Yes the Shapiro bros are among the best at hairlines. The "micro-irregularities" as they call them, end up looking very natural. Good luck growing I think you'll be a happy camper in about 7 or so months.

A bad strip scar can be hidden, crappy work in front and on top is much more devastating. If you feel compelled to shave your head don't even consider FUT.

If you are truly depressed, and not just getting the blues, you need to speak to a therapist or perhaps a psychiatrist. There have been many studies showing that exercise is just as effective as anti-depressant meds in alleviating symptoms of depression. If you are not getting enough exercise, as in daily exercise such walking, running, or lifting weights, you should start today. If all else fails seek professional help, it is nothing to be ashamed of, and it sounds like you know you need it.

If one Doc turned you away because of diffused thinning then I think getting 600-800 grafts from anyone would probably be a mistake. Keep doing your research and unless you have some chica fresca en Mexico I would just go there for vacation.

What you're seeing is the kids forehead through his bangs. People don't normally grow hair on their foreheads so yes it is normal to see scalp(or forehead) there.

Beautiful work Dr. K. Hope you had a great summer! We've consulted a few agonizing times and the only thing I can say is I wish I knew you about 15 years ago. I'm sure you've been asked this before, but I can't recall seeing it so I'll ask it again. Your post-operative work is literally clean as a whistle. No other clinic, besides maybe Dr. Gable in some cases, comes close to the same clean looking newly implanted grafts. What do you credit this to? Is your use of epinephrine to control bleeding different than other clinics? Are you more careful at placing the grafts?

Beautifully clean work post operatively and excellent growth at 6 months.

Wylie can you post some pictures of the underside of your jaw and neck where they took your beard grafts? I'm interested in seeing how that area ultimately healed up. Thanks.

You have just gone through the worst of it and things will start to happen soon. Again try not to think about it and stop constantly looking in the mirror. You know the cliche that a "watched pot never boils." Growth starts at different times but usually at the 3-4 month is a bit of a turning point. I would check with your doc (which I'm sure you have already) about your sutures if they are bothering you. Good luck again.

No offense but you need to try to relax. You call yourself nervousguy and you really live up to that name every time you post! Every post is doom and gloom. Just try to live your life, let time pass and your procedure grow in. Constantly obsessing about every little thing and how it relates to hair growth is doing you no good. Talk to your doctor, maybe you need some Ambien or Xanax to get you through your anxieties and maybe a visit to a therapist wouldn't hurt either. Find a way to relax. I've found that meditation is a great way to unwind and deal with stress. There is an app called calm.com that will guide you through meditation sessions. Good luck.

End results look great, but to echo what others have said, the wet messed up hair before pics make it hard to tell for sure. This clinic does great work they should really present their work better!!
