  1. Pictures suggest you dont need a HT. I could see a desire to lower it 1cm, but why take the risk of a cr4ppy outcome.
  2. You want the smallest area on top, so I'd suggest egg shaped like on the right:
  3. Mine wasnt too red, but had a noticeabley different shade. However, it was not as bad as expected.
  4. It is safe to shave your head completely now. I think 3 or maybe 4 weeks post op is the recommendation but I'm sure you can check the instructions they hand out.
  5. I'm not saying he wont need another HT at some point or will stop balding. I would always tell someone to consider having to get 3 or 4 over a 20 year period. You also have to be willing to accept bald or thin areas to stay thin either now or later in life, e.g. a thin crown. If you cant accept that then I guess you're just not ready for a HT.
  6. The patient here doesn't have an advanced pattern. I'd say he was a NW3 and the doc would have looked at the remaining hair on the top of his head to see if it was exhibiting signs of thinning. Evidently, whatever he saw was not significant enough to rule out the agrressive approach taken. Also, the 18-month post op photos do not appear to show any noticeable deterioration behind the transplants.
  7. No, that is ok. Take what you can get away with and are comfortable with. I'm actually doing 1.25mg every 3rd day at the moment and no sides.
  8. Looks good. Not much you can do now as it's a waiting game. Maybe take biotin supplements to speed up hair growth. Some people use minoxidil but I don't think it's worth it unless youve used it before and know it doesnt inflame the scalp.
  9. I think he was an associate of Dr Rudi De Reys who used to be part of this site, and they both started out at Belgian clinic. But I could be wrong. No idea if he's any good.
  10. I think you may have misunderstood. He charges on session size not on a per graft basis for FUT (1500-2000, 2000-2500...and so on) and there is no way he would charge $25,000 for 1000 grafts FUT. It is most likely calculated on time and the number of staff he would need to pay for the approximate number of grafts required. For example he may need 5 people for 1500-2000 grafts, and 8 for 3000-3500.
  11. Donor looks a bit patchy so I'd get that evaluated in person by a high end coalition doctor recommended by this site.
  12. Unlikely. These shampoos need to stay on for 5 minutes+ and even then it would probably require prolonged use to have any effect. I wouldnt worry about it. BTW, looks like a nice HT
  13. Turkey is gung-ho for transplants and it is not uncommon for them to go 3000-5000. Problem is the quality may well suffer and a high percentage never grow. The grafts are wasted and your chances of getting a decent second HT (repair) are significantly reduced. Safi seems like an ethical guy and HRBR aren't bad either. Smaller daily sessions are safer in case you get a poor outcome. I think 2000-2500 is about right
  14. That's not quite right though as i checked back and you said : Dr. Konior is offering to do 3,000-3,500 grafts (based on pictures; he'll be able to give a more precise number after doing a microscopic evaluation) for $25,000. So that's roughly $8 a graft for an FUT of this size.
  15. I called in on Dr K back in 2014 and observed him perform an FUT on a patient. (Strip removal and an hour or so of grafting). The patient consented beforehand. He uses needles (19,20,21 guage etc) to make an incision into which his lead tech inserts the graft immediately after. Another tech supplies the lead tech with the grafts according to requirements. Grafts are handled with foreceps not implanters. Interestingly he doesnt do one area completely in one go. He would start the hairline off and then move to another zone, then go back later and build up the density. Not a bad idea as you can go back and tweak things depending on how it pans out.
  16. I would stick with the numbers you have but put an asterix that it is *case dependent. Both my FUEs were a price per graft, but if you want no shave donor then it could conceivably go $16 or even higher. Also, if you schedule a date next year you get the 2020 price. As far as I know he doesn't charge if he strays a bit above the agreed graft number, e.g pay for 1000 and he decides to do 1100, no extra charge. Hence, $13,000 becomes $11.8/graft. ..and dont forget the state tax at about 10%. FUT I've no idea as back in the day it was not purely on a per graft basis.
  17. Some of mine also stopped but didnt shed, but then seemed to start growing several months later.
  18. I had a few that kept growing, but it really was a few hundred at most (10%). Initial growth is mostly the existing hair being shed and working its way out, which can take up to month.
  19. There's a guy who doesn't post but I've conversed with over private message. He made it into the USA earlier this month by first travelling out of the UK to a country not on the USA and UK travel quarrantine, and spending 14.5 days there, before onward journey into the US. It was touch and go and they interviewed him on arrival, however, he managed to pull it off.
  20. Saw this post on another forum which I thought was a bit odd compared to what you say above(?) I had surgery with Couto My result was OK. Not fantastic but better than average. I had better yield with Feriduni, Mwamba and Vila I have 3 friends who have had surgery with Dr Couto. 2 are extremely unhappy (one of them had a horrible result) and the other one is satisified The amount of impressive work he does in non deniable #25 Mustang, May 6, 2020
  21. You would have to trim your eyebrows weekly for the rest of your life. Really not worth it based on the pictures you linked Hairline, maybe. Have a look at Gabel, Mohebi and Carmen if confined to the West coast.
