  1. Check your donor for miniaturisation. I got a transplant this year as a norwood 3 with FUE but I stabilized effectively on propecia alone. If you have a good donor, I would recommend considering FUT.
  2. Ashley and Martin is a scam for gods sake how can anyone not see that? You can buy generic proscar PRODUCED AT THE SAME SITE for $120 a year, minoxidil for about $100 and the laser is probably doing nothing at all. Slimy, disgusting sleaze bags making money off naive balding people. Buy your own proscar and quarter it, buy generic minoxidil, and use nizoral 2% shampoo 3 times a week. After that, look at a hair transplant. Ashley and Martin are scum, why in the world did you go there?
  3. The photos are absolutely atrocious, got to get the act together. Over the head shots from strange angles and no accurate hairline images make it seem like you have something to hide, and from what I've seen of Lupanzula results he is far better than that. Seriously though Lyubo, you can't say it looks unnatural if you can't even SEE it to begin with. Certainly there is nothing that stands out as strange to me.
  4. They also claim that in FUE they can "cherry pick" the grafts so they typically have a higher hair to graft ratio and FUT grafts are usually smaller.
  5. Hasson + Wong in the past month on FUE: "This significantly increased the ability for the patient to wear his or her hair short without any material signs of a procedure and also increased the percentage of viable grafts that could be harvested from the donor area in subsequent procedures if needed. In general our results have improved to the level that are indistinguishable from that of our strip surgery !!!"
  6. Obviously we aren't aware of his donor characteristics and hair thickness, but you cannot possibly argue that this is a conservation issue with 3500 grafts in that absolutely tiny area. I'm sure we both would have seen far less dense packing turn out fantastic results covering far larger areas. Again I'd ask you to look at older gentlemen in their 50s and 60s with matured norwood 1s, no one in their right mind can honestly argue that it looks off. 3500 grafts is 3500 grafts, I've seen cases with similar hair characteristics at 50 microns cover a larger area and achieve a natural, and lower hairline. Obviously t's the choice of patient and the doctor, but personally I don't like the approach, and also think the lack of temple point work looks a little off. Also would be interested on the number for area covered.
  7. Feller's proposal sounds like a great idea. Hope that comes through.
  8. Clooney is a norwood 1 with strong temple points at 56. Are you telling me that he doesn't look good or that his hair doesn't look natural? . Robert Redford is 80 years old with a norwood 1 and a teenagers hair, and again I don't think there is a single person on this forum who would be disappointed having his norwood 1 at 80. For that amount of grafts and density it can't be argued about conserving grafts or a master plan. I don't think the result looks fully balanced without temple point work and I'd hesitate to even say he went down a full norwood, and he took 3500 grafts. Again I think the result is phenomenal , but for that many FUT grafts I think a more aesthetic result could be achieved focusing on a lower, less receded hairline and temple point work. Just my opinion. And of course after 12 months I'm sure it will look even better.
  9. Seeing as you're in Canada and have extensive loss, you should seriously consider FUT with Hasson + Wong too.
  10. Save up and see Koray, also the finasteride is a good idea. Been on it for around 6 months no sides. Also I wouldn't let Hakan touch my scalp even if I was PAID to let him. There are (literally) hundreds of bad reviews of him ruining peoples lives, taking their money and destroying their donor areas. He doesn't use a manual punch either which you said you wanted. If price is a key factor for you, I searched far and wide and Koray was the cheapest top tier and consistent surgeon by a long shot.
  11. Of course the work is immaculate as per usual and especially impressive considering how natural it looks with the styling product, but I feel with some of the Hasson cases lately that for the amount of grafts a slightly lesser density and a lower, more aggressive and less of a widows peak hairline along with reinforced temple points would be a better trade off for the massive density in such a small area, that is still approaching a norwood 2.5 with a lot of forehead exposed. I'd be curious to see the survival rate of a case like this next to a more typical case which might be 20-30% less dense for the area. Also interested to see how this matures over the next 6 months.
  12. Whenever I read posts like this I feel like throwing up. I'm only a bit over a month out from mine and would absolutely LOVE to have had that much growth and be at the four month mark. That much growth at 4 months and you're almost guaranteed for a good result.
  13. What doctor have you chosen? Not trying to be rude but you don't really sound in the know about this. Your best option is an FUT mega session of 5000 grafts if possible. For an older bloke 2500 could be the difference between looking like the average person and being completely bald, in your case because of your age will go from bald, to bald and open up the risk of complications in the meantime. I mean you don't know the norwood scale, and you also suggested getting a second procedure "a few months later" which you wouldn't say if you'd done much research. To be honest if you canned this current bad idea and got an FUT with someone doctors like Hasson + Wong you'd be very, very glad you did.
  14. I took the two weeks before off and then the month after and my squat went from 280 to 205.
  15. Close up of remaining transplanted hairs at 35 days
  16. Well it's definitely somewhere in between 5 and 10
  17. 1 month. Hair looks a lot worse than it does in real life. I look like a norwood 5 there. About 8% of the transplanted hairs have remained and stopped falling out.
  18. Agree with the other poster. Personally I think Lorenzo is outright bad at hairlines but I think most would agree he's still at the top end of high norwood case doctors, even taking into account FUT surgeons. Erdogan would be a much better choice for a second surgery if you had enough remaining donor to revise things and perfect the hairline.
  19. No one in their right mind would sign that even if they believed it. More importantly however doctor Feller, you constantly say no layman can comment on hair transplant details when you yourself have no experience in conducting an FUE megassession. Why should anyone take you seriously on the topic when doctors are doing 5000 grafts over two day sessions and you refuse to do more than 1500? Again, there are hundreds of results from European FUE surgeons such as Lupanzula and Erdogan with no visible scarring or donor depletion at a grade 4 even after 5000 grafts have been removed. You admit you don't perform FUE megasessions, so how are you qualified to comment on them now?
  20. Definitely growth at least as good as the average person. Should already look pretty good at 6 months. I'm at 1 month and I don't think I'll stop stressing for another 2 months at the least.
  21. Silly comment, He's arguably lost no ground (hard to tell with different hair lengths) in 5 years and is NOW on finasteride, it's safe to say that he has "stabilised" in a realistic sense. The truth is that hair loss is never 100% set in stone stabilised. Plenty of people have held the fort for a decade and suddenly gone backwards. Hair transplants are stealing back a few years, make the best effort to stabilise you can, and beyond that simply be aware that you end up getting more transplants in the future. It's up to yourself and a doctor to decide what is a longer term plan for your hair loss, but the fact is that if you have male pattern baldness, eventually the hair will fall out, and you'll probably want those extra transplants.
