  1. If by saying he "gets' more women than any celeb you really mean he "pays" for more hookers than Charlie Sheen, than yes I agree you with. Bunga bunga!!
  2. Yeah I got it Brian. On a site that has literally thousands of 'before, during and after pics" it is funny (or is it just sad?) that the OP is throwing a temper tantrum because other posters aren't posting enough examples for him to look at.
  3. Good to hear. Dr. Charles has always come across as a straight shooter.
  4. The design looks great I think you will be happy with it. I don't think I've ever seen a complete beard transplant before... very cool. I wish I could trade you my beard for some of your head hair!! I shave every day and it is a hassle... Good luck.
  5. Do a little research on the forum here, there are tons of threads about testing testosterone levels, side effects, and everything else involved with taking Propecia. Some guys will tell you that it is the worse thing imaginable and that your joint will fall off if you take it and there are people that swear by it and have taken it for years and years. For what it is worth I have been on Finasteride for about 2 years now and did experience a few sides the first few months but they disappeared soon after that.
  6. ^^Yup^^ After seeing you were in the paradise of Hawaii the green wheels are starting to make more sense to me. I say live with them for a while and check the vibe. That review by the Fifth Gear was impressive. Those guys, especially the big dorky one, are usually very difficult to please and he gave it a great review. He pulled it back a bit after driving it in the rain but you know its rear wheel drive and prone to oversteer so driving in the rain should not be an issue for any driver that has talent. That Contour SVT aka The Mini SHO was a great car. Make your next car a 911 and your sports car progression will be complete! Have fun with it.
  7. Ah the good ole Wankel Engine... smooth power delivery. I had an RX-7 back in the day, fun little car. Do those wheels glow in the dark? Got Rice?

  9. Looking good Nick. Already at 4 months you are way ahead of where you started from. The upcoming months should be fun to watch. You are coming in a bit uneven but that is not uncommon, it will all even out.
  10. I know reps from other Docs such as Joe and Spex probably will not get involved in this thread but can anyone discuss whether or not the meds given to Hairguy seem to be excessive or are they standard operating procedure for the industry? I was alert and coherent during my procedures and I never once fell asleep although I know that everyone reacts differently to meds...
  11. Filling in your crown with FUE should be no problem especially if your sides are good to go. Natural hairlines are very often slightly asymmetrical so that may not be as much as an issue as you think, the kind of thing that only you may be able to notice. Posting pics is the only way to get honest feedback.
  12. Looking great man, you are one of the few people that can pull off the fauxhawk!! Fantastic result.
  13. Hairguy thanks for your service to the country, sorry that you are going through this type of experience. Personally I thought it was in bad form for your PTSD/depression to be mentioned the way it was in this thread, as I see it having no bearing on the events that unfolded on the day of your surgery. I can understand why you are upset. That first picture you posted of your hairline looks quite frankly really bad. It reminds me of Jamie Fox's hairline... low and boxed in with closed off temples, the kind that gets painted on or shaved in with a razor. A "hip hop hairline" if you will, the problem is that I've never seen a hairline like that on a white guy. Subsequent pictures appear to make it look a bit better but still way too low for my taste and obviously yours. Also the quality of the work looks bad which is a bit confusing since Dr. Umar has done some really great work for many patients, such as Wylie, and has changed lives for the better. The multi-hair grafts in the hairline is particularly puzzling as it is a rookie mistake. In terms of the placement of the hairline it seems as if some of the blame may lie with you for insisting on an "aggressive hairline." However even if a patient insists on something that will just not work aesthetically, it is the responsibility of the physician to be the voice of reason and temper the patient's expectations, especially if they are a bit unrealistic. If Dr. Umar was reluctant to do such an aggressive hairline I would have liked to seen him "pass" on you as a patient. Also the fact that you showed up late on the day of your surgery seems to have added to some of the confusion as I can see in the rush to get things underway the proper time was probably not taken to design a hairline. Again if things were rushed to the point of being uncomfortable the best thing would have been to reschedule. The clinic did say it was ok though so that responsibility falls to them. Good luck with everything, as a guy who has had a bad transplant I know how devastating it can be. It sounds as if some type of refund may be in order here and you should just try to move on if you can.
  14. Funny I am posting this from my iPhone right now and have been visiting the site from my mobile for some time. A bit of zooming is needed but other than that accessing the site from a mobile is no problem..
  15. Personally I would much rather recuperate at my home than hang around a hotel room for a week or two.
  16. If you are flying back usually it is recommended that you leave the day after your surgery. The other option is to stay at least a week to 10 days and get your staples/sutures out and fly home in comfort. If you hang around a few days you risk swelling up while being on the plane and that would just be uncomfortable. Why would you make up a story at customs? Just tell them the purpose of your trip and be done with it.
  17. Good luck Grafty it looks like some nice work done by Dr. Gabel. The close up photography is outstanding, you can really see the lateral slit technique employed as clear as day. You seem to have wavy/coarser type hair that will go a long way in providing coverage. I expect a great result for you. Now hurry up and wait. =)
  18. I have to say that Dr. Hasson is the only strip doc that I have heard really emphasize the technique of varying the width of the strip and endlessly checking for tension during strip excision. Varying strip width, especially over the occipital/mastoid processes where there is more tension than the back and sides, seems to be a key factor in reducing tension on the wound. Also the amount of time that he (and Doc Wong) takes during the strip excision is very telling.
  19. Spanker will make a great online rep for you Dr. K. He is always honest and straight forward and will be an asset for your practice. Congrats!
