  1. Please do share photos before and after treatment. I really have to see if this works. Other people are raving about it but if it works then I will definitely look into it. Did it say anything about the hair that regrows? Is it permanent or temporary until treatment is stopped? Thanks
  2. lowest i saw was $33 for 3 month supply (it costs $49.99 at CVS for this 3 month supply) to $149.95 for a 12 month supply(Amazon has it for nearly $200 for the same 12 month supply), so check ebay that's where i got the prices from and they seem to be better than most places
  3. This is the first time I have heard of this. Couldn't really find other sites discussing it. But I did come across some other site in the process talking about how military field dressing applied onto stitches can help shrink the scar to a very fine line that is hardly detectable. Could it be helpful with strip surgeries? I don't know but it could help.
  4. I do not think one bit creatine causes hairloss. All it does is put water into your muscles for mass/and strength. There is no testosterone / hormone being produced. You get it eating beef/meats as well. It's not that big of a issue and I believe it does not cause any hairloss at all. Now, if you are taking those testosterone enhancing pills, human growth hormone type supplements, then yea that is a cause for concern. That certainly does do damage.
  5. If you don't care about the price then you could basically find any surgeon in california that could work on your scalp. But I would research doctors with proven results only. Avoid any places that seem like they want to sell you something like a car salesman. Go for someone that explains everything ethically, and honestly tell you how much hair you have left as donor hair, your norwood pattern and so forth. There's so many doctors to choose from, it's just all down to what you want. Fue or Strip, how you want your hairline, conservative or framed face? so many things to consider
  6. Prices vary greatly. I mean you can get lot of 3, 5, 7, 9 and more off ebay. Sometimes you get lucky in the auction and can get many for the price of of one. It's probably your best bet.
  7. Hey, if this stuff is really proven to work, it may be worth a try. But I just can't believe such claims, they sound too good to be true. I'd rather wait and see if someone tries it before I buy it. The way this product sounds, it is as if it should be sold out. If it isn't then there is a cause for concern. It looks promising and tempting but I just don't know. I am not going to hate on this product but rather wait and see actual results by other forum members before I make the decision. Thanks for the info.
  8. Nizoral is the key shampoo. Another shampoo to use with it is Nioxin system one cleanser or system two. They work great together, give the effect of thicker fuller hair while keeping your scalp healthy and by reducing DHT. Stay away from the SLS shampoos and ones with harsh chemicals.
  9. Regardless, you lose hairs daily. If your hair is weak, it will fall even during the wash. But the best way to wash hair is to gently massage it all over, it improves circulation, and for a minute or two with shampoo. So it cleanses the scalp well, and washes away oils that may cause sebum etc., Use a good cleanser shampoo, and Nizoral. But Nizoral shouldn't really be applied daily from what I have read, rather it's like a 2-3 times a week only thing. Another shampoo that may be good, is Nioxin. I have used it along with Nizoral and found it to work well. In my personal opinion, it does make the hair stronger and thicker. But I have noticed that only with Nioxin system 1 cleanser. Proscar will probably keep existing hairs and possibly regrow some. Have you thought about finisteride? good luck
  10. What exactly is this stuff? It's the first time I am hearing about this but other members are enthusiastic about it. Is it some sort of medical therapy? So far, it seems that propecia/rogaine/hair transplantation, and even possibly platelet rich plasma therapy might help more then everything else. Is there any other links to this stuff? Can anyone share some info on this?
  11. I would definitely get in touch with the doctor, but even if it means waiting out a few more months. Once you cross the 12 month mark then I would definitely see what's up. Have you contacted the Dr. again? What is he saying? Is the doc willing to help you out in some way? I personally think that the results should be better, but then I don't know much about necrosis either. Are you taking propecia/rogiane as well?
  12. I hope your condition improves and that the doctor takes care of it. It's great there is a doctor willing to help you out locally and that you don't have to travel far for help. By doing what Dr. Path is doing, it clearly shows the doc is very ethical and wants to help. That's amazing and good on him. Hope he gets more and more people in return for the good work he did. People like that deserve it. Is Folliculitis a serious condition to be wary of after hair transplantation? Does it spread or affect a few hairs? I definitely would want to know how to prevent it. By plucking the grafts would they continue to grow or completely be pulled from the root? I am going to get a transplant later but it's good to know these things prior to it, so that if it comes up then I know how to handle it. Thanks.
  13. I wouldn't say your crown is too bad but I think propecia might help it more. Since you just started it so you may see the effects like 3 months from now. If you want a hairtransplant you can get one, for the front, but it doesn't even look that bad, but it depends on how you want your hair to be. Usually, a lot of other forum members would say not to get a hair transplant at age 22 but at 45 if you would want one, it wont be too bad. Because probably by this time your hairloss has probably stabilized, so if you are to get a transplant, I don't think you would lose more native hair then what you have lost.
  14. From what many people have told me, the laser on the scalp thing, it does not work and it is a waste of money. There is a video some hair transplant doctor did that spoke of this issue. He showed it using tissue and explained it so well that I am not messing with lasers. As for propecia, it is scientifically proven to stop hairloss and so is rogaine. I would definitely give it a shot, but if your concerned about sex drive you can take pills like levitra or something. If you deem your hair to be very important then you might as well take it after speaking to a doctor. Those remedies can buy you time, until they come up with something else. I mean look at where hair transplants were 20 years ago and look at them now, there is a lot of improvement, and new ways to do them.
  15. What do you consider nominal cost? Fue or Strip? number of grafts needed? Available donor supply? If you can answer those questions then that would help finding the right doctor. There are many good doctors to choose from. Whether you want one local, international, for the cost, number of sessions, and etc etc. What are your goals? What do you see your result to be after a transplant?
  16. Hi, do you have photos with your head not shaved? That can show your donor area and the extent of baldness clearly on the scalp? It's hard to really tell from the photos you have up right now because you can't really figure out what norwood pattern it is. That doctor you mentioned, I personally have not heard of at all. Did you see any of his work? Are you also going for FUE or Strip? 5000 Is a lot of grafts. If it is FUE, I don't think it can be done in one session.
  17. Thanks David. Well hopefully it starts functioning with Ipad and other devices. This way, I can be on the site anywhere without any errors on these small devices. Don't even carry a laptop around as much anymore and just use the desktop at home. These days, most of us are using portable smaller devices, cell phones, iphone, ipad, etc. It seems like a really great idea. So, when is the online store coming and what items will be offered at the store?
  18. Yes, they are definitely life savers. I do not know what I would do without them. However, it depends how you apply them. If you buy the 25 gram size, you can still attach the separate spray/pump to it for a better result. It evenly throws it into all areas of the scalp. The spray/pump add on if used properly can also help create artificial temples and you get good at it with practice. But this product does buy a person time until a procedure and or limited use of hats. Depends on what your norwood scale is though and hair color. It works well on the crown. However, I would definitely use an umbrella if it is raining or not to put too much on if it is very hot out and you are sweating, as it may seem strange, dripping toppik with sweat. I would also avoid it on GEL, as under heavy white light, it might mix with the gel and turn out with a hint of purple if you are using the dark brown toppik/black toppik. It's preferred use is with dry hair. Just be careful not to get it in your eyes, forehead, or accidentally inhale the stuff. Give it a shot and they even have smaller sizes for you to try.
  19. I got nearly a 1000 views on this thread but no one answered. Looks like Iphone app for this forum is generating user interest. I am sure even for Ipads or other cell phones, it would really be convenient.
  20. Blake, you are right. The spelling is questionable but I don't know why they would write such a claim. Even I am confused now. I think they are a foreign clinic. It's like 50/50 for me. It could be either way, it could thin and shed later or remain. I just do not know the solid answer to it. I have looked at a couple results online in various places relating to nape hair, but no one really has complained yet of it's negative effects after their transplant. Or maybe not enough time has passed for it to show negative effects. However, I have read somewhere that 10% of people do go through a certain condition where their hair recedes from the front, as well as from the nape, at the same time. They might be more prone to it and probably should not use the nape at all. I forgot the name of the condition. I can't remember what it is called exactly. For nape hairs, maybe there are cases with complaints, I just do not know for sure yet. But I hope secondtime has a great transplant and hopefully he wont need another transplant at another time. Secondtime, wish you good luck and really would like to see your progress after the transplant.
  21. Saw your pictures, good luck to you. Hope it turns out as you would like it to and do keep us updated. Did you have any pain or discomfort in after surgery? Thanks for sharing.
  22. Hi Zac25, who was your surgeon? Fue or Strip? Good luck.
  23. Dude, my crown is worse then that and docs have suggested I let it be since it's thinning but putting hairs on it may do it more harm right now since it isn't that bad. Your crown looks normal. I wouldn't even consider you needing anything for it at this moment.
