  1. I wouldn't worry about it as I can see native hair in that area so it will fill in. Good luck growing.
  2. Among the best if not THE best in the industry. Just take a look at their catalog of past patients, it is incredible.
  3. Good luck Matt you are in very capable hands.
  4. Take some better pics using a well lit room and get them off to some of the leading clinics for some answers!!! A mega session might be in your future...
  5. 2 of your 5 no-nos are way off: Staples are used by almost all of the top surgeons and the vast majority of clinics use techs to do the graft placement.
  6. Great that they were able to combine the two scars into one. Look forward to seeing the work... Good luck!
  7. In his before pictures they shaved the top of his head which accounts for the miracle transformation. Nonetheless this looks like a good result, the before pics could have been presented a bit differently though.
  8. Yeah at this point all you can do is wait, it is still fairly early in the game. I can understand your apprehension though after your first bad experience but it does look like you have had some growth so I wouldn't get too discouraged at this point. Good luck.
  9. I would just call Matt Zupan or Janna directly. Maybe if you go through this site it takes a bit longer to get to the clinic I am not sure, but I do know for a fact that Janna and Matt return e-mail and calls very promptly... usually the same day.
  10. This is a very good result for 2500 grafts providing awesome coverage for a NW 5-6.
  11. One scar s better than two without a doubt. If the second surgery was planned out in advanced and he thinks he can merge the two then that sounds like a good game plan. Good luck with with your healing and growth.
  12. Like others have said I think your work looks very clean and I think the hairline design is just about perfect. It is more of a mature hairline but I think it will serve you well a few years down the road, plus you probably have more in reserve if needed in the future. Looks good to me.
  13. Respect to Dr. Vogel for telling you the unvarnished truth about your hair. Better this conservative approach with Propecia than to get a procedure that ends up doing much more damage than good. You must be disappointed but remember a bad transplant would make your life a living hell and would do damage to your self image. Thanks for telling us how it went.
  14. Considering the average hair count per graft on mere mortals is usually around two hairs, consider this: If most, (say 75% of his 2835 grafts which is 2126) as Dr. Keller states, of his grafts were 4 hair grafts that would yield 8504 hairs. Let's say the remaining 709 grafts were single hair grafts. His surgery yielded a total of 9213 hairs which for most folks would equate to around 4606 grafts. Lucky dog.
  15. I can think of three distinct cases of necrosis presented on this board. It is rare but it definitely does happen. Necrosis could be caused by any number of things including over use of epinephrine to control bleeding, dense packing, physiology, and/or a number of other factors. To say this was caused by the patients inability to keep his recipient area clean is far fetched at best. Ease off on this patient he is going through a tough time.
  16. Wow those plugs were horrible, here's hoping that doc is out of business. Excellent result, feel good for this guy.
  17. You could wear a knit cap pulled down over your brows once the grafts are secure and nobody would be the wiser. Indecision is a bummer as I am in the midst of it myself. The time to do it is when the weather is cold so the hat could be used. Screw up the courage and do it and be done with it. Easier said than done...
