  1. Actually, it lasts me about 4 months. Sorry, bad math.
  2. TC17, I get 30 pills and it lasts me about 3 months. I believe it is a generic version of proscar. I remember the days when I paid over $200 for a three month supply of propecia. And I used to pay $80 for generic proscar at Walmart. Not anymore thanks to a new generic promo.
  3. There are none. I'm from the area and my first transplant was by a Milwaukee (and Madison area doc) and he did not do a good job on me. I would recommend doing a lot of research on this forum before picking a doc. But the best in the midwest for me is Dr. Konior in Chicago and Ron and Paul Shapiro in Minnesota.
  4. Yes, Propecia and Proscar are both finasteride. Propecia is 1MG. Proscar is 5MG. If you cut Proscar into fourths you have roughly 1.25MG per dose.
  5. The best thing closest to Indy is Dr. Konior in Chicago and Shapiro Medical in Minnesota. But like the others said, don't let travel decide your surgeon.
  6. $9 at Walmart if you get Proscar and cut them into 1/4th's. Hard to beat that.
  7. The over head shot is great. And the crown is looking just spectacular. Can't wait to see it in another six months!
  8. I regret not going to SMG for my first procedure. You're going to a great doc, I'm sure it'll turn out to your liking.
  9. Was this patient on meds? Fin? Because this looks like a classic example of transplanted hair simply replacing the miniaturized hair.
  10. Ron and Paul Shapiro! How in the world did you not to go to them before when live in Minnesota?
  11. Been on it for 6 years. No problems... even though my penis did fall off once. Dang propecia.
  12. Gardiner is totally wearing concealer. Wearing it well I guess, but not being completely honest about his true results. Also, $35,000 for that is ridiculous. There will be a lot of disappointed British millionaires after they realize they must cake on loads of dermmatch after a 3,000 graft procedure with Dr. Zierwig or whatever his name. Fraudulent in my opinion.
  13. Great turn around. I noticed he had some scalp redness in his pre-op pics, the longer hair certainly does well to hide it if it indeed still does exist.
  14. Congrats Hal. You picked the best. Can't wait to see the pics!
  15. Looks good hairthere. All the best with the waiting game... but I'm sure it'll all be worth it in the end.
  16. Dr. Konior. No question. But also look into SMG (Dr. Ron and Paul Shapiro) in Minnesota as it is only a 7 hour drive from Chicago. Well worth the trip imo.
  17. I completely agree. If I got SMP done, I would not use it in the hairline but rather behind it to increase the appearance of density. I hope this encourages other top clinics to experiment with SMP and that it develops like FUT or FUE did. The more options we have the better. As for graying, I don't see it being a huge deal. And if it is, add grey pigment like hairthere said or just use some hair dye.
  18. Dr. Rassman posted another patient with the SMP procedure today. I think it looks quite good. It's a like a concealer that you don't need to wash out... which is a plus if you ask me. What I'm curious about is if they are shock loss or transection risks with the scalp pigmentation.
  19. Looks great! Very age appropriate hairline. I think the after photos might actually be taken in a different room, thus the different shade of blue paint on the wall. I know my before and after pictures were taken by different people in different rooms. No shenanigans, it was just whoever was free at the moment.
  20. This is probably why Dr. Paul told me to hold off on dermmatch until month 6. But now I use it everyday. This is certainly something that should be looked into more deeply.
  21. Thanks for all your help Jason! You represented a great clinic in a great way.
