Yeah, two full days and the third was a half day. They don't do that anymore at SMG. It's all done in one day now from what I understand.

Pretty pleased at the even hairline...

Donor are at day 2 and right now and three and half weeks...! I got a haircut about four days ago too.

I had the distinct pleasure of undergoing another procedure at SMG for a 357 FUE touch up (mainly on the left side of my hairline). The last three years have been excellent after my initial 1538 FUE procedure (also performed by Dr. Shapiro) and the perfectionist side of me opted to undergo a minor touch up when the opportunity arose. Going in for a one day procedure (that ended a little after 1 PM after arriving at the clinic at 7:30 AM) was a walk in the park compared to the three day procedure three years ago. Besides this just being a smaller procedure, I went in psychologically with much greater comfort having already went through the arduous research and decision making process of considering at HT. Additionally, knowing how comforting and accommodating SMG is made the process immeasurably easier. I came in fully prepared to shave my head and was extraordinarily happy I was able to leave around 3/4 inch on top due to the small procedure. SMG having an in-house stylist is beyond awesome! The extractions were performed by Dr. Josephitis (new to SMG in 2013). while Dr. Paul Shapiro created the incisions. Janna expertly placed in the grafts. So a big thanks to all the staff from the start (Matt Zupan for coordinating) to finish. I am impressed so far by the progression of healing as the ATP Liposomal spray seems to be working well. I am pretty stoked on the results so far and will post updates accordingly. Please see the attached post-op day three pictures.

Completely satisfied the last few years and am going for a touch up procedure tomorrow......blog updated with t minus one pre-op pics.....will start a new thread......

Hi Jana, I was actually in a few days ago during the lunch hour. It was fantastic to meet with Matt Zupan, Dr. Paul and Tom again! I'm sorry I missed you this time. I posted a few updated pictures on my blog a moment ago.

Sorry for the delay. It's been several months since I've made an update. I can understand that after the result grows in some people may fall into the 'problem solved' status. After about a year here, however, my hair has definitely thickened even more and I am extraordinarily pleased with the results. I was looking at a picture when I was 21 about 8 or 9 years ago and my hair now looks so much thicker! Best of luck everyone and I will respond to all PM's if you message me. I am happy to help.

Thanks Levrais. When I wrote about it being subtle but making a huge difference I made that comment independently before I saw yours so no need to clarify. Your case was a huge inspiration for mine. Yes, ACell seems to have been working great.

Thank you for posting the pictures Janna. It was great being able to come back in and visit. The staff at SMG were phenomenal, extremely attentive and very friendly as usual. They certainly go above and beyond in taking care of their patients. It may be appear to be a subtle difference but it has absolutely made a world of difference for me as far as the density (I was pleasantly surprised) and the overall appearance of my hairline. I've been able to style my hair much easier and I am indeed extremely happy with the results! I will continue to post updates soon to my website. Thanks again.

Hello everyone. Thanks for following and I apologize for the delay in updating things here. I will post a more thorough update this weekend with pictures but there are a few key points I wanted to make at this time. First, the thickness of the hair has exceeded my expectations. I really did not know what to expect or consider that aspect as much perhaps but I am very pleased with how it's developing. The right side of my hairline was coming in stronger for awhile but now this is starting to even out. As I am approaching the six month time frame I'm sure I have a little ways to go but I feel like I'm almost at the 'problem solved' status. I easily would've been happy for the result I had probably almost a month ago based on how I looked before. This has had a tremendous impact so far and am thankful with the support and progression.

Not a problem. I'm happy to share as always. I'm a few weeks away from being four months post-op but one other aspect worth mentioning is how much thicker the area behind the center of my hairline that was reinforced with additional grafts is. That area was thinning and I didn't really notice it as much pre-op but I am amazed at how much of a difference in thickness and density it already is at this point and the cosmetic difference it has made. I feel like it's like it was when I was around 18 or 19 years old which is pretty phenomenal. Thing seem to get better each day.......

Was in same situation as you. Three and half months post op from SMG and growing in well. You should be fine with whoever you chose that were mentioned.
