  1. You're are very, very bad at picking surgeons. Trust people here who have experience. Look at Feriduni, Hasson, and especially Keser in Turkey. You're already in a very good situation, go to that idiot Pak and it's likely you will look worse than you started off with.
  2. Keser in Ankara does some of the best work for small procedures. Look into him. Don't opt for Jae Pak, him and Rassman do shit work quite frankly and shit work for a ridiculously high price. Like the others here I mirror that you don't really need it though. Your hair is great, not just for your age but in general.
  3. When you misrepresent what I say and then criticise me for it despite not reading what I said, you're going to have your intelligence insulted. That's the way I roll. It's a matter of a doctor standing behind their work before, during and after the case. If they aren't prepared to do this, they are not a doctor worth considering. That simple. There are plenty of those who do and exhibit high ethical standards and willingness to please patients. If a doctor isn't prepared to do this, they plainly deserve to be ridiculed and ignored. This doesn't mean bending to their every whim or desire, but Lindsey himself claims that this was not in his expectations and in that case certainly not the patients. On the margins transplant and typical cosmetic surgery clinics work on only a horrible person and an unethical doctor wouldn't make an attempt to rectify a situation like this. Again it seems like this individual case may have been settled privately to a degree, but it is simply good marketing to reflect legitimate post-op care and standing behind your work, like any other service related professional would be expected.
  4. Insanely gorgeous result. Very few doctors achieve natural looking temple restoration that compliments the frame and transplant overall while not wasting grafts, but this is perfect. Subtle but big difference.
  5. Honestly the initial one he drew was more natural in retrospect but for some reason when it was drawn on I thought it should be more curved and asked him to change it, so I don't blame him, but I agree with you it isn't perfect. The problem isn't a lack of temple recession, it's the overly curved shape. There is definitely some small visible temple recession left, it isn't juvenile NW1 territory. I actually want to go for a more point and less round hairline and close off some of that remaining temple recession in future, small alteration but I want it to look a tad more youthful. Look at a guy in their mid 50s like Brad Pitt with a juvenile hairline, is anyone really complaining? For most people it simply looks better.
  6. That's all fine and dandy, but I and I'm sure others will recommend that any doctor who isn't willing to rectify out of the norm damage with compensation should be avoided. If a patient ended up with necrosis would you say it isn't the doctors responsibility to deal with it? Necrosis happens with the best of them, I've seen it with Erdogan, Hasson, and Rahal for example. Not something that is deliberate, but are you really saying that complications shouldn't be dealt with by the doctor? You can believe this idiocy all you like, I and no other person who is sane will go to a doctor who takes no responsibility for complications arising out of their work, whether or not it is a legal issue. It's immoral on the amount of earnings transplant clinics earn and it's horrific marketing. "Jean, above here says he 'expects' cosmetic surgeons to compensate if the outcome is not desirable. Why do you expect that? Who made it the norm? Just because its the norm, does it make it an obligation? " I also didn't say this, go back to primary school reading comprehension class buddy. Try not to make yourself also sound like an illiterate when you're being blatantly insensitive and illogical too. I said "expect that in a case of cosmetic surgery where the person looks worse than when they went in you should be willing to compensate them." That clearly isn't the same as "outcome that is not desireable." Surprised that the son of a lawyer (maybe not a great one) doesn't know how to be objective when analysing the facts of a case. "Why do you expect that? Who made it the norm? Just because its the norm, does it make it an obligation?" I expect it because plenty of high grade surgeons recommended on this site for example have offered refunds, compensation and a willingness to help those who undergo complications or poor results. Because of that, I would strongly recommend that everyone avoid going to a doctor who isn't willing to provide reasonable post-op service when there are a range of those who ARE willing to help. It's purely a marketing and ethics issue, but often also a legal one if the patient underwent complications that were not expressed prior to the surgery. But yes it's a free world, you can choose to go with surgeons who are unethical and don't stand behind their work despite being able to afford to do so, I will recommend everyone not do so, and point them do doctors who do stand behind their work. And there are many of them. By the way I'm not using Lindsey as an example of an unethical doctor in saying this, this is a private situation and we don't know the full details but certainly from a marketing perspective it would be smart to publicly rectify the situation on the forum.
  7. Agree with the above poster. 95% of people here are smart enough to know that freak accidents or poor results occur even with highly competent doctors like yourself, but most of us would expect that in a case of cosmetic surgery where the person looks worse than when they went in you should be willing to compensate them. Very few people would select a surgeon who was unwilling to fix an issue like this, and there is no reason to because on a regular basis we see doctors who are willing to refund, or compensate for damages caused and required to rectify the issue. On the financial margins cosmetic surgeons work on it isn't as if it's going to be a painful hit to the cashflow statement. If it is, then you need more competent people in charge of the business management aspect of the clinic. Even if this is all part of the contract and emphasised to the patient beforehand, it doesn't make avoiding compensating in instances such as these any more ethical or sensible from a clinic marketing perspective. "I say that because at least half our our patients do not follow our instructions, don't clean well...and who knows what else...I've put up videos of some of the classic examples (patients pulling out grafts etc)...." It's nice to give doctors the benefit of the doubt because it's their career, their ass on the line and the majority of doctors want to do good work and please people, but this type of comment makes it very hard. How would you even KNOW that half your patients don't follow instructions? Oh that's right, you wouldn't because that is a blatantly made up statistic and impossible for you to know. Easier to blame patients though and not cough up compensation than accept that your staff and yourself are not infallible, just like everyone else.
  8. Growth looks great, but tough love here mate you're a total idiot if you don't get on finasteride. That donor is shot and especially an Asian with strong contrast of hair and scalp shouldn't have a 1mm punch used. You're going to have a crisis on your hands if you lose more hair due to your ruined donor. On the upside if you do get on finasteride it looks as if you're going to get a fantastic result and still have the ability to make it last.
  9. Just those from his forum recommendation, but those are with modern techniques, what you received doesn't look like it and "multi unit grafts" and "minigrafts" which you say you got haven't been used by serious transplant surgeons for fifteen years. The other Pawlinga cases are clearly proper follicular unit cases which is as they occur naturally. These are medieval techniques that shouldn't exist anymore.
  10. That and the fact that all the other work of Pawlinga seems to be strong and using true follicular units and this is entirely different is definitely sus too. Who knows though. If not, this needs a refund, or otherwise a lawsuit.
  11. 7 Months Things have slowed down the past few weeks, getting bored of updates and thinking about hair at this point and satisfied with where its at. No longer worried about it. In saying that there are small issues like the left side is slightly less dense and in particular there is a small patch behind the hairline that didn't get enough grafts implanted, not a yield issue but simply not enough density. Also I would like to close the temple areas slightly and add maybe 20% density all over in the previously bare parts of the frontal third. Crown probably needs 800-100 grafts to be where I want it as well. Probably looking at 2500 grafts to get where I want to finish up. Almost been a year now on finasteride, no sides, slight improvement in the crown and midscalp peaking at about month 5-6. No further losses. Not in any hurry for another procedure but depending on my finances will probably look for another one in the next 18 months. Overall very happy with ASMED and of course their hospitality at the clinic is impeccable, so would definitely go back to them for a future procedure. Will probably update again at 12 months, or maybe 10 if there's a noticeable improvement. Maybe occasional phone pic indoors.
  12. You should file a lawsuit. This is a genuine case of medical negligence from outdated and medieval techniques. Goes with out saying that you're not going to see any growth and are likely to look far worse than you did before. Are you sure it was Pawlinga and not someone saying they were Pawlinga? Some of his results online look fine with true follicular units, which isn't what you received.
  13. Fantastic hairline and temples point design here too. Was a little iffy at the 9 month mark, but definitely with that styling and minor improvements over month 9-12 this has turned out a monster result. Not a huge amount of grafts used up, stabilised on fin and with an extra 500 grafts this could be absolutely perfect.
  14. I forgot to list him, for your case because you're leaning towards high norwood and his exceptional donor management and coverage skills I would definitely consider him strongly too. I don't like his hairline work quite as much but because you're probably not looking at anything super youthful or aggressive I think his style would suit very well. Feriduni and Konior have year long waiting lists almost (from what I've read lately) so if you're wanting the procedure soon I think Lorenzo is around 4 months at the moment, but again not 100% sure. Erdogan who I went to is also top notch for high norwood work and uses the same coverage value system as Lorenzo.
  15. Doctor's responsible whether or not it was due to an obvious mistake, contact the doctor and make him pay for SMP. I doubt this was in the scope of risks listed in the contract, you have been permanently disfigured and he should be happy to cough up damages to attempt to rectify it. On the profits they're making, Lindsey should be HAPPY to help you for free as currently you're a walking sign post screaming "don't go to doctor Lindsey if you don't want this!". Confuses me as to how poorly some doctors understand marketing in this regard. There is no reason to be aggressive or make threats because I genuinely believe this is a freak accident, but you should ask Lindsey to compensate you for an SMP procedure to compensate. If that's not happening, I'd be looking for a lawyer as well as the contract you signed and state law regarding the issue. Stop looking for reasons why it happened as it is likely a freak accident, get the compensation for a corrective procedure you're ethically and likely legally entitled to, and go for SMP.
  16. 1000 grafts will achieve almost nothing for your case. Reddy is a highly competent doctor, but you're wasting your time. You're a norwood 3.5 with a severely weak forelock and thinning in the NW5 area who isn't on propecia. This is a TERRIBLE idea. I would genuinely recommend you cancel or postpone and contact a number of other global doctors, Erdogan, Feriduni, Lupanzula, Konior, Hasson+Wong, Bisanga, Freitas, Feller are some strong options. I list so many because I don't want to seem like I am being biased, but Reddy has high prices and you're genuinely wasting your time with 1000 grafts. Particularly if you're not on propecia, you will LOSE more than 3000 hairs in the time it takes for those 3000 hairs implanted to grow. STRONGLY recommend you postpone and contact some other doctors outside of the UK, particularly Belgium like Ferdiduni, Lupanzula and Bisanga for their opinion, because I promise you it will be very, very different to 1000 grafts. Again I don't want to sound like I'm attacking Reddy, but a doctor prepared to do a tiny frontal hairline surgery when you're thinning in the NW5 area severely and not on propecia is just plain wrong. He's going to have you locked in for future surgery because that tiny thick band of transplants with the hair behind it disappearing is going to look ridiculous and you'll need another transplant in 12 months. Don't go through with it until you get some second opinions from the non-UK surgeons I mentioned or other Hairrestorationetwork recommended surgeons and consider their advice.
  17. The others lack any logical basis for saying you shouldn't get a hair transplant at that age because on the evidence there isn't one. Whether a hair transplant is a good decision is not dependent on age in the slightest. Arbitrary round numbers like 25 aren't going to tell you anything at all, it's a silly benchmark. I would recommend you hang around the forums and do substantial research on doctors and surgery types before you jump into anything, also if you can have your donor analysed by a local doctor. Avoid only looking at the doctors in your country, US and UK doctors in particular don't like to work on younger patients typically and are often overly cautious. Erdogan in Turkey, Lupanzula, Feriduni and Bisanga in Belgium and Konior in the US are all top options I would consult and look into, particularly for the hairline work you're looking for. Consider both FUT and FUE on their merits too. I agree with Spex that Duta is likely not necessary at this stage, and could potentially cause more problems than it is worth, considering you're already maintaining and improved on finasteride.
  18. Looking pretty messy right now, gotta get a haircut and even the natives out with the transplants then I'll post an update.
  19. Never heard of this doctor but the work looks fantastic. Hairline design and placement overall reminds me of Keser very much.
  20. "Please don't try to change my mind, try to help instead, if you want." If already knew what you wanted to hear and would accept, why bother asking the forum? Like I mentioned, ask any reputable doctor and they'll say what I said.
  21. Have fun chasing repairs then with some unethical back alley clinic. The majority of clinics you mentioned will not operate on you without finasteride, especially at your age. Again, you're mentally immature in this regard but I'm sure like many when you continue to lose hair and go bald without finasteride it won't take long for you to realise you made a big mistake and I was right to begin with. I wasn't name calling either, it was a statement of fact that if you don't care about statistics and medical data and act solely on emotion you're not mature enough for a hair transplant, but if you're keen on being an ignorant idiot then perhaps some name calling is warranted. But I agree the next step is consultation with some of those surgeons you listed, and they'll say the same thing I said.
