Let me know what you guys think of these pics. Mature hairline or MPB. If you think it is the latter, what should I do?

I"m considering getting a hair transplant to fill in the areas that have receded. For some time I've been researching doctors and the name Scott Alexander comes up quite a bit. If you were going to get a transplant would you go to Scott Alexander? I spoke with him through Skype and he seemed quite honest and down to earth. Some years prior I had a consultation with Dr. Diep and I didn't get a very good feeling from him. I've also read positive things about Dr. Baubac. So any comments / advise would be appreciated

Hello, I have no other place and no other people to ask for opinions. I want to tell you my story, and I want opinions on what I should do based on my case; I am 20 years old. I've had a very receded and high hairline since birth, I've always somewhat of a bald head. I have very receded temples, and a very high frontal hairline. It has killed my confidence since I was a child, till today. Of course, now, I have some products to help me hide it and some style I do. But, it takes me literally around 1-2 hours EVERYDAY to fix it to somehow hide my baldness. It frustrates me, drains me

I don't know if I'm receding, I've always been paranoid and I am searching for confirmation. Some say I am receding bad, some say its just a widows peak but idk. I am not comfortable styling hair up anymore. Last pic is scalp.

I am 20 years old, Gained a lot of weight past few years and am obese, wondering if these things can affect my hair. And if I am losing it can I get it back or would I need surgery? Really don't want to go bald or lose my hair.

Hello, I've been flicking through many of these threads while conducting my research into the best approach for managing/correcting my receding hairline. I'm 25 and from the UK. I've been taking Finasteride for about 6 months but am unsure as to the results. I appear to be shedding hair still. Is this normal? I've had a few consultations already and have been advised that to restore my hairline I will require 2000 grafts in a transplant procedure. I have a good, thick, donor area and no loss on the crown. I would like to know whether it is advisable for me to opt for a transp

I would love feedback on these two blog pieces I wrote about hair loss. They contain about everything I have learned and also share my story and heartache regarding hair loss. (Link removed by moderator - See Terms of Service)

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me out. My hair has been thinning/receding for a few years. My hairloss has progressed from my temples only to my whole hairline. Btw I am 22 years old. Judging by these pictures, what insight can you give me? Would you suggest beginning Propecia? Should I wait out for future hairloss treatments (Hair Cloning, etc.) I would appreciate the feedback. Thanks;)

I have been taking .5mg of Avodart daily for about 5 months. It has made my existing hair thicker and grow much faster (but I had no problems with hairloss in any area but the temples). The side effects were noticeable for the first few months but have slowly gone away. My main problem is the mixed results I have received in the temples and frontal area. I endured a vigorous shedding period when first taking the medicine that subsided for a few months but has re-occurred the past month. I noticed that my temple hair was still falling out at the same clip it was prior to beginning the treat

Hi everyone I'm 18 years old. I've used Regaine for almost 2 years and it has definitely slowed down my temple receding but it has got worse. As well as this, my hair is starting to thin at my crown quite quickly. I know I started going bald very young which is why I'm wondering whether finasteride/propecia is worth doing. In all honesty, I am fine with going bald in the long run. However, I'm still at college and plan on going to university. I really want to be able to keep my hair thick and healthy throughout my teens and education. I know a lot of people can relate to that! I've

Hi I've been using Regaine/Rogaine on my receding temples for about a year now and over the last few weeks I've noticed slight thinning at the back of my head, at the crown area.. I'm 18, hating this experience as a whole...wondering whether I should now begin to use double the amount of Regaine? Like, should I continue to put a palm splodge on my temples and then even more to the back of my head, or split the amount I currently use? Could you guys also recommend anything else that could help? Maybe Propecia? Maybe some links to good places to get it in the UK? A lot of sites seem

Hi guys It's been a while since I've come on the forum. I'll make it one of my tasks in the new year to come on more and answer to other people as well. I'm 18 I've been using Regaine/Rogaine for about a year now. It has definitely slowed things down up until recently where I feel my hair is thinning quicker at my temples and a tiny bit at the crown of my head. I've heard things about Proscar or Propecia? Are these available in stores? I'm from the UK and wonder if I should be getting these. Do they work as a good combination with Regaine? I've got quite a lot of questions that nee

Hey guys, I went to the hair dressers today. My hair dresser knows that I'm receding and is careful with how she cuts it, however today she recommended me using hair mousse and put some on for me after it was cut. Is this a good idea? It feels good on my hair at the minute and has stopped it from looking really dry, however I feel it won't be good in the long run... I'm almost 18 and my hair is receding and thinning on the top, not so much that it's very obvious but people can notice more and more recently. I've been told commercial products may help in the short term to make it look l

Hey guys This is my second post now...I know I really need to start answering other peoples questions and I will soon For those who haven't looked at my profile. I'm 17 and I have a receding hairline. I'm wondering how much a hair transplant costs? and what is the process? anything else I should be aware of? I've said before I'm not afraid of going bald in the long run, however I will consider the transplant if it saves me going bald while I'm in college or university...it just seems out of the ordinary! again, I know this is asked often and very difficult to answer, but how l

Hey everyone I'm 17 and I'm from the UK. My hair started receding last year and got quite aggressive within the first few months until I started using Regaine and a shampoo which was also meant to reduce hair loss. However, my hair still does seem to be getting worse. Are they any other treatments to have done? I am not afraid of going bald in the long run. I just don't want to go bald while I'm at college or when I go to university. I've noticed the slightest thinning at the crown of my head also but that may just be my imagination taking over as I worry pretty often about it. Only very

Hey everyone. So I've been losing my hair now for about 2-3 years. It has bothered me every single day to the point that I've changed the way I live. I mostly am a Class 3 on the Norwood Scale. I mostly thought my hairline was receding from the corners but from some recent pictures I've seen, it's getting thin on the crown too. I'm 21 years old and WANT to do something about it now. I'm not sure what has accelerated my hair loss but I have gone through many episodes of physical and mental stress. I also have a bald spot where my mid hairline meets my sideburn. The bald spot and corner recessio

Hi everyone, I'm new here and this is my first post. After years of maybes and hmmms I've decided to go for it and get rid of the thing I hate when I look in the mirror. My journey has just started though and I need some advice and guidance. I know what I want, I know the exact hairline I would like and I think it's very achievable considering the thickens of my hair at the back and the area to be covered is not massive I think. I am also very firm that I would like FUE. After much thought the FUT procedure just doesn't appeal to me. Scars on the back of my head, however small are
