  1. All norwood 5s with high sides and back on both sides of the family. In terms of FUT I would put Dr. Feller among the top options with, Bisanga, Hasson + Wong, Konior and Feriduni. My only issue with him is that in the (rare) cases I have seen of a very poor yield there are occasions where his conduct is approaching blatantly unethical, and he is very averse to refunds or touch-ups.
  2. Unfortunately I don't have a face suited to any shorter fade cut, and keeping the sides long allows me to cover up the frontal areas. My hair is a very light brown that almost looks like it is greying especially with a short cut and with a 3 on top I look like I'm a norwood 5 from a distance due to diffusing and my light hair color. Not going to work. I do agree for most it works well, but only for a darker shade of brown. I looked at thousands of results across multiple forums, and Erdogan is clearly the most consistent, competent with donor management and dare I say best FUE surgeon globally. Also far cheaper than the other top FUE doctors. Couto's results are arguably more impressive and aesthetically pleasing, however his waiting list is 5 years. What doctors do you feel are at the top of their game?
  3. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/186728-asmed-koray-erdogan-3070-grafts-april-10th.htm http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/186728-asmed-koray-erdogan-3070-grafts-april-10th-2.html I'll have my 5 month up in about 4 days. Still hoping for a lot more up to month 6 and 7, but already I've had a definite cosmetic improvement. I'm planning another run through in 2 - 3 years to perfect the frontal third and add density to the crown, but I'm in no rush.
  4. "The fact is, if I were female or gay, there's not a goddamn chance I would date a bald guy." I think a lot of people here are mid-thirties, happy to settle and past their prime so they don't really get this, but to extend your point I'm not particularly interested in a woman who has low standards to begin with. High standards are definitely a forgotten virtue sometimes.
  5. If magically I hit norwood 7 despite being on medication and my miniaturisation only occurring in the norwood 5 area (which any competent surgeon can measure), then I'll shave it off and get SMP. If that doesn't happen, I'll get to go through my 20s looking like a fullhead. Both of these made for substantially better options than waiting another decade as a norwood 3. Being one of the youngest guys I have seen get a transplant on this forum I'd looked into plenty of cases of guys my age who got transplants. I agree 95% are failures long term, however it is typically because they aren't on medication, go to a poor surgeon who botches their donor, run out of money for future surgeries or goes too aggressive with a donor that can't accommodate it. Most of these ultimately relate to a lack of research.
  6. To each their own, unfortunately the vast majority are far more attractive with hair than without. I have talked to many girls around my age (their 20s) about this and every single one agrees balding is one of the most unattractive things possible for a man. I was with a mates girlfriend the other day at a club and out of nowhere she pointed out a youngish dude with a massive bald spot at the crown and went "ewwwwww". Most women genuinely look at it as an illness, especially on younger guys. What it really comes down to is money, donor, time, usage and success of medication, awareness of risk, and research for a for a surgeon. If the right boxes are all ticked, if you're worried about it you should get it done. If you can't tick those boxes, then don't. That simple really.
  7. A bigger regret would be living your twenties looking like a 50 year old man.
  8. Can definitely see sprouts, I think you're on the right track. 4 months is when it's clear the action has started.
  9. There doesn't seem to be as many of his results around lately and I have seen a few mediocre yields and bad scars. Bisanga for example has much more of a presence on the forums and regularly visible results, very cheap prices for FUT (3 euro first 1000 grafts, then 2 Euro) and has been very consistent as of late apart from a few FUE cases I have seen lately. Hasson + Wong remain a premier global FUT team, particularly with larger sessions.
  10. Just my opinion but I think you are much better suited to FUT. Considering you're interested in Bisanga who is an excellent FUT surgeon, it is definitely worth considering.
  11. 3000 is a small amount of grafts for a NW5-NW6 pattern like yourself if your goal is good density in the hairline and a touch up on the crown area. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185300-dr-hasson-3965-grafts-fut-8.html This for example is a very common procedure I am seeing lately with norwood 3s. 3000-4000 grafts in the hairline frontal band from doctors that the majority here would consider ethical, and even this is not PERFECT and could benefit from a small touch up. Most acceptable dense frontal third procedures require 3000 grafts for full coverage, and many tend to go back for touch ups raising the number up to 4000 regularly. Erdogan and Hasson are regularly doing 5000 graft sessions with fantastic results, and have done so for years. I cannot understand the surprise at the 5000 graft number, it is very, very common particularly for those in similar situations to yourself. In your case you are probably more suited to FUT if you want to absolutely maximise your donor, but without a doubt I would opt for Koray if you are set on an FUE megassession. His track record of hundreds and hundreds of 5000 graft procedures and his coverage value system is bordering on flawless. It easy to criticise the high numbers for virtue signalling purposes, but I'm yet to see anyone achieve good coverage on norwood 5s like that of H+W or Erdogan 5000 graft megassessions. Their track record also proves long term viability and consistency too with high graft numbers, without sacrificing yield. Good coverage and hairline density in your situation is a pipe dream with 3000 grafts. There is nothing "conservative" about doing 3000 grafts over 5000, your donor capacity is the same whether or not you do a small or a large procedure first. The number one concern should be finding a doctor who has a large array of patient posted results including those that are recent that reflect consistency, results you find aesthetically pleasing, and success with long term donor management.
  12. Considering your losses and desire to maximise your donor definitely go for FUT. Still don't think there are any better choices out there for high norwoods than Hasson + Wong if you're happy to do FUT. Look into Bisanga as well. You can always hit it with an FUE down the track.
  13. I feel like you answered your own question in a way considering you're looking for a one and done approach. Koray's hairline work is consistently stronger (and typically more aggressive if that is what you are interested in) and he excels at the larger scale single FUE sessions, as opposed to Lorenzo who likes to work slowly and perfect things over multiple surgeries. I also disagree completely about the "unethical" comment about Erdogan's donor management. As someone who went to him and did significant research across probably at least a thousand of his cases, I didn't see a single person who had maxed out their donor or had it visibly eaten away. If anyone has any hard evidence against this, they should present visual evidence or an unsatisfied patient to prove this rather than simply complain about the numbers. Considering your losses are not excessive, appear to be only in the norwood 5 area, your donor looks very strong and you are relatively stable in terms of losses, I would opt for a more aggressive approach with Erdogan, especially considering you're looking for a one and done. In saying that, I think you'd get fantastic results and service Lorenzo too, but you're less likely to be satisfied after a single surgery with that graft count. If you were prepared to spread things across two surgeries I think it would be a closer contest.
  14. I'm thinking of dyeing mine a little darker too. Similar hair texture and colour to you I think. Looks good, and the result is of course top notch. You could be a hair model now.
  15. I think it's a solid result, and to be expected from anyone with 50 micron hair and similar hair texture to you. You can't compare yourself to a lot of the European and Arab Erdogan patients with 60-70 micron hair who are at a major advantage. Take a look at some of the recent Hasson results, cramming 3000 - 4000 FUT grafts into half the area and you'll realise that it isn't a HUGE amount of grafts, and is a very large area. With a 25-30% touchup on the hairline it would likely take it from a decent result to a monster result. I also think that when you'll look back from 8-12 months you'll definitely see a small amount of further improvement at the end.
  16. Looks sick already man. I think when you hit 6-6.5 months you'll be a confirmed fullhead. I'm having the same problem with remaining redness too which is a pain though.
  17. Post some clear PRE OP photos to compare. The likely issue here is body dysmorphia.
  18. Neither recommended by this forum, I don't think any recommended surgeons here are that cheap. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185577-hair-transplant-dr-cinik-istanbul.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/181094-dr-cinik-4000-grafts-cosmedica-clinic-3.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/186823-4250-grafts-dr-cinik-istambul-amazing-experience.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184600-dr-cinik-istanbul-4.html
  19. Cinik and Acar in Istanbul. The average response would that an inherently risky cosmetic procedure that you're going to live with for the rest of your life should be undertaken without primary focus on money, but I would be comfortable with either of these surgeons if I was not in a financial position to opt for a more established surgeon, and many are not. Certainly at FUE their results are both more consistent and aesthetically pleasing for the graft count of typical US surgeons at FUE, likely because they are far more experienced. Of course both are not particularly hands on, technicians doing most of the procedure aside from the incisions for the grafts, although this is common in Europe. I would heavily research both of these names on all the forums you can find and go through all the patient posted results you can. Both have a strong reputation but it is worth going through each and every case you can to gauge consistency and particularly how they respond in the case of poor growth, although I haven't seen any botched cases from either. You should also make sure you are on finasteride if you aren't already, in the long term that will do far more good than a single hair transplant will.
  20. FUT, or you're just risking the same thing happening again. A user of a manual punch may have better success, but ultimately FUT is your best shot.
  21. This result is a contender for GOAT as a final product.
  22. What is your problem? Most here have already told you a selection of high quality doctors you can look into and have recommended avoiding the ARTAS. I know you think you're trying to be objective here, but with your mentality you're going to end up with a sweet talking salesman bragging about his tools, rather than one with quality results, reputation and consistency. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if you were a future repair case.
