  1. This post is a mess and clearly shooting from the hip, but there is more truth here than many would care to admit. There are techs working for Lorenzo, Erdogan, Feriduni etc who are without any doubt more competent than the typical generic cosmetic surgeon in the US offering ARTAS procedures with horrible results; low yields, poor planning, butchery of the donor and minimal cosmetic improvement. Even the idea that the typical US surgeon who has spent a decade doing FUTs and branches into a few FUE cases a week for ultra-low graft numbers is going to be as competent as a tech who is doing it day in day out and specifically focusing on extractions is laughable. No America, there is nothing special about your doctors that equates to them being automatically better than Turkish techs. 95% of US surgeons don't have more than 20 FUE cases to look at online. You'd be just as stupid to opt for one as a random Turkish clinic. Same as in Australia the economic issue is real, regulations forcing a surgeon to be involved with all elements of the procedure, drastically higher wages for techs along with land + construction prices is going to equate to a market that isn't globally competitive. Anyone who has studied even high school level economics will understand this. And Spanker, your comment has merit for guiding a noobie but in reality *why* would a US surgeon who is likely only doing a few FUE cases per week (which is the norm) going to be as competent as a Turkish tech doing it every day, without the fatigue of being involved in every aspect of the procedure? This is just delusional American exceptionalism. Obviously there are a significant amount of hair mills and techs that just don't give a shit, but a complete critique of the hair mill model isn't based in logic or reality and like OP mentioned shows a failure to understand economics or logic. A top end team of techs performing one part of a procedure for 3 hours is more likely to do a consistently good job and become exceptionally skilled at their role than a surgeon fatigued by 9 hours of work across extractions, incisions and implantation. There are particularly outstanding surgeons like Konior with a proven track record who by choosing them you are lowering your risk drastically by avoiding unknown techs, but respected surgeons like Lorenzo opt for a "hair mill" model performing FUE on 4 patients per day and quite frankly there are NO FUE surgeons in the US with his track record, at least not available to view online. There are less than fifteen FUE Konior cases to look at on the web. No disrespect, but I contacted him directly to see more of his FUE cases about 6 months ago and his answer was "I'm booked out for 12 months, I'm not going to show you any". Yeah, I'll stick with European "hair mills" like Lorenzo and Erdogan's clinic thanks.
  2. Unfortunate, it does look great when grown out a little though. Hopefully still some time for it to settle in. Overall your situation is genuinely the best pre-NW4 results I have ever seen however. Btw your outfits and hair styling are always on point too man, sharp as fuck. Annoying that the temples don't blend perfectly when short but they definitely benefit the aesthetic you go for. Time to find more interesting things to worry about than hair, it'll never be 100% perfect, that's just the nature of things but its close enough at this point
  3. I agree, reminds me of Doganay where clearly some form of negligence is going on. Obviously a talented and competent surgeon but a lack of consistency shows that the tech focused setup isn't working for him. It shouldn't be as difficult to remove surgeons from the recommended list, it seems as if they have to do something genuinely reprehensible to get kicked off. 50% of the results I see from Yaman are bordering on zero growth, there are better low cost surgeons in Turkey like Acar and Cinik, also on the upper end Keser and Oztan aren't recommended but well above the average standard of recommended FUE surgeons here, and at the top end globally.
  4. Your hair type certainly helps, but outrageously successful is probably fair in regards to how much of a cosmetic improvement this was. Looks like a few spots need a touch up but it's the same for 99% of patients. A small FUE should get things perfect, and the design of the hairline is very impressive too.
  5. "Somebody like you" As in someone who actually cares about facts? Someone who tells others to avoid clinics entirely that could potentially put them in a dangerous situation? Despite the fact that you act as your claims are self-evident with zero evidence to back anything up, and think that Dr W00ds work is anything but butchery. You're embarrassing.
  6. Despite the fact that you act as if that is self-evident with zero evidence to back it up, and think that Dr Woods work is anything but butchery. You're embarrassing.
  7. The majority I showed weren't repair cases. I specifically don't think he should have a consultation in Australia because as a noob patient there's a possibility he gets suckered into the marketing of the clinics he goes to a consult with, makes a bad decision and ends up butchering himself. In particular I wouldn't trust a consult of W00ds because his beliefs and results are way out of wack with the rest of the industry, the information he receives is unlikely to be helpful. What can "realistically be achieved" is dependent on the skill of the surgeon, which is low in the case of W00ds and therefore his commentary on that potential is going to be low. Honestly OP, I would strongly recommend you don't waste time with a consult with any Australian clinic and stick with Erdogan. If you want some other options for extra opinions, consult Lorenzo and Lupanzula who are also in Europe, but they're quite a bit more expensive. "Perhaps this doctor turns away 21 year olds who want 3500k grafts into their hairline, who knows?" Also what is noble about this? A surgeon who is unwilling to perform an aggressive hairline restoration on ANY patient in their early twenties is simply not confident in their abilities as a surgeon, or purely focused on reputation via virtue signalling. There is no logical reason to think this. Americans can join the army and risk their lives at seventeen years old, the idea that a guy in their early twenties on finasteride (85% chance of maintenance of baseline to at least 10 years) can't accept the risks of a hair transplant to undertake an aggressive hairline restoration like a guy in their 30s is absurd.

  9. Google "Celebrity hair transplants Joe T". He's a good resource.
  10. Pure semantics. Either way, W00ds isn't a competent surgeon by 2018 standards.
  11. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/search.php?searchid=3227842 "I don't think what I have said is outside of common knowledge. Bisanga is well known for only taking on cases where they can get a really good result." Despite the fact that he's well known for repair work by anyone whos done a tiny little bit of research.
  12. Not unusual at all, you've said a lot of silly things before such as that Bisanga doesn't take difficult cases and quite frankly considering that W00ds has some of the worst FUE results in the world of any regarded surgeon (mainly because he pioneered FUE) I don't think you're a good source of info if you would tell someone to go anywhere near him. I'm also an Australian myself so did heavy research into surgeons here and W00ds stood out as one who was particularly ridiculous. https://www.knudsen.com.au/hair-transplant-before-after-slider On Knudsen look at the 651 graft case near the middle (aside from all the rest). Just horrible work.
  13. Then your opinion and judgement of aesthetics is absolutely horrible and you should do more research, also into his ethical practises over the years. Saying it can only be a positive for a noobie to consult a surgeon who is known for being unethical, attacking other surgeons and having crackpot opinions that don't align with the mainstream is simply not true. The man in 2018 still doesn't even use HD recordings for his videos. Pluggy, multi grafts in the hairlines, irregular density, ludicrous and unnatural design, lack of any cosmetic improvement, tiny graft numbers and density which is well behind the times and some of his work using BHT quite frankly is leaving people looking like Frankenstein. Get real.
  14. Don't consult Knudsen or especially not Dr. W00ds who is a horrible surgeon and well behind the times. W00ds likes to discredit the entire FUE industry on a regular basis and is considered by most to be a crackpot. Also he charges $10 per graft, which is not joke when his results are complete garbage. How can you in good faith recommend consultation with Dr W00ds when looking at his horrible results? Funny enough also on my flight from Qatar on the way back from Turkey the guy I was sitting next to on the flight had had an 850 graft FUT from Knudsen and it looked like a thin, diffused ratsnest of a hairline, although the main issue was that everything behind it had gone. There are virtually no recent results available to look at from Knudsen on his website or elsewhere online. If FUT is a consideration why in the world would you pay more with Knudsen even including travel than you would if you chose top-end surgeons like Rahal or Hasson/Wong who have proven track records? Stupidity. OP, consult some other clinics like Lorenzo's or Hasson/Wongs if you feel you need a second opinion, but don't waste your time with incompetent Australian doctors.
  15. Just a quick look at your case, looks good but get the fk back on finasteride mate. You've got general thinning all across the scalp and a weak donor, the "discomfort in the groin area" is a common side that occurs for the vast majority of finasteride users and disappears after the first 2-4 weeks. It's stupid not to be on finasteride in your case, you're not being "safe" by getting off the drug due to a non-issue when a much larger one is going to arise without it.
  16. Although balding in the late teens and early 20s is unparalleled levels of horrific in terms of the rapid decline in quality of life, people definitely underestimate how much a full head of hair can do for a guy even in their 40s and 50s. It's a huge knock down to be noticeably balding in your 20s because 90% of the competition have perfect hair, in your late 30s and beyond having hair becomes a massive competitive advantage because the vast majority are suddenly dealing with issues themselves. Hair is life.
  17. I find that most of the people who say this are in their late 30s and 40s. Young guys want to feel like young guys mate, what they "need" is up to them, not someone who is already well past their years of starting graduate work, dating regularly, using hookup apps and living in the age of social media where 90% of their peers have hair that looks like a work of art.
  18. Absolutely not. You're well on track for just over 4 months, and saying that you have "zero growth" makes it sound like you have mental problems. You need to calm down and forget about things for a while, your problem isn't lack of growth its anxiety towards something you can't control. I strongly suspect you're going to get a good result. By 7 months you'll feel much better I'm sure.
  19. Personally I would say if you can stomach the 12 month waiting list by choosing Konior I would opt for him, otherwise Gabel would be a very fine choice too. There is nothing to suggest Gabel didn't act ethically post-op to resolve the issue in the case in question and I could find you multiple bad results from every single "top" surgeon in the world, other than Konior perhaps (which I'm sure is luck to some degree, and likely there are some out there which I haven't seen). What matters is probabilities of success which are high in the case of both of these surgeons, and that in the case of a poor result they will offer a solution, because even in the US not all of them do and some highly regarded surgeons recommended here even make a point about NOT rectifying or compensating for poor results.
  20. Give it at least 10 days from the date of the procedure so it can be nice and clean with all the scabs off and healed nicely. Most studies give about 7 days before you should have no issues with the grafts being anchored, and definitely fine at 10. Cosmetically noticeable scarring with an FUE at that number is unlikely to be an issue even with a tight buzz after the redness goes away, or you grow it out for even a month in which case no one will notice.
  21. I went to ASMED from Australia, there are simply no options in this country so regardless of who you opt for you will have to travel if you want good results. I'd say get it done. 4000 sounds realistic if the thinning areas are to be filled.
