  1. There's a guy on youtube who reports on bodybuilding - Dave Palumbo. He's had a - not that great HT in the past - and I remember he did a video about a year ago explaning he got SMP added. I think he said his sister started a business doing it. Prior to this he used a heavy amount of concealers which didnt look great. His channel is RX Muscle. If you search SMP you might find his video.
  2. You appear to be thinning from the neck up (retrograde) and from the crown down. Also above the ears. All these together point to quite a limited donor. Without medication I'm sure you will end up a NW6 at least. Sorry. See how you get on with fin. If you really want to go full force you see if a doctor will prescribe DUT, but at this stage just try fin for at least 6-12 months. You might then be able to get 4000 - 5000 fairly safe grafts if you're absolutely able to commit to the meds for life. Even in the possible green band of donor hair below, some hairs may be unsafe.
  3. How many lifetime grafts might I have? How bald do you think I might end up 20, 30 years down the line? What is the long term plan? Where is the safest place to put the hairline based on the above answers?
  4. Two hall of famers. Most people don't post their results. You're lucky if 6 a year do which is probably no more than 2% per annum. You may find more Shapiro results on Hair loss Experiences. I think Dr Josephitis does all the FUE extractions for Ron and Paul, but the latter do the designs, incisions, and maybe the critical placement in the front hairline...unless things have changed since I last looked. I'm sure Dr J also does his own patients.
  5. There's about 41 exceptional results, but what about the other 4959 surgeries he did in (I'm guessing) the last 10 years? The 41 are probably the top 1% of results. You have to have great donor, excellent hair qualities, and maybe even be a fin responder to get these types of outcomes. They do look really good but I would advise the average guy not to expect the same outcome as you could end up very disappointed.
  6. You will have to give it 12 months, maybe even 15 before a Doctor will even consider if a free repair is necessary. Your doctor will likely have made you sign a disclaimer: "results vary"; "risk of permanent shockloss", "in some instances growth may be sub optimal"... They will probably have no obligation to provide a free surgery. I think most top doctors would only give a free repair if they felt something had gone wrong that has left a cosmetically unnacceptable result. Having a slightly thinner side, but overall 'natural look' probably doesnt fall into that category. If it was just the case that permanent shockloss of existing hair has occured then they cant really be held responsible for that. It's a difficult one to answer really.
  7. I think you are growing slightly slower than average but it does not mean it's a failure. Wait until around 15 months before passing judgement. Your hair looks on the finer side.
  8. Cups of soapy warm water for the first 7 days, no massaging. AFTER THE FIRST WEEK: The transplanted area can be directly shampooed using gentle pressure beginning one week after surgery. The shower stream can directly hit the transplanted area with a stronger force at this time also. The transplanted area should be washed daily and directly using a very light and gentle massaging motion.
  9. I've not got time to trawl his 5000+ posts I'm afraid. It's just an observation that stuck with me over recent years.
  10. Lol One thing I did notice 'over the years' is that whenever some celeb was mentioned in the press, he would comment somewhere about 'having met them'. "I've met Wayne several times and his hair looks great" "The last time I met David Beckham his hair looked really good" "I've seen Bradley (Cooper's) hair in person and his donor looks strong" Seemed a bit phoney most of the time.
  11. What sl said. I think I had 150 grafts each side, lying flat as possible. Density needs to be close to adjacent hairs and 'flow' in the same direction. Newer HT doctor's are often told to avoid doing them until they have mastered their technique, generally. Being 35 years or above has been stipulated as a generalised cut off point, but it's case dependent as always.
  12. A few years back I met some HT industry guys at a meet up in London. They had a few things to say about his past conduct, believe me... He has his fans but many detractors too. I saw the 'This Morning' thing as I was on leave that day and by chance saw a trailer for it. I don't normally watch that daytime sh1te, but tuned in for it. It was the same old "I spent £40k fixing my hair" story which we've heard a million times. They had a representative from the HS Hair Clinic who could barely string a sentence together. I don't think the poor guy was used to being on TV and English wasnt his first language. It's a shame these shows don't do more to explain the nuts and bolts of HTs.
  13. Yeah I started going grey around 30. Glad to have stopped doing it though....a waste of time!
  14. Dr Konior doesnt require it either, or at least he didn't on my 2 x FUE. The daily checkups took care of it.
  15. Most definately a Trump trademark. He had a cameo in Wall Street 'Money Never Sleeps' which didn't make the cut. I think you can find it on you tube or the DVD extras. He tells Gordon Gekko he would "look great with a comb-over".
  16. It was probably 2,200-2,500 grafts based on that many hairs.
  17. Up to 1750 at the front and 750 at the back, I would say.
  18. I think Trump had a scalp reduction in the crown area. The 'Mercedes' scar. Last year he was pictured with slick backed hair which looked pretty normal:
  19. 10,000 grafts and still not enough: https://dru.com/severely-bald-norwood-7-patient-cured-with-dr-ugraft-bht-system/
  20. Yes, front (100cm2), crown (100cm2), left and right side above ears (100cm2)...+ another 100cm2 to tackle the deep crown area and any weak spots. 400cm2 x 50 grafts/cm2 = 20,000
  21. Avoid like the plague and don't take any value in well known patient gurus who recommend him.
