  1. Thanks for the information and explanation Dr. Mohmand. Very interesting stuff here regarding FUE and Strip.
  2. It's great to see a thread like this that is very civilized. Definitely a stressful situation, but a very civilized discussion. Some patients curse, scream, shout, and what not over an unsuccessful result due to many things. But this person has remained all calm and smooth. I feel bad you didn't get the growth, as I know everyone has expectations after surgery, it's a time consuming, expensive process of moving your donor hairs to better your looks and self esteem, the months of waiting, and etc. People want to look better by this process and when you don't get what everyone seems to get, then you just go through emotional hell even more. It's is completely understandable. It's discussions like these that are very useful. I know a couple people that had a similar situation with some coalition docs but they are satisfied with the resolutions they and the docs came up with. Every doc varies and offers different things when things like this happen. Hope you reach a resolution and are satisfied. Good luck.
  3. spammer your in the wrong forum if your tryna sell coats and jackets
  4. Cant Decide, glad you had a great experience. I am also going to have surgery with Dr. Rahal in the future. I know you went for strip, I am doing FUE. Really would like to see your progress and results. 5229 grafts is a lot, and having 5000 more available for later is amazing. What were you on norwood? Hope it turns out great, good luck!
  5. a lot of money and time but in the end, the result would leave you with some peace of mind It's gonna look great and your recent pics, the crusts are already fallin, swelling is basically gone The design looks great, really lookin forward to seeing this transplant result That's a lot of grafts and definitely will make a big difference good luck
  6. yep, he must have paid a lot of dough for something like that had no idea until this elton john hair thread was started, i don't get down to his music enough to realize he was bald, but whoever did work on his head with the hairpiece, did a pretty good job Seriously may be a good option to some people that may have no hair at all up top and not enough donor to get the job done though.
  7. Elton John is bald? I never even knew that
  8. That's gonna be an amazing transplant! Looks pretty good right now!
  9. who was the surgeon ?????????????? and what size punch was used? That scares me as much as serious strip scars I hope mine turns out well when I go for it.
  10. Dr. Charles, do you have any transplantation photos regarding BHT? I had no idea you did it along with FUE.
  11. I hope more and more docs consider using body hair as filler hair. I think it's a valuable resource, esp with fue cases, to add density probably. I don't think body hair alone in a portion of the scalp would look good, but I think it can come in handy if used like TOPPIK, sprinkled all over in between other hairs. It can act as a concealer/filler hair. I mean I got plenty of body hair, and if i ever ran out of hair to use, i wouldn't mind using body hair to fill in the gaps. I really think some doctors should research it, and perfect the technique in implanting it. Coalition doctors should consider it, esp those that specialize in FUE. It may be more time consuming then regular FUE, so maybe that's why some doctors avoid it since I believe it's either in 1 or 2 hair grafts. But if it helps someone, and is known to grow, then maybe it's a good thing.
  12. good luck to you! hope it turns out great and the way you want it. definitely want to see the end result. 1500 grafts would probably be great, and your donor density looks good from the pics, thanks for sharing
  13. Finhair, take before use and after month use pics, I really wanna see if this works. Been reading up on it, and it is interesting. Got me even thinking it may work well.
  14. I personally think, if you keep the hair that short, then probably a fue insertion after a scar revision would be good or a TATTOO or PIGMENT insertion by a cosmetic specialist. That's probably the only way to fix or REDUCE it rather. I don't think with hair that short, the scar could ever be invisible regardless of what cosmetic work that occurs. Because even if you do pigmentation or tatoo, as you age your hair colors would turn grey or white and you have to redo it again to keep up with the hair color. But if you do a scar revision and have fue's placed you probably are in better shoes and at least the color of the hair would match all other hairs in your scalp. But again, it would cost a lot of money. It's a tough situation but if you are leaning only on cosmetic surgery then check out the whole pigmentation and tattoo for scars on the site.
  15. the patient being a class VI, it looks great for the amount of grafts used. nice work!
  16. This is one of those topics that you can go either way, but it depends on how you style your hair and want it, what if you have more hairloss in the future, and what not. You have to ask so many questions just to determine what you feel comfortable with. It's something I even went back and forth with for a while. There are other threads on this forum that pertain to that topic, FUE vs Strip. Each has its own benefit, each has its own disadvantage. If you don't cut your hair short then probably strip is for you. But if you cut your hair shorter then maybe Fue is for you. Maybe it will ultimately depend on how many grafts you need?
  17. Aaron, thanks for the valuable information. it's going to help me save tons of money. I was about to consider propecia in its original form with that coupon the merck company is giving out on their website, but even with that coupon it's hundreds of dollars more. By taking this route, you can't beat $40 per year on generic finisteride. That's a steal as compared to around $700 per year. Thanks a lot.
  18. Good luck and def keep us posted. I'd like to see how it comes out. It could be a great alternative for some people that have scars or lack donor hair in areas such as the crown.
  19. Wow, I just read these old threads relating to him and another user RCWEST linked to, and I was just shocked. It all comes down to business ethics. Did you get a procedure done by him?
  20. That's a good question, even I do not know if it is safe right after surgery for the newly implanted grafts? I would like to know too.
  21. Ive seen a couple of the results your users had of the product you are trying to market here. But i do not believe that a product could work like that and if it did it would be on the news and a threat to the hair loss product industry. Ive been to the site you linked in your profile and seen other users results you posted last 2 days. Only thing proven to work is finisteride, rogaine, possibly nizoral and other shampoos in that category. All these herbal and homeopathic remedies just dont do a thing, waste time, money, and could end up wasting your time for years expecting them to work. I like how you asked the question to manipulate to sell and market your product. Pretty slick.
  22. 3 month supply for $9? Is that with insurance or without $9 bucks for fin?
