  1. You are not going to get enough coverage with FUE with your state of loss. Look into Dr. Rassman's Scalp-micropigmentation. It is relatively new, but might be a viable option for you especially since you want a close cut.
  2. I can guarantee you that is what happened to Biden. His hairline is much softer now than it used to be. I can bet he is thankful for some donor thinning. It really improved his look, though still not the most pleasant looking hairline. Thanks Dr. Konior for your insight on this thread.
  3. Trooper posted this thread a couple days ago. I imagine the year date on the camera photos are wrong.
  4. and thanks for the p.s. props. 8) I am quite pleased with the results myself. Round 2 is roughly 5 weeks away. Getting pumped.
  5. Great questions TC17. I often see men in their later years (maybe 70's, 80's) and their donor zone is completely gone. I wonder if they had some sort of diffuse alopecia, or I wonder when their donor area started to disappear. I guess that is senile alopecia and wonder if finasteride could prevent it or at least fight it. Unfortunately Mitch, no one can help you out if you don't present the forums with good quality before and after pics. If there is any clinic that looks out for its patients it is SMG so do yourself a favor and contact them for a follow up. Like you said, 9K is a lot of money. So you owe it to yourself to get to the bottom of this.
  6. There have been a few bad results shown on the forums recently. But how many of them are from SMG? Zero. You've made a good call Spanker. No need to worry.
  7. Good idea for a thread corvettester! And great post Dr. Konior! One question: Could finasteride potentially delay future donor thinning? Could it strengthen donor hair?
  8. Totally agree with Jotronic. Why the heck would someone spend thousands of dollars on a transplant and NOT style the hair in a way that would compliment it?!? Styling is everything. Also, get on Finasteride. Looking forward to hearing what Dr. Feller has to say about this case.
  9. Yeah, for 3000 grafts or more do a strip procedure. FUE won't cut it for megasessions imo.
  10. I'd consult Rahal, Simmons, and H@W if I were in Canada. Heck, I'd it if I were from anywhere. Great clinics.
  11. 3,000 grafts is quite a lot for an FUE procedure. I don't know if either doc would even go that far in one or even two days.
  12. The crown is in a typical MPB horseshoe pattern. I would guess it is just that. MPB patterns can begin developing in the teens. It's not often but it happens.
  13. Nice pics hairthere. It's just amazing how different the story is with the wet overhead shots. With the front and side shots it looks like a full head of hair. I feel the same way about my hair which is why I am also going in for another round in a few weeks. All the best growing to you this time around!!
  14. Fantastic work. How much donor does this patient have left? I think his upper temples/corners could be brought forward a tad to better match the placement of the hairline. But again, great turn-around for this patient.
  15. The ugly duckling phase is depressing, no doubt about it. Hang tough!
  16. RockZ, Congrats man! Looks like great work as expected. I am intrigued that SMG used ACell for your procedure. So keep us posted with monthly updates! Don't leave us hangin'.
  17. I haven't had it done, but am eagerly waiting to see how the rest of the industry responds to Dr. Rassman's implementation of this new procedure. I'm sure you have seen a few of his results. I have seen some great results from it and some that weren't so great. Hey, sort of like hair transplants!
  18. Ian, your hair looks excellent. Spectacular work by Dr. Feller. No more surgeries if the meds hold up!
  19. Either one in my opinion. Both great docs. You'll be in good hands either way.
  20. Epstein had a pretty nasty break up with HTN awhile ago. Doesn't mean he is incapable of giving you a good result.... But do your homework.
  21. Yeah, the wet hair doesn't do your hair any justice at this point. Do you usually wear it like you just got out of the shower? Of course, it's gonna look thin. Transplanted hair only looks as good as you want it to. Make the best of what you have, not the worst.
  22. You're in great hands. Just sit back and relax and enjoy the prospect for better hair in the future. Looking forward to seeing the pics!
  23. 18 days the grafts should be secure. Just shave cautiously and you should be fine.
