I think you could probably get up to 6000 in total before it starts to look rather thin at the back. You really must go to a doc who doesn't waste a single graft. depending on how the front looks, I'd only go 1500-1800 tops. Surgeries 2 and 3 later down the line would be about 2000 a piece. You will probably only have enough for the frontal 2/3rds at best. A doctor utilzing a small punch and well spread out extractions should hopefully leave you with a reasonable 'get out' to cut things short in the future, but no real guarantees.

Saifi in Poland or Demirsoy in Turkey are two of the more ethical yet low cost surgeons. I'd really stay away from those unlimited graft type places. A work colleague of mine went to one and had 5000 grafts for about EUR3000. The result looks more like 1500-2000 tops on a NW5.

Extractions are definately too close together, but all you can do is wait 12 months and see how it looks.

Yes. If there is no cosmetic benefit and those hairs are on the way out, it's generally best to treat it as completely bald area.

An interesting idea. The chart below is useful at showing the effectiveness vs Fin. Suggest to me that you can come off fin (5mg) and within 4 weeks you're back to normal DHT. DUT gives a much slower return. These are daily doses shown below, ending after 24 weeks.

Hard to tell how solid your donor hair is from those photos. That said, i think you could probably get enough out of it to cover the hairline to vertex area.

I'm not convinced follicles and hairs can be thickened. Things like minoxidil and fin seem to have the effect of preventing shedding, which collectively makes hair look thicker. But in reality it is just more hair, not thicker hair strands. No expert on it though.

Yeah, they are in here somewhere. If you search titles for 'Konior 4,320' or 'Konior 1,145' they should come up. (it's 4,320 in the title not 4,312. Had the wrong number) It always seems to look redder in photos. Though a possible reason is I'd combed my hair just prior. I'm one of those guys who temporaily reddens at the slightest skin scratch.

I think he was $12 when I booked (2019 booking for 2020 surgery). Probably $13-14 now. Was thinking the other day that my 6220 grafts are now 'worth' $87,000 lol, but the majority were FUT not FUE.

18 months final result and very happy with it. My hair is somewhat shorter in this as I'm self haircutting (can't be bothered with barbers at the moment) and a grade 4/5 at the top of the sides is a lot easier to do.

I've had branded (Propecia and Proscar) over the years. No different from generics. If you are hesitant with 0.5 then go 0.25mg instead. Try it every 2 days to start, or just Mon, Wed, Fri and forget the weekend.

I have it now and again but not on every dose. Take it at night just before bed and the effects should mostly have worn off by the morning. Also take less if you have 1mg pills. Take 0.5 every other day.

As others suggested, you're probably a better fit for Hasson & Wong. For the same price as Dr K, they can do around 6000 grafts. You could sort out the front 2/3rds or your head and live with a pleasing result for a few years (5+). As you get older it gets easier to finance top ups, as most people only start to accumulate real wealth past their 30s. Of course that's not always the case and depends on peoples particular circumstances. You also won't need as many grafts the 2nd and 3rd HTs. 1mg x 3 times a week is a good idea. Later down the line you can consider some options such as: 1)Another one or two FUTs + a third FUE 2)Cutting your losses with a big FUE to fill in the scar and tidy up the top. In option 2 you probably wont be able to shave down completely, but then again I don't see many guys who really do that, especially guys getting into their late 30s and beyond.
