  1. Really weird looking post-op result and procedure type in general. I hope you get a good yield. Your donor is probably completely used up at this point if that was a motorized punch, are you on finasteride?
  2. Good overall results as of yet. Likely could do with 1000-1500 grafts more to refine the hairline to perfection but very nice improvement for 8 months, and of course for one of the cheapest consistently impressive surgeons out there.
  3. Who was your doctor? Your best option would be to head to a high end hairline doctor such as Feriduni, or Keser and Lupanzula who both do extractions and incisions themselves. You should ask for a refund if possible, never a good idea to head back for a repair to a doctor that did a botch job the first time. If it helps, your hair still looks very good and I don't think the average person would think any thing of it other than a little bit of "thinning hair".
  4. Styling products make hair look less dense typically. With a good doctor it should be undetectable depending on the amount of grafts. Length definitely will help for coverage overall, depends exactly how short you want to keep it. I very rarely see a buzz cut length transplant that looks healthy. A few months of length however and this isn't an issue.
  5. Vast majority of studies put sides between 2-8%. I've used 0.25mg of fin for 6 months no issues. 3600 should give good coverage across all areas, especially if you add fin to help the crown out a bit more. Your individual hairs look quite thick too.
  6. Probably 3000-3600 depending if you want any work on the crown done and how low you want the hairline. Any reason you're not on finasteride? Wouldn't be a bad idea to start.
  7. Weird how it looks so sparse and lacking in density even after 7 days when I assume nothing would have fallen out, but ended up looking great.
  8. This is why I cringe when I see the 3500-4000 graft FUT cases over the same area lately. Obviously this guy has fantastic hair texture and calibre but clearly there's a point of diminishing returns with cramming huge numbers of grafts. Did propecia contribute to the result at all? A shot with the hairline pulled up would be nice though.
  9. Particularly when dealing with some of the more arrogant doctors, the difference between holding your tongue initially and coming out guns blazing is the difference between getting a refund or getting a lawsuit, for the exact same result.
  10. Your posts always have this silly thoughtless attitude. Think a little bit, he isn't PROTECTING THE SURGEON, he is PROTECTING HIS CHANCES FOR RECOURSE SUCH AS A REFUND. By keeping it quiet and using the forum as leverage it makes it easier to request a refund, as it gives him the option to keep it quiet as long as they get the money back to him. Without this leverage it becomes more difficult. Think. Not hard.
  11. "Confidence will never frame your face properly, a girl can't run her fingers through your confidence." Goddamn I love this quote.
  12. So much jealousy from people disappointed they didn't get procedures done in their 20s. I see far more cases of young guys regretting not doing a procedure earlier than regretting doing one when they are young. When they regret it young, it is because they either went to a bad doctor (which is a reason to do your research, not avoid transplants) or they run out of money for future procedures. Just because you waited until you were 30 because an idiot doctor without the ability to dense pack to a level a young guy would be happy told you to with doesn't mean others should wait too. This guys result is beautiful and had minimal impact on his donor. Any criticism is downright moronic, and I feel sorry for anyone who does, because they have personal issues of bitterness to deal with. The difference between balding in your 20s and 40s is that if you're 40 without perfect hair, women your own age don't mind if you have other life achievements to back yourself up, however if you're 20 both women your own age and women in their 30s and 40s see you as a genetically defected outlier, and you are unlikely to have your own great life achievements at that stage, and therefore will be less desirable.
  13. I would avoid the UK altogether and head to Belgium or Turkey if you're interested in FUE. Better doctors for a fraction of the price. Both Farjo and Reddy are doing good work, but I don't think most would place them on the same level as others accessible via plain trip. I would look at Bisanga, Feriduni and Lupanzula in Belgium and Erdogan in Turkey as well as the UK clinics to get a bit more perspective.
  14. $12 a graft is not worth it considering the alternatives no matter who you're going to. I hope OP isn't some rich kid who thinks he's going to go to the most expensive surgeon just to show off. Like others have said, when you have others such as Konior who many consider to be the best FUE surgeon in the US paying $12 is just silly.
  15. The client is ultimately the one paying for the surgery. He's a big boy, and certainly when I was at ASMED they emphasised multiple times for me to ask for exactly what I wanted and mention if I didn't like their approach or wanted something different. More than enough grafts left in the bank for full coverage with another surgery. It's something of a moot point to worry about how his hairloss will progress, as the vast majority has already occurred. He has no hair behind the hairline which is the fear many talk about when bringing up the necessity of fin up, and yet he still looks substantially better than before. Without a doubt he has been effectively repaired with fantastic framing of the face and has the grafts to achieve full coverage with another pass. Substantial cosmetic improvement, repair of past bad results and hairline design, perfectly formed and aggressive new hairline along with enough grafts left in the bank for coverage of the rest of the balding area. I'd call it a win, but the fin wouldn't be a bad idea.
  16. I think you got the result to be expected with 3400 grafts. You say 80 hairs per square centimetre, and this is actually quite low, and likely with FUE for the majority of doctors 10-15% would not grow. You covered a huge area with a tiny amount of grafts. I don't think the doctors planning was adequate and nor do I think they were honest with you about expectations, but I certainly think you got what you paid for. The extractions point you keep banging on about has nothing to do with your result. Take a deep breathe, relax, and realise you probably got what you paid for, albeit with the wrong expectations and planning offered to you by Dr Yaman. To achieve what you are asking for over that entire area covered I would expect 5000 grafts at least. I have seen FUT results with Hasson and Wong covering that sized area with 6000 and it still doesn't look "perfect". You also say that post surgery a clinic rep offered you assistance months and months ago with a refund or another free surgery, so even more so I don't think you have been done wrong. If you want the results you're talking about, no doctor could have given you that with 3400 grafts in a single surgery. NONE. What you are looking for is mathematically impossible, and Yaman's recent comment shows a lot of decency. I feel for you, but you're completely wrong on this. I also agree with spanker that length is an issue. Take a look at Spex's buzzed transplant and you'll see that doesn't look too healthy, despite the fact that it looks great at his usual length.
  17. I didn't see anything to lock the thread over and certainly some were being overly sensitive, but no new ground was being covered and very few doctors are going to be prepared to shed new light or their own opinion in the debate with someone as headstrong and opinionated as Dr. Feller, for better or worse. Even Feller has being quoted as saying the tools and methodology aren't as important as results, and I think there are plenty of fantastic surgeons both FUT and FUE cases for people to look at here and elsewhere to make up their own minds. Certainly for me I looked at thousands and didn't feel I was going to get a better result than going with Erdogan, regardless of the method.
  18. When people say to avoid Turkey, what they really mean is that you should avoid tech driven surgery where the surgeon isn't performing the majority of the work in general, however there still are a substantial amount of Turkish surgeons doing work consistently as good as those anywhere else in the world, including those who heavily utilize techs. Cinik has a substantial number of surgeries posted on the international forum and does the maximum potential amount of grafts in one day for $2000. The idea that a specific country means lower or higher quality results is just ridiculous. There are consistently high quality surgeons that are both very cheap, and those who are very expensive, and often those who are cheap are using better techniques, technology and approaches than the expensive ones. I agree Saifi is a good doctor with many available results to view and a low cost. Along with him I would consider Cinik, and doctor Nader in Mexico. Genuinely though, you only have a certain amount of donor and the truth is you should maximise your chance of success if hair is important to you and go to the doctor you believe will give you the best results. You'll forget about the money when you get a fantastic results. Certainly steer clear of hair palace, which is clearly a marketing rather than results orientated clinic. I think Erdogan is getting top end results and for only 2.5 euro per graft. Some of the Belgians such as Bisanga and Lupanzula are around 3.5 I think which is still considered very cheap.
  19. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185505-dr-lupanzula-medikemos-clinic-5580-3250-2330-fus-manual-fue.html Absolute master class in donor management, an artful conservative hairline and donor management. Definitely appreciate that he does extractions himself so less of a gamble. Many of his results on the international forum to check out too. Out of interest what holding solution does Lupanzula use for grafts?
  20. Really bad photos, especially considering the afters are done by the clinic. Afters clearly in lower light than the before photos and no images of the hairline. Directly post op photos would help to know exactly where these grafts went. If someone told me that these were taken on exactly the same day simply in different lighting, and the after with a comb over to give the illusion of more density I'd believe it. There is not enough visual information to conclude that ANY of the grafts grew with any certainty. Also important to know whether he started finasteride and continues it with this case.
  21. "Once you even referred to us as "mentally challenged" and "peanuts in the peanut gallery". It is for this very reason that I personally would never select you as my surgeon, not because I think you are not a very skilled surgeon." http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/161233-9-5-months-pics-1000-fue-dr-feller-not-good-so-far-9.html This along with his treatment of the patient and God complex presented throughout this case is my personal issue with Dr Feller. It's clear that his support of FUT is due to a passion, facts, experience and a feeling of ethical responsibility, however in presenting his case he CONSTANTLY gets himself into a position that shows a lack of empathy and understanding for the patients perspective, which is particularly devastating when he performs a bad result on a patient and often gets ugly. I will say agree with the majority of what he says to an extent and so would anyone who has looked at hundreds of cases, the prime examples with FUT being a higher success rate, higher yield, lower transection rates, less skeletonized and fragile grafts, a smaller overall area of scarring and donor damage, and a removed chance of taking grafts from a zone of future miniaturisation. I also agree that the big reason a SUBSTANTIAL number of FUE patients (maybe the majority) avoid FUT is simply because they are scared of having a strip removed from their head, plain and simple. The area I don't agree is that I don't have to be a surgeon to see that other recommended FUE only surgeons on this network are consistently performing successful FUE megasessions and multiple sessions that cross into the 5000-8000 levels with success and minimal donor scarring visible past a grade one. I did a long search for who I thought was getting the most consistent results of any doctor and I settled on Koray Erdogan, despite the fact that he ONLY performs FUE. He regularly performs 5000 over two days with little complications, and I'd argue gets more consistent aesthetically pleasing results than almost any FUT doctor I researched. We all know the other doctors in Europe who are achieving similar feats such as Lupanzula, Feriduni, Lorenzo etc. (many of who have more results to view online than Dr. Feller) The typical Feller response of "I'm not aware of their work" is clearly an outright lie, or stupid wilful ignorance. Notably the top end FUE surgeons are performing manual FUE. It comes down to the fact that there are a select few doctors who are primarily utilizing FUE that are more consistent and artful surgeons than the vast majority of FUT surgeons, and the prices in Europe make make it tempting too. There are successful FUT AND FUE sessions performed and posted on this website on a weekly/daily basis, and to deny that is stupidity. Many are aware FUT is the smarter option for a myriad of reasons, however just don't want a strip cut out of the back of their head. People should look at the RESULTS from as many FUE and FUT doctors as possible and make an informed decision for themselves. I think even with the awareness of what Feller says to be true, many would still prefer FUE.
