  1. Not a bad decision to postpone in my opinion. Even after 12 months I noticed changes with my HT. A couple months and you might have a better idea what you really need to address with HT#2.
  2. btw, your scar looks pretty darn good. Quick question: Maybe you stated this already, but will your next procedure use a donor strip excising the old scar... or will you get a second scar?
  3. Scar looks very good! Probably won't absolutely need a transplant to hide it in 6 months. Anxious to see it again.
  4. Corv, Your results so far look pretty good. The spots where you say is lagging behind in growth is apparent but not by much. I think another procedure will def do the trick. Though I personally would wait a full 12 months to see how the hair matures before another procedure I think you'll do just fine. Good luck! Thanks for the great pic documentation!
  5. I saw his pre-op pic and wondered why this guy wanted a HT. And then I saw the 1 year post-op pics. Big difference! Such a soft hairline. Great work again Janna - see you in two weeks!
  6. Good luck balody! You're a true vet. Can't wait to see pics.
  7. Looks great orlhair! Those 3,000 grafts should make a nice improvement for you. Keep up posted!
  8. It's not great but it's not terrible either. I do think Emp might be better off with another surgeon if he wants to improve his situation because he simply does not trust Dr. Wong any more. But he certainly wasn't butchered by him or didn't have any yield.
  9. Emp, Thanks for sharing with us your results, even though you are not pleased with them. I honestly don't think your results are that bad. They are not miracle results but I think you look better now than you did before the surgeries. I do appreciate the difference between seeing pictures of results and living personally with the results, and that still shots do not give the entire story. But I agree with hairthere that the picture with your hair parted to the side looks pretty good. I'm sure you know that styling is an important factor with making the best out of HT hair. The toppik'ed pics are pretty good as well. The combed forward and parted look aren't so great. As for your crown expansion claim, how are you sure that you just didn't lose more hair in the area? I have seen a couple of patients of Dr. Wong on the forums who's results didn't pan out so well. I wouldn't put you in that category. But again, I am seeing pictures of your hair and you are living with your hair. What is your next step? I wouldn't completely rule out strip again. Maybe a couple smaller ones of about 1,000 grafts are in order, perhaps? Again, sorry you are not happy Emp but I think your hair is looking better than you think. I hope for nothing but the best for you.
  10. Awesome! Please post some pics of the procedure! Good luck, not that you need it.
  11. HT without meds is a dangerous route. Fin has been shown to improve the quality of hair even in the donor region, so I'd get on it and stay on it.
  12. Cooley is great but I would consult with at least 3-5 other coalition surgeons. I agree that 2,000 grafts just ain't going to cut it.
  13. Looks like great work. Please tell me the post-op care instructions included "DO NOT WEAR A TURBAN AGAIN. EVER!" But seriously, how do you delicately let them know that their religious attire is causing them to lose their hair? Did this guy denounce his religion or something after the procedure? Traction alopecia is so unnecessary.
  14. Yeah, absolutely too young for surgery! But not too young to start on Finasteride. You still have a lot of hair to save.
  15. secondtime, Your hair is looking fantastic. You must have the nape hair of a gorilla! I really hope that it is long lasting and that your nape hair stays strong. Maybe get on propecia (if you haven't already) to preserve that precious nape! Again, looking fantastic.
  16. Very good work there Dr. Cooley! Very natural looking and I could never tell he had a transplant.
  17. I hear ya bro about the effects of hair loss. I don't know of any thing that really aids in accelerating the healing. I was a slow healer myself and the redness persisted for awhile... but eventually it went away. I've heard some people use mederma on the scar. Don't know how well it works. Who was your doc? How many grafts did you get? Do you have any pre-op, post-op photos you can share with the forum? You'd get tons of more helpful feedback.
  18. Well, of course you're scar is going to be noticeable when you cut your hair that short. But I'd have to say that your scar looks pretty good at this point and the minimal shockloss you have around that area will come back eventually. 5 months is still very early and you should expect more growth in the coming months.
  19. And if a doc has been doing work for 35 years you can be damn sure there were a handful of plug jobs along the way. Just sayin'....
