  1. hi WB.....these photos are not of me, they are showing a patient of Dr. True's but thanks for the comment*
  2. Mick.....coming along nicely....how many months has it been?
  3. appreciate the comment Mick....yea the treatment really held up well, would be nice to beef up the front some more but not bad as is..........for anyone that wonders about the role of Propecia, this is just another example of how meaningful its use can be - it can really change the dynamics of hair loss progression and allows the hair transplant restoration to be that much more successful and efficient.
  4. thanks for your comment future, Mick, azn......yes azn the patient had a larger percentage of 2 hair follicular units so he came out with a decent number of hairs
  5. This case is demonstrates how a single transplant session can produce a result that can stand the test of time, creating natural, uniform, permanent hair despite further hair loss progression in the treated area. Dr. True met this patient in 2006 after he had been thinning for @ 7 years and had developed a 4/4a type pattern. As the befores indicate, the front was extremely miniaturized and crown was showing early signs of thinning. He started on Propecia and at the same time did a strip FUT of 2597 follicular units consisting of 1134 singles and 1463 twos/threes. Presently all of his front is now transplanted. The top/crown has been fairly well stabilized with Propecia. Dr. True plans to do a second procedure to now add higher density to the frontal/top region.
  6. wow......there's no doubt this is a shady organization....you would hope if someone came across this they would intuitively realize it but sometimes there can be a desperation effect from losing your hair that clouds one's judgement. This is why its important to have places like this forum to sift through the BS. thanks for posting
  7. This patient from Boston came in recently for follow-up. Its been 3 years since we first initiated his hair restoration. Prior to treatment, although a bit difficult to discern from the before photos, he presented with a classic 4 pattern with signs of progressing to a 5A. In transplanting over 3400 follicular units to the front, central region, and vertex, we successfully transitioned from what was really a transient, miniaturizing coverage to a healthy foundation of permanent natural transplanted hair. Propecia is also part of this patients regimine. Total grafts: 3449 Total hairs: 5422 1502 singles - 1921 doubles - 26 threes
  8. Janna.....well designed result...i like how the front hairline isn't overdone - the graft allocation seems to be the perfect match for the front and crown - might even see some more thickening in the vertex to boot...kudos*
  9. Just saw this patient 10 days after his procedure for suture removal. Dr. Dorin did a initial of 2,556 follicular units for this patient with a 3v/4 pattern with likely evolution to a 5/5A 922 singles 1536 doubles 98 threes A total of 3464 hairs have been transplanted. Propecia has been used now for @9 months.
  10. definitely a hugh transformation....could maybe enhance things with some work in the temporal areas but even without the result stands on its own.....impressive*
  11. Mick.....liking the design on this one....keep us posted - looks promising*
  12. thank for the comment Robin - Dr. True as well as the patient was very pleased with the change - since the procedure there has been some progression centrally - this may be addressed with another step but overall hes in good shape with just the one treatment
  13. I concur......i was having Janna withdrawal......another great ultra-refined example*
  14. I wouldn't think meds are highly critical for this patient.......i like the hairline design, should reframe his face nicely....looks good Mick*
