for something which negatively impacts their life or image.
  3. I'm not sure how asking for bad FUE results from certain doctors who do regular megasessions is off track. If you cannot find bad FUE megasessions results from doctors like Ferudini and Erdogan who have done thousands of procedures (and posted hundreds) and provide links to these then clearly there is an issue with the argument that FUE is effectively a dud method. Obviously the vast majority of megasessions (and successful megasessions) come from FUT, but why is there this need for some strip surgeons to reject outright FUE when clearly there are some doctors regularly producing FUE megasessions with good results. And if this isn't the case, then how do some like Erdogan post hundreds with additional hundreds from forum goers with great results, and no one can link me a bad one.
  4. Sorry that you have to deal with someone who has actually studied philosophy so is able to call you out on this. Poor baby isn't king of the world like his daddy who got him into an ivy-league college said so.
  5. If it is so easy to find a bad Erdogan and Ferudini result, then find one. You never provide evidence, everything you say you assume to be self-explanatory. "I'm a laywer who went to an ivy-league, every argument I make is valid and sound" Grow up. Blatant moron.
  6. Never knew this forum was so filled with philosophical illiterates. Also I haven't come across a single bad Erdogan result with visual evidence and believe me I've looked, so I would appreciate the links. Please go ahead and point out the straw mans too, analogical reasoning does not equate to this. Your non-sequitur comment is also nonsensical. "You're also entitled to not agree with me if I say the sky is blue. And a series of anecdotal evidence- a few good mass fue sessions- doesn't damage his argument. In fact, he addresses this. You've also introduced a false equivalency with your crap analogy so good on you Mr. High School diploma." This is an example of a straw-man. When did I say anything like this? I haven't even argued against FUT being the better surgery option for maximising yield and donor management because I agree with Feller that it is and the evidence suggests so, however when you resort to appeal to authority fallacies (and don't even know what one is) then you come across as moronic. Funny how again rather than SHOWING your evidence for understanding logic you just bring up "I'm a lawyer broseph". Titles over facts, and idiotic arguments.
  7. Still you don't understand logic. Calling someone a "goddamn idiot" isn't an argument, it's just an insult. At least you made me laugh my ass off seeing as you don't know what the most basic logical fallacy is. Thanks for that. If you're going to an ivy league, I feel sorry for you because you're reprehensibly stupid when it comes to logic. If doctor Feller tells you to rub goat shit on your penis to aid your hair transplant growth is it a logical argument just because he's an authority on the subject? Again, this is logic 101, maybe when you finish your subject you'll understand. An argument is functional if the facts are correct and the conclusion stems from the premises. Just because an authority claims something doesn't make it factual. How hard is this to understand you indoctrinated imbecile? Still waiting on those "ken doll" Erdogan and Feriduni results you mentioned.
  8. Obviously your comment was entirely idiotic and you don't have a clue what you are talking about, but it should also be mentioned that Keser does the manual extractions, incisions and implantations himself. Try not to outright lie next time jackass.
  9. Still waiting on those links to results.
  10. First of all I didn't call Feller retarded just because I used the word in the same sentence in relation to his logic; your English comprehension skills are atrocious. "A logically valid argument from authority grounds a claim in the beliefs of one or more authoritative source(s), whose opinions are likely to be true on the relevant issue. Notably, this is a Bayesian statement -- it is likely to be true, rather than necessarily true. As such, an argument from authority can only strongly suggest what is true -- not prove it." You clearly have no understanding of logic. As this definition shows, Just because Feller asserts as an expert that non doctors can't make claims on transplants doesn't make it true, it only suggests it is the case. If an FUE doctor such as Erodgan claims FUE is better, you're claiming that because he is an authority he is correct, but then you'd also be saying that because Feller is an authority saying FUT is better that Feller is also correct. Again, you clearly know nothing about logic or philosophy. It is the argument and facts that matter, not the one saying it. Here is an example akin to what I'm saying: "In 1923, leading American zoologist Theophilus Painter declared, based on poor data and conflicting observations he had made,[31][32] that humans had 24 pairs of chromosomes. From the 1920s to the 1950s, this continued to be held based on Painter's authority,[27][33][34][32] despite subsequent counts totaling the correct number of 23.[31][35] Even textbooks[31] with photos showing 23 pairs incorrectly declared the number to be 24[35] based on the authority of the then-consensus.[36][27]"
  11. Ok well I'd be glad to see them. Post links.
  12. I find jarring that the vast majority of Feller's videos particularly the one he just posted are very informative for the average patient. Really wish he could just name and accept the European FUE surgeons that are doing vastly better FUE work than him and 95% of other American doctors. The first step is to mention these doctors by name and acknowledge comments mentioning Ferudini, Erdogan, Bisanga, Keser and other Europeans doing substantially better work than American doctors.
  13. And in saying all that Dr. Feller has consistently put out great information for anyone interested in transplants and creates great results himself. Ultimately FUE is better in Europe because wages are lower and techs and doctors end up with more experience with it. I appreciate how this would upset American doctors who cannot compete, and that Feller is also invaluable at leading people not to go to chop shops and look at results from forum goers and learn about the procedures but that doesn't make his criticisms of FUE accurate. I invite EVERYONE to compare the FUE cases on the forums for everyone to see of Dr Feller and compare them to the results of Dr. Keser, Dr Erdogan, and Dr. Feriduni. See for yourself who is getting the better results. Then compare the Feller FUT cases to the FUE cases of doctors I mentioned. No assertions from myself here, but see what you think.
  14. Another thing I would mention is that whenever I see others bring up the results of master European FUE surgeons such as Erdogan, Lorenzo, Lupanzula and Feriduni to Dr. Feller this in particular sets him off. He loves to outright lie and say "no one is producing great FUE megassessions" but when evidence to the contrary is provided, he will outright no respond to it and NEVER mention European doctors by name, most likely because he fears them. This is an issue I have seen with Dr. Rassman on the Reddit forums too, when he outright claimed to not know who Dr. Erdogan (Vice president of World FUE institute) or Dr. Lorenzo (Head of the World FUE institute) were. This is a blatant lie and just oozes fear for doctors who are providing a better FUE service for a lower cost than any American doctor so attain Voldemort status and must not be named. The evidence is clear that FUT is the better procedure for long term management of the donor area, however it would be nice to stop lying about yields and acknowledge good results of great European FUE surgeons, (and actually admit to knowing who they are and mentioning their name) We all know they're taking clients away from American surgeons, but the fact is they're doing a better job (for half the price or less), and the first step for American surgeons to get some of these patients back is to admit they aren't as skilled and refine their procedure, or perhaps go to Europe and learn from the masters.
  15. Nice appeal to authority fallacy Dr. Feller, one would expect a doctor would have better logic than a retarded 10 year old but there you go. Scientists and doctors wonder why some conservatives and Republicans lack any respect for them, this is a perfect example of why. Facts don't matter in your eyes, just your word, because apparently you are God.
  16. I think the crux of why your post is terrible is this "Be warned if your only slight reeceding Norwood 2/3 and your not happy your greed for hair could backfire and cause the rest of the surrounding hair to permently fall out behind." Just pure pseudo-science. If you have a legitimate argument against transplants, you wouldn't have to resort to falsehoods. Your comment about migranes is another outright lie and makes no scientific sense. If you're fine with lowering the standard of the physical attractiveness and careers of the women you date, looking 10 years older and being less attractive to potential employers due to image issues, then go ahead, but don't kid yourself into thinking that the vast majority who go to great surgeons don't lead much better lives. Transplants are all about stealing a few extra years back for your youth; 2-3 procedures over a few decades is an easy choice for drastically improving your quality of life.
  17. Dr. Farjo is considered quite behind the times when it comes to FUE and is substantially more expensive than the not so far away Belgian and Turk FUE masters. +1 wouldn't reccomend the non shaved FUE, it's slower, more expensive, usually the yield is lower and it makes it harder to place the incisions effectively. The best hairline doctor in my opinion is without a doubt Dr. Keser in Istanbul, but he only does 500-700 grafts a day which might be a problem. Erdogan in Istanbul is getting equivalent if not better results than the Belgians for a much cheaper price, but Lupanzula and Bisanga are also great doctors.
  18. He said the same thing to me. I've been on it for 5 months I think and haven't really noticed any difference in my hair. My parents are adamant that the crown already has improved a bit but I didn't have photos from before I started to check. He also didn't seem to think minoxidil was particularly effective.
  19. 10 day photos that I sent back to the clinic in harsh light. Still a little bit of scabbing. My crown is fucking awful looking at it when shaved, I'll probably go back when I can and get 1500 grafts or so shoved in there and maybe a little more in the hairline if it needs.
  20. They said I should have another 6500 donor grafts. I think at that point it would be quite thin, however they're big on homogenisation of the entire scalp area density. I think it could easily handle another 4000. I wouldn't mind doing another 2000-2500 graft procedure in the short term to reinforce temple points, cram the shit out of the hairline and stick 1000 in my crown area.
  21. I'm on finasteride, but have accounted for another transplant if need be in the next few years for the crown and a touch up on the hairline and midscalp. Fairly confident I'll maintain what I currently have on fin but have no issues with more transplants. If need be there is always SMP to create the illusion of more density in my crown and midscalp and I doubt I'll need to worry about that anyway.
  22. 1 week post-op Finally had a few scabs on the recipient area come off today. I think I've been a little too gentle on the shampooing technique but am a bit more confident with it now. Donor looking nice I think.
  23. Really beautiful, I actually miss the place and Istanbul in general despite only being there a few days. Incredibly cheap and good food too. My swelling has already gone down a bit but I have bad bruising around my eyes and a bit of pain in my donor area. When did you start having proper showers with the shower head?
  24. Introduction Right, so after about two years of playing the “too pussy for finasteride sides ” game, I finally gave in and hopped on 0.25mg along with nizoral 2% late last year. I’d long been expecting to get a transplant eventually, but after comfortably settling on finasteride despite the negative attitude to young guys with transplants I decided at 22 that potential surgery issues and risks are the same for everyone no matter what age, and that my attitude towards my hair-loss was too strenuous to deal with any longer. Time to fix this curse. Around a year ago I’d looked into clinics and narrowed things down across both FUT and FUE to Rahal, Hasson + Wong, Erdogan, Lupanzula and Lorenzo. Contacted Lupanzula, Wong + Hasson and Erdogan around this time and Erdogan was the only one that was happy to operate without my use of finasteride and my age at the time. When I came back to check around December who my options were I was solely looking at Erdogan and Rahal for their aggressive approaches. Ultimately the price quote from Rahal was almost double that with Erdogan, and additionally although they have similar consistency I found Erdogan to be a little better at using a lesser number of grafts and there is one case in which Rahal gave a transplant which ended in necrosis, which put me off somewhat. From the search it was clear Erdogan has more good results than any other doctor does in the world (and I’ve looked at thousands) at the lowest price of any of the top tier surgeons. I saw one bad result out of maybe 500 and the only criticisms offered were that his hairlines were too aggressive. This typically came from other doctors too incompetent to do dense packing or braindead patients from mediocre American FUT surgeons saying how genius it was to be “conservative” despite having the hairline of a 50 year old and in their lifetime never going through more than half of their donor area. The other criticism was that the surgery is largely tech driven, which it is, but this is the same worldwide and doesn’t affect results if the techs are well trained, so who cares? Cheap surgeon with consistent, and top end results, so I booked the first date I could for April 7th in late December. Day 1 Arriving at Attaturk airport from Australia after 20 hours of flights, I was contacted by Sevinj the patient coordinator who said the driver was waiting in the exit. After a little minor trouble with finding the right exit, (there are a few) there was a 45 minute or so drive to the clinic, upon which you’ll notice how insanely busy and chaotic their roads and traffic are. What is considered a near accident in Australia seems commonplace there every few minutes. Sevinj greeted me at ASMED just outside the lobby that is incredibly gorgeous and modern in itself, and made to wrap my shoes which was a nice touch for hygiene standards. One of the first things you will notice is the incredibly gorgeous women that work in this place, it almost feels like they’ve gone to a modelling agency, hired half of their models and trained them up for various roles. You are appointed a translator, in my case Sevval who was very sweet and helpful and then given blood, and heartrate tests. I was shown around the rest of the clinic which is equally beautiful and my room in one of the ASMED suites was very convenient, however I did miss the Radisson Blue food which I have heard others praise quite a bit. Instead, my translator typically ordered me take out delivered to my door. For my interview with Koray, he asked me a few banterish questions about Australia and spiders before moving to the serious stuff. Definitely has a nice quirk and sense of humour about him and was making a few of the techs have a good laugh prior to my surgery. He mainly questioned about my use of propecia and suggested I keep it up, and estimated my donor capacity and hair thickness (9650 and 55 microns). The first hairline he drew for me was a little too pointed in my opinion and not the natural state of my old line, so I asked him to make it a little more rounded and on second attempt, it was pretty much perfect. Definitely liked that he was very open to suggestions. He said I needed about 3000 grafts for the area and I asked if he could shove in another 1000 densely packed in. He said he could, however we would need two days, so I settled with the 3000. After this I came down for pre-op photos, a shave (which for me was fairly horrific) and then pre-op post-shave pics. Again you’ll notice how gorgeous and modern the clinic looks and the stunningness of the women working around the place, which never gets old. I also met another 3 guys having the surgery on the same day as me and was given drugs for surgery by the anaesthetist Dr Umad who seems kind of scary at first, but has an amusing dry sense of humour. Day 2 Despite being asked to wake by 7 am for the surgery, you’ll easily be woken by the loudspeaker Islamic call to prayers at around 5:30 am. Went for a big breakfast, took a Xanax (which was really great) and some other drug and was sat down in quite a comfortable extraction chair. They gave an ipad to watch films on during most of the surgery and it was actually fairly relaxing. The main issue with the surgery is the multiple anaesthetic injections which I needed every hour or so and were fairly horrific. Probably a 7/10 on the pain scale. Towards the end of my extractions I’m fairly sure the anaesthetic had almost completely worn off and I was feeling the entire punch, but I didn’t ask for any more needles because they’re slightly more painful than the extraction itself. You get to watch the live coverage of graft statistics on a screen as well which is fun. In between this 3 hour stage they give a nice lunch, pasta with beef chunks along with jelly, soup, bread and bean salad. When Koray came in for the incisions he instantly brings a liveliness to the room and the nurses love his banter. He was joking about nicknames he had given them and got me to give him the English name for big bird which he had given as the name for one of the larger tech ladies. The incisions are actually the nicest part, you hear a nice scrape sound from the blade which if you are a fan of ASMR might like. Implantations are the worst part, very monotonous and at this stage the entire head is needed regular anaesthetic injections and beginning to throb a bit. They finished at around 4:00 PM after starting at 7:30 and did 3070 grafts all up. They gave me an extra 50 as a surprise which the head tech did the incisions, and implantations for at the very end. If I had one recommendation to others going through the surgery, I would say get constant injections AS SOON as you feel pain. In my case I was waiting too long and the new injections were quite painful in themselves. If you ask for them regularly then you never have to experience this and the increasing pain level over time. Day 3 Before packing up ready to head off, I got a first wash with their foam and shampoo by one of the hair washing goddesses and some post-op photos. I left at around 2:30 pm incredibly satisfied with the experience (as of yet); everyone was incredibly nice, the clinic is beautiful, my translator Sevval was particularly sweet and the service was top notch overall. Currently I’m 3 days post-op and swelling is pretty bad, I have bruises around my eyes and look like a mongoloid but both the recipient and donor area are looking pretty good. A bit of minor throbbing and pain in the donor area in particular but nothing terrible. Here are a bunch of the main stats: 3070 grafts – Hair/Graft ratio: 2.47 Total Donor Area – 9650 Average Hair Thickness – 55 microns Singles - 277 Doubles - 1326 Triples - 1201 Quadruples - 240 Quintuples - 26 Sextuples - 0 They’ve given me the pics on a nice ASMED USB that I’ll post when I get back. Hopefully things will turn out alright and its only upwards from here.
