  1. I think he should get a recommendation. He definitely has art in his hands. He can create create temple points/angles. He takes his time, does lower number FUE per day so he can concentrate at achieving the best yield maybe. His work looks clean and the results speak for themselves. Many people are satisfied, he provides complementary airport transfer, hotel to clinic transfers, lunch and a translator during the procedure but non inclusive of the other fees such as flight tickets and accommodation. That makes it comfortable for most international patients I bet. His FUE prices are pretty reasonably priced with no added cost, it's just a flat fee and it gives many the chance to have FUE at an affordable price. What is it like 3.5 Euro? I believe he uses a 0.8mm punch for FUE he designed himself and normally achieves 60 to 80 grafts per cm2 using 0.8 mm size . When I was considering to do surgery with him a while back, he said I am not suitable at the time and said to use meds. That just speaks volume about his character. I really think this guy should get a recommendation. There a few docs that would top my list and he is one of them. He has what it takes and he's got ethics. Just like Hariri, I am not a patient of his nor do I work for him. I just feel from the information I have and know, that this doctor should be part of the coalition doctors on this forum.
  2. nicky that is an amazing result! Dr. Feller did a great great job.
  3. Blake, how much is propecia from the forum's online store? Do you have the original propecia? proscar? as well as generic for sale?
  4. That's a pretty good result, especially for 2800 grafts. very nice
  5. They all got the heads to go bald. They can play it off smooth and it suits them really well. I think it suits Vin Deisel the most. I agree those are some tough mofos.
  6. I have my procedure with Dr. Rahal a few months after yours. He will perform FUE on me. I will be looking forward to seeing your results. Good luck with everything!
  7. I would hold off a little longer to see how things go, probably at least another 5 years. By then if it is stabilized, then maybe you should go for hair transplant. But if you continue to recede or anything, then wait longer. You can tell the outline and pattern of your hairloss by now. You can get a transplant later and it will work, but you have to just plan it wisely. what procedure you want and how many grafts. You may need more grafts but with money anything is possible. Check out all doctors, their reviews, their pricing, especially coalition ones. I've seen cases where severely scarred and bald individuals regained their hair and went to norwood 0. But that took 7,000 to over 20,000 grafts, and a lot of dough. But if you progress to norwood 6-7 then you might be looking at sessions over 5000 grafts and strip procedure may be of benefit to you. good luck with everything
  8. Sounds like a very very professional doc. Returning all 15 emails himself.
  9. Good luck with the appointment. The dermatologist should be able to help with what you will need.
  10. I guess there are so many factors to look at. Could be stress? Could be diet? Could be lack of sleep? What can trigger this? It just amazes me how some people that have no hairloss whatsoever, end up norwood 5's 10-15 years later, even if they have no loss at age 25-30. But If the person has been thinning since age 20-21 and losing hair, then I guess it is easier to determine the rate of baldness and thinning and how it will progress into the future. But surprise balding, may really cause a problem if there is family history of the condition. Regarding hairlines, does anyone really know how low can you really go? What is the lowest hairline ever performed on a patient? Is there a record? I am trying to search for cases that have had substantial hairline lowering on these forums. I have seen some but I'd like to see more cases with hairline lowering. I know some doctors have achieved miracles on people that did not even have a hairline, but it took 7,000 grafts or more to do their whole scalp if they were norwood 5 and beyond. Probably and most likely cost a fortune too. Some people got away with hairline lowering and framing with as little as 1500 grafts.
  11. Looks great and very dense. Very nice.
  12. I've always wondered this as well. I have seen some amazing results with all types of hair. Granted, I think some hair types need more use of grafts to achieve optimal results. But I think graft placement probably plays a big role in this as well. Some people achieve a perfect transplant with only 1600 grafts, while some need two or three procedures to get a similar result. I'd like to see results with similar hair characteristics as mine so I can get an idea myself. But it's hard to tell online, who may have similar characteristics, densities, etc.
  13. I think smokeless tobacco and cigarettes are both very harmful. I've read they mess up the nerves and cause longer times to heal during surgeries. Even tissue growth is reduced. So, by quitting, I think you wont lose hair but probably prevent it from receding rapidly. Maybe that's why some surgeons ask did you smoke couple days before or months before a procedure due to some of those factors? A cigarette has so many toxins, there are a couple ones that causes hairloss in it. The cigarette smoke alone reaching your scalp can probably thin out your hair or make you recede. But there are 4000 harmful chemicals in a cigarette, and around 50 or so are carcinogenic. That's some pretty serious stuff. I'd rather not put any tobacco in my system. By stopping it all completely, it's for the better. It probably takes anywhere between 3 months to 4-5 years for complete recovery depending on your age and smoking level I believe. Lungs take 4-5 years to fully clear of the tar and toxins. If you don't stop now you'll never know how it feels like to have healthy lungs again or how it feels like to breathe at full capacity. I think if you are to spend thousands on getting your hair back through hair restoration, quitting a cigarette is just as important for optimal growth and getting your money's worth.
  14. That is a big difference. Really turned out well. Congrats and as some would say "zabardast".
  15. Can't wait to see your results Mr. Nk.
  16. wow, what a result. It definitely looks great. I'd think you are in your twenties. Especially, looking at your 8 month update. congrats!
  17. That's very interesting. I guess the right amount and the right dose is good on the hair shaft. If it increased density and thickness in the hairshaft then this may be a very good addition to the other hair therapies on the market. Is it really expensive? The dose you are using? Do you have to continuously use it for effects or is it like a few months on and off thing. I know it plays a big role in anti aging. Great to see it worked for you so well. Good luck and hope you have a great result.
  18. I'd like to see the result of this case. I guess doing around 600 grafts per day might increase graft survival/yield? Ive seen some pretty impressive results by him.
  19. Are we talking about HGH as in Human Growth Hormone? If so, then glad you had a great result in combination with HGH. I always thought HGH would thin hair or shed it. Kind of like testosterone or steroid like therapies? I have read that some of these hormone treatments can cause frontal recession, higher forehead, thinner brittle hair. I don't know if it's accurate or not. A lot of body builders use the stuff.
  20. Nice hearing both sides of the story. But I gotta admit, I am impressed at what Dr. Umar is able to achieve with bht and scalp hair. Seen some pretty impressive results and I can't deny that. He has also helped patients that were severely disfigured before and that is a very ethical thing to do. So, as much as I appreciate both sides of the story here, I still think Dr. Umar's surgical results speak for themselves. He has had numerous satisfied patients. I can't really fully have a negative opinion about him but rather think this whole situation was communication error or misunderstanding on payment terms/rules. I agree with some posters regarding payment upfront prior to surgery. What if you don't pay prior, then cancel the procedure, then the doctor loses money on a client he could have made thousands from for that day. If the terms were not reasonable, then the patient could have gone elsewhere. If there was a feeling that the doctor was not communicating with the patient properly, then the patient could have just said forget this I am going somewhere else. There are a lot of "issues" that the original poster went through during this whole process. If you were unsatisfied prior to the surgery with payment terms, treatment, and so forth, then you could have went somewhere else. Why stick around till the end and when the clinic then cancels the procedure instead? But to go through all those "issues" then not have a transplant at all, and etc, then to come here to speak negatively about the doctor, as a way to get back at him, is probably not the right route to take. From those email messages, it seems like the doctor was communicating and responding to questions. But if you were dissatisfied with the emergency surgery change, you should have canceled right on the spot. If you had a problem with the payment terms, you should have canceled right on the spot. If you felt communication was not good enough, you should have canceled right on the spot. If you felt anything else didn't seem right from that point, you should have canceled on the spot. But instead, the clinic canceled you instead, maybe due to not adhering to the policies of the clinic. It's best to save all conversations, chats, emails, phone convo's and etc, when you are going to put down a lot of money for surgery. Especially discussing deals, agreements, and etc, as it may save headaches later on.
  21. It kind of gives an instant forecast of what the transplant may produce in a couple of months.
  22. Can't you try fue right now and opt for strip later if it progresses and you need more hair? You can do a combination depending on what works for you. But, if you keep hair really short, then maybe FUE is the only choice for now. Have you thought about FUE, along with beard hair fue or bht? Some surgeons can do that.
